usually have good experiences here, however today brought my 10 year old boy in for his long awaited Bieber style cut to start school only to be treated like an inconvenience. my son has Autism and is extremely sensitive to a lot of things especially how he's treated. After the stylist cut his hair for maybe 3 minutes she said ok your done and walk to the back and yelled aren't you coming, leaving him in a barber chair that was raised to its max height to climb out of. I have gone to this salon several times over the last few years for a trim. Nothing ever complicated. Never had a complaint. The last time I went in I asked for long layers and curtain bangs. I even brought in a picture. My hair was all one length. The person who did my hair absolutely butchered my hair. I now have to wait for my hair to grow out to even it out on the top. I can't even straighten it because it's so hacked up. I have since had to cut about 6 inches off the back of my hair because she butchered it so bad. I'm posting what I asked for, what I ended up with and what I used to look like. This place is horrible!! The person who cut my hair had really short blue hair in a pixie cut. I don't know if it was her first day on the job, but it should have been her last. I didn't go back to complain because I'm just too livid. I can't step foot in that place. read more

Ruined my hair!!! I went in for overall color and highlights and a trim. I thought everything was going well. She foiled and colored, she trimmed my hair and blow dried it. She had me stand up and look through a small mirror. Hair looked fine from what I was able to see. I paid, giving her a very good tip and left. I met my husband at a store and pulled my hair back in a ponytail like I normally wear it. My neck was stained. She never even attempted to clean it up. I never thought about that. I have never left a salon with my neck covered in hair dye. I went back and the girl, Jessica, cleaned it up and apologized. When I got home, I was horrified by what I saw in the light of my bathroom. She didn't color half of my hair. I called and the manager told me to come back in the following Sunday. The manager took pictures of my hair. She couldn't believe that I looked like that. They re-dyed and highlighted my hair. I was there for 5 hours. They said I would have to come back in the next month so my hair had time between to not over-process it. I would get color and foil and conditioner to finish fixing it and not charge me. I went back in today and I was told that I would have to pay. They told me that they never said there would be no charges. Jessica is still there. My hair is still not right. I will never go back to them. Don't trust them. They don't care!!! RUN AWAY QUICKLY!!! read more

WARNING: These people are not professionals at all. It seems they hire whoever to work here. I haven't had this bad of a haircut in probably 5+ years, and my hairs not even hard to cut. Specifically, Dyann doesn't know how to cut hair and left me uneven all over, and even cut one sideburn off and left the other.... I was in complete disbelief. I've never seen such lazy work in my life and I regret giving her a tip. She should not be cutting hair, and to call her a "senior designer" is very misleading. I have frizzy big hair and no one tames it like her you'd have to see my natural hair to understand how much of a flex this is on her skill set. Saw an ad saying first time haircut plus a wash was only $12.99.. so my boyfriend decided to go here. He specifically told the lady (did not catch her name) that he wanted to keep his comb over just to clean it up .. instead she completely took off the entire side of his head. Said "it would blend better" after she clearly realized he was upset! Not only that but the fade is very choppy and not straight. The back on his head, one side was rounded and one was squared. After all this, all she could say was sorry! She thought it would blend better. Not what can I do to fix this.. As we are checking out she charges him $18 and says don't worry you don't have to tip me, it always asks that. We definitely do not recommend going here! Very disappointed. read more

This place is to haircuts what mule crap is to fine dining. Yes. It's that bad. I've been bald for nearly 15 years. My wife asked me to grow my hair again so I did. All it took was these IDIOTS to destroy it! My wife and I went together. Unfortunately we both needed cuts. My wife walked in with a photo of what she was looking for and pretty specific instructions. When they were done with her she looked exactly like Spock. Yeah, Star Trek's Spock! The fact that they were able to give her a bowl haircut without using a bowl is amazing, but not at all related to what she asked for. My hair was pretty much what I wanted when I walked in. It was just getting a bit long. I explained this to the moron cutting my hair and she did exactly that. Then she said, "You want more off the top?" I said, "No." So she cut the top/front making it so she'd have to cut the top... "Snip!", and it was over. You know what? If you can't do it... If you're not qualified... JUST SAY SO! Don't lop off someone's hair if you're not 100% sure you understand what they're looking for. Furthermore, if you see a picture and you don't know how to do it, DON'T DO IT! I'd rather explain it 100 times and get what I want then explain it once and end up bald. I'm shaving my head again which I guess is okay. At least I'll look like I do in my profile pic again. I had a haircut earlier in the day at the Genesis salon. I wasn't very impressed with that crooked misshapen haircut. My wife got home from work and said what the hell happened to you. Was the worst haircut I have ever gotten. It was about 7:15 on a Saturday evening, we rode down the road,next to Publix there was the hair Cuttery at Town Center. We walked in were greeted immediately. Natalie who would be my stylist looked at my haircut and said oh my God what happened. Natalie was a true professional she took her time she fixed it as best as she could I am very happy with the result and will be back. She listened to what I wanted which was to even out my hair & clean it up since I haven't had my hair cut in 5 months trying to grow it out & layers. She did just what I asked. This place completely butchered my hair and turned it orange. I do have to say that the stylist was very nice. I walked in with a photo and wanted blonde highlights with carmel lowlights. Had a fabulous cut and fabulous experience with Melissa! I am always skeptical about walk in hair salons, but I desperately needed a cut and was visiting my mom in Palm Coast. So I decided to give it a try. Now I wish I could come to Melissa all the time. She asked good questions, listened to what I wanted, confirmed as she was doing the cut, and was careful to check the cut before and after drying. I am a former salon owner. Retired from Maryland. I am a snob about Salons. I just moved here . Desperate for service I saw Hair Cuttery next to Publix. I was nervous but decided to try them. I got a Perm and cut from Terry. I am a tough critic mind you. Terry gets an A from me. The perm and cut were great! She also was very friendly and accommodating. Several weeks later I returned, Terry was out (Dr. appt) I decided to get services since I was there. Jess was amazing....color and cut were perfect, and she too was very friendly and accommodating. We moved to Palm Coast in December, and I hadn't had a haircut for almost two months because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find someone to do it the way I like it. I was pleasantly surprised to find Ally at this shop who did a terrific job. She listened when I told her how I like it, understood about my cowlick, and sent me home with a cut that was just right.
