About three days ago I decided I wanted to cut my hair after not getting it cut in over a year. My first choice was Salon La Vogue after I saw their other reviews and checked out some of their pictures here on yelp. I called in to see if I could get an appointment for as soon as possible. Right away from my conversation on the phone I knew I had found the right place. I expressed my concerns about my hair and what sort of hair I had which was met with understanding and reassuring answers, so I booked an appointment! Today when I walked in I was greeted by, literally, everyone working there. For someone who is always nervous about getting my haircut this was amazing! Gabby was my stylist who listened to what I wanted and even went as far as to talking me through how to style my hair after I leave the salon. Needless to say I could say so many glowing things but I'll keep it to this; this salon is a hidden gem that is worth a worlds worth of praise. I 100% recommend booking an appointment here, I can say for myself I can't wait to go back a check out the number of other services they have to offer!

The stylist even apologized *while* I was still in the chair, admitting she had cut it too short. Another stylist was brought over to "fix it," but it only made things worse. I tried to be polite, but the truth is my hair is now damaged, not blended, and just... ruined. This wasn't a miscommunication -- I was very clear about wanting a trim. I now have to find ways to grow my hair out fast before a major event, which is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values attention to detail or listening to what the client actually asks for.

Once PA was approved for small gatherings, we adjusted our plans to meet the state's standards (so went from a large ceremony and reception, to a very small outdoor ceremony with immediate family only). We were so fortunate with all the vendors we had selected, they were all amazing, flexible, and understanding. They turned what could have been a stressful ordeal into an absolutely perfect day. Meraki was no exception. The owner was so accommodating to the last minute changes we needed to make. She was willing to work with me, my mom, and my sisters so we could still look beautiful for the ceremony! Our hair was absolutely stunning and stayed in place all day (we all have very fine, straight hair so that in and of itself was an accomplishment!). They also adhered to all the state safety standards to make sure we all felt safe and comfortable during our appointment. We are planning to use them again next year for our very delayed reception!

Heather told me this is the second time I've canceled an appointment so I can not reschedule. I now need to call when I know I can make the appointment and see if she has any openings. Even if this was the second time I've canceled my appointment, twice in 2 years is not habitual. So rude, distasteful and unprofessional. I will no be going back.
