Showed up at 10:52 for an 11:00 appointment. Was never acknowledged or asked why I was there. I had to walk up to the stylist and say we had an 11am appointment it was now 11:16. She said she be able to get to me by 11:30. I walked out at 11:42 after never being acknowledged again. Terrible service. read more

Needed a haircut but my usual stylist not available. I bit the proverbial bullet and came here. Haircut is supposed to have wash and cut. No wash. None. Just "ven acá" to sit in the chair for the cut. Gave input on usual cut, but obviously it did t resonate. Next day, still looked shaggy. Uneven. Fifteen minutes tops in the chair. Stylist was very pleasant (only reason for the second star), but an inferior haircut is what it is. Ouch. Waiting anxiously for my regular stylist to be available; don't like looking like a sheepdog (with wavy hair, no less!)! Probably good for kids, but if your expectations are a bit higher I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

The person I wanted to schedule with wasn't available until Monday so I had one with someone else. she zipped right through my haircut to get back to another client who was dying her hair. It took her less than 15 min to wash and cut my hair which was fine if she did an ok job. my hair is lopsided and had straggling hairs even after she "fixed". I had To get someone to snip the longer strands when I got home. whatever. next time I'll wait for the person (flor) who got my haircut right. read more

The Kendall lakes Hair cuttery clearly felt inconvenienced that I had booked at 5:15pm hair appointment time online and they did not want to honor it. I was pleasantly surprised with the quickness of service and friendliness of staff. Upon arriving on a busy Saturday afternoon, I was quickly attended to and got a haircut as well as a single color. I was able to take advantage of a nice discount for first timers and all in all, had a good experience with my hairstylist. Recommended. read more

Originally walked into a hair salon down the block from here but after not being greeted upon arrival, having to approach someone and being told (in a rude manner) that it was unknown when I could be attended, depends on whoever "finishes first" maybe an hour, maybe more I decided not to spend my money there and headed over to Hair Cuttery for the first time ever. Here, I was immediately greeted upon arrival and to my surprise they took no longer than 5 minutes to attend me, on a busy Saturday, Lissandra was very patient as well as accommodating to my needs and very sweet. I got a wash, hair cut and a little blow dry so I could see the results (I didn't ask for a blow dry) so this was a nice gesture . I was even more surprised to find out my total was $18! I will be coming here from now on walking out of the other place was the best decision I could have made (: thanks Lissandra! read more

Zero stars ! I walked in on a sun afternoon with my 4yr old son for a haircut . One hairstylist was smoking outside and looked irritated that we were walk in 's and when another hairstylist approached the front desk she ask what service we needed . The other hairstylist told her in Spanish who does she think she is coming in at this time . I guess she didn't know I knew enough Spanish because,I spoke in English .This happened in the west Kendall location ! Sorry if someone doesn't want to work then why go to work . I showed a picture of the cut my daughter wanted, which was straight bangs with a separate longer strand of bangs on either side. Another stylist translated, as Damarys did not speak English. Damarys did not ask how short the bangs should be and started cutting the bangs in the center starting at the eyebrow level on wet hair, not allowing for any bounce up, making the bangs shorter when they dry. She started cutting at an angle to the edge, which is not what we had requested. I stopped her and explained again. The same person translated. It seemed that Damarys was arguing with her. I pulled up another picture to show what we wanted. She still argued. Another stylist started assisting with the translating. From the bit of Spanish I know it seemed Damarys was saying she couldn't do what we were asking. I asked the translating stylist if she could take over. I think Damarys understood that because then she agreed to do what we asked. She evened up the angled part so that it was straight bangs in the center and separated out the amount of hair we requested on either side for the longer side strands and cut them at the length we requested. However the center bangs were cut too short from the get go, as Damarys did not allow for any bounce of the hair after it dried. My daughter is very upset, as she wanted to look nice for Christmas, but the bangs will not grow to the proper length in one week. She mentioned that they are too short to even be put to the side in clips to hide the bad cut until they grow. Damarys exhibited an unpleasant attitude throughout the experience. read more

I went to this particular establishment. Janet cut my hair. She charged me 41 dollars. When I looked at my receipt, the transaction read " haircut/shampoo- $17.00 Cashback- $24.00. JANET happily took advantage of my ignorance and tipped herself 24 dollars. I've gotten the district manager involved, as well as Wells Fargo. I Hope Janet gets what she deserves. I've brought my daughter here to get her hair cut twice. Each time I've been able to walk in without an appointment and not have to wait. If you have a child who won't sit still for long, I recommend going to cartoon cuts. My toddler however likes getting her hair cut. They don't rush her here like they do at the kiddie places, and they do a much better job. $13 for a cut, plenty of parking, and a happy good-looking kid. What more could you ask for? read more

I should've expected a horrible experience so I'm mostly mad at myself but either way, this place was awful. I went in here for a simple shampoo, blow dry, and iron work. All stuff I could've done myself but since I'm not confident in my blow drying or curling skills and it was for a wedding, I preferred to just get it done professionally. It was a somewhat last minute decision so I didn't wanna take my chances on a salon that I knew might not have time/would be expensive. So I came here and I left incredibly disappointed. I don't think what I asked for was that hard to do but the lady messed it up anyway. She kept complaining that the curls weren't holding and I told her it's because she's using a straight iron and my hair will only hold curls if it's with a curling iron and you can leave it on for more than 2-3 seconds. She kept using the iron anyway. She eventually had some other lady come and help her and she got the curls to hold but it looked horrendous. I wish I had the guts to refuse to pay for awful service but I don't and I payed my $50(!!!) anyway. $50!!! I could've paid that at an actual salon!!! I went home and it was killing me but I ended up just doing it myself. I am PISSED that I lost $50 but considering it's for a wedding I didn't have much of a choice. So upsetting, horrible horrible job, absolutely not worth it. Don't come here. read more

The haircut was average. I got it done by Sara. She was OK! They charged me more than what they told me before the haircut. When I asked them about it, I couldn't understand because I don't know Spanish and they didn't know english. There was a huge communication gap. I am never going back there again. read more

I went here for a cut and blow-dry/iron. They did exactly that, but the work did not really exceed my expectations. I have been to other salons that leave my hair straighter and smoother than this. I've followed my favorite stylist, Lucy, from another shop. She has such a great touch...right color, right cut. Just remember that they don't take appointments, so you might have to tack on a thirty minute wait to a three-hour highlight and cut session. read more
