[[HIGHLIGHT]]I am extremely disappointed with the experience my son and I had at this salon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My son is autistic, and I specifically showed the stylist a reference photo before the haircut began.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Throughout the appointment, the stylist repeatedly asked me questions about how to do the cut, which immediately made me uncomfortable and unsure about her experience with textured/ethnic hair. Unfortunately, the haircut turned out very poorly. Rather than embarrassing the stylist in front of others, I respectfully paid, left, and later took my son to a Black barber who corrected the haircut and gave him the clean, professional look we originally requested.Afterward, I contacted the salon simply requesting a refund for the unsatisfactory service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager insisted that I drive all the way back so they could "assess" and attempt to fix the haircut themselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That was unacceptable to me. Hair does not magically grow back overnight, and after the first experience, I had absolutely no confidence in allowing the same salon to touch my son's hair again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As a parent of an autistic child, I also found this request insensitive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My son had already gone through the stress and discomfort of the first appointment. Putting him through another uncomfortable experience for a mistake the salon made felt unfair and inconsiderate. What should have been a simple refund request turned into an unnecessarily difficult and confrontational conversation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager came across as dismissive, aggressive, and far more concerned about holding onto $22 than providing good customer service or accountability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her communication and management skills were extremely unprofessional.Additionally, during the appointment, another employee stood nearby staring at my son in a way that made both of us uncomfortable while I was trying to get him settled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The overall environment lacked professionalism, compassion, and respect. I initially chose not to leave a negative review because I wanted to handle the matter privately and respectfully. However, after the way this situation was handled, I feel obligated to share my experience so other parents especially parents of children with special needs and families looking for stylists experienced with ethnic hair can make informed decisions.[[HIGHLIGHT]]This situation could have been resolved easily with professionalism, empathy, and accountability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead, it became an unnecessarily stressful experience. read more

Came in for a balayage color service by Karen I believe not 100% sure on the name last week. I was also over charged for no reason. She only put beach on my roots and I showed her my inspiration pic. I wanted Latto blonde. My hair was already honey blonde.. she made it purple but using the formula bc she said it was easier on her... a professional should know not every formula works for everyone but I digress. She put it all over like it was a single color on my head. Wasn't handpainted or anything. I left with my hair wet bc I wanted no extra damage on my hair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the next day bc I didn't realize my hair was purple till it was fully dried. I was pissed. They said they would fix it and to have me come in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another fixed it with a bleaching ,root melt, and another person blowdried and "straightened " my hair. It wasn't straight at all. But I'm a naturally super curly girl. My hair is literally so fried off on top of my hair being completely straight. Mind you I just had my hair trimmed not long before this. I've had my hair bleached plenty of times but it's never been this damaged. My hair is barely curly at the root. Don't waste your money here especially if you're a curly headed girl. read more

I was feeling pretty tatterdemalion. It was high time for me to shape the caterpillars and get a freshly styled haircut. One can easily book an appointment online or call. I chose to call and utilize a specific hair stylist I had previously. This particular stylist does a tremendous job! So far she has been very consistent with her customer service. She is friendly, respectful, very efficient and does a superlative job of giving layers in my hair and waxing my eyebrows. It only took her 30 minutes total to wash my hair, wax my eyebrows and style my hair with layers and do a blow out. I am extremely pleased with how my hair and eye brows turned out. I feel like a new person and human again! I did show her a picture of how I wanted her to texture my layers. Having a visual reference is always a great thing to have if you want to ensure the haircut you desire. She repeated to me the length I wanted to cut off for confirmation. Communication was great and her ensuring that she had my complete blessing at all times through out the process and with the outcome of my haircut was of the utmost importance to her. The facility appeared clean and staff wore masks as well as myself and other clients currently in the hair salon, with the exception of one unmasked client. I noticed my stylist had her COVID 19 certification training card in public view, which provides an added sense of comfort knowing that delivering safe service is of great importance to her and others. All the stylists that day deserve accolades for cultivating such a reposeful & welcoming atmosphere. Their cordialness with their respective clients were exhibited through the cheerful laughter, exchange of pleasantries and clients' dialogue of admiration for their new haircuts were felt and carried throughout the salon. I am super happy that I have found consistency and a stylist with such performance, skill and efficacy! read more

My wife has gone here 3 separate times over the last year and a half and gotten 3 separate bad experiences. Her hair grows very slowly, so it's critical that her trims take off only what's absolutely necessary. These women always cut way too much off, setting back years of growth. And they don't even trim her layers, so now it's shorter and still with dead ends. They also overcharge/underserve. She'll pay for full highlights and/or a full trim + shampoo/condition, but only receive partial highlights or a basic trim. If it was just one stylist doing this, maybe that one individual just sucks. But after trying 3 separate people, it's clear the hiring/training practices here are fundamentally flawed and broken. We will never be returning, and insist you take your business elsewhere. read more

She cut my daughter's hair several months ago & we were amazed at how perfect the layers were. We went somewhere else and were not happy. Had to come back to Cherie to get it done right! Took my son to be 4 year old here for a haircut. There was absolutely no wait even though it was busy in the salon. I did not catch the name of the stylist who cut my sons hair but I was not impressed. She questioned the cut I wanted for him and still did her own thing. Meh. I asked for the style express three times. I was really interested in trying their Redken Chemistry Treatment. I ended up with a shampoo and cut. Either they don't know their packages, or they were trying to rush me along. I hate going into the cold with wet hair. By the time I turned around to ask for the blow dry, she had my coat and was trying to send me on my way. There wasn't even anyone waiting. I was already tired from work, so I didn't even feel like making a fuss. I guess I will try some place else next time.The cut was ok. I've had better, but it wasn't bad. Clean and well-maintained facility. Wait time was about 15 minutes but the staff did address me and was courteous. Prices were reasonable and commensurate with the service. Today I went in just to get a trim I wasn't 100% sure about getting my hair done here but I went ahead and did it.. I said I ONLY wanted a trim at most 2 inches off.. she showed me where my hair would end up and I was fine with where she said. She begins by taking my hair and cutting about 6 inches off I was in shock but since she cut such a big spot there was no going back.. she cut 6 inches off of my hair when I only wanted 2 at the most.. I was in such shock I couldn't believe it.. after telling her it was so short(at my shoulders) when it was wet.. she didn't even seem to care. I have curly hair so when it drys it shrinks. Now it's above my shoulders when it use to be down half of my back.. I'm so disappointed and wish I never went in to get my hair cut.. after leaving I was in tears because of how short and how the stylist who should of done what I asked had just cut almost 1/2 of my hair off.. that was the worst haircut I've ever had.. she never once said sorry about it. read more
