I arrived on time and waited a good 45 minutes until I'd had enough and went over to his station while he was still working on his client because the employee at the front desk wasn't particularly helpful. I told him how long I'd been waiting and that I was leaving. He was very defensive and said it wasn't his fault. Really? Whose fault was it? I told him that someone should have let me know that he was running so far behind. Not cool Derek. Obviously I won't be going back.

He was professional. Did a stellar job. Carried on a great conversation over multiple topics. It wasn't long before we were laughing with each other like we were college buddies. His suggestions and attention to detailed were on point. Everyone else in the other chairs seemed to be having a pleasant experience too. The hair cut and beard trim was easily the best I ever received. If you're looking for a place to get a cut and shave from a clean, friendly place with competent barbers who know what they're doing then look no further than American Shave. And if you really want a great experience, ask for Maverick. Don't know why he had negative comments - I guess everyone is entitled to have one of those days. I am so happy with my hair. Scott's pre cut consultations are amazing. He listens and has never made me feel like I am taking too much time etc. I love watching him work....... He takes his time and a beautiful precision cut is truly what you end up with. I can wake up, brush my hair and viola, it looks great. His environment is quiet and he gives you his full attention. Lastly, he doesn't sell product. I had been to a couple of salons in the area and the pressure to buy product was, for me, very unpleasant and uncomfortable. I ask for his suggestions.
