Amazing stylist who go above and beyond clean salon, very skilled stylist, price point for everyone

Service was refused. My wife and I arrived at approximately 7:10 PM on a Friday, well before their posted 8:00 PM closing time. Their sign clearly states that walk-ins are welcome, yet we were turned away and told they were fully booked for the night. There were no visible lines or signs of heavy business in the store, which made the experience even more frustrating. It honestly felt like they just wanted to close the shop and were not willing to stay a little later to serve customers, even though they are in the service industry. If walk-ins are not actually accepted, the signage should reflect that. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. I would insist to take the business someplace else. read more

Witnessed an uncomfortable situation with a stylist (Julie) this morning. Not entirely sure what was going on but the stylist (Julie) came in and handed a piece of paper to my stylist (Mina) and said "give this to your friend". The stylist (Julie) was in a mood for sure and picked up her stuff and left in a hurry While on her way out, said" I'm out and congratulations". My stylist (Mina) was shocked and the fact that this was done in front of me (customer) was not good. I feel bad that my stylist (Mina) had to deal with the hostile attitude and extremely unprofessional behavior. I have been a customer for many years and Mina has been my stylist for all of those years. She has always been professional and kind and attentive to what I want done. Unfortunately, today's incident was not the first time that the stylist (Julie) showed her mood. I just hope that wherever she goes, she's happier than obviously she was at this shop. Mina couldn't have been any more professional with what just happened. read more

I have been a faithful client of this brand salon for years and years. My hair cut is extremely simple. Straight across, no layers and no bangs. I have been charged 60 dollars for the last few times that I have been . I always leave a 15 dollar tip, so the total for me is 75 dollars. This last time, the hair professional said because I have a very slight wave in my hair, the charge would be going forward 80 dollars. I find this excessive and absurd that I would randomly be charged 20 dollars more for such a simple cut. They just lost a very faithful client, I won't be coming back. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the convenience of the salon. But I do not tolerate being ripped off. Beware of this salon. read more

No call, no text, no notification asking if I would like to select another day to see my stylist. Nope, just bait and switch. Every part of this experience was pretty bad. I tried to make an appt online, but their system didn't work so I called. I made the appt by calling in but when I got there they had scheduled a kids cut (I don't even have kids). I told her I'd scheduled a shampoo cut and blow dry. While shampooing she told me it was going to be 28$ which was fine. I didn't know the prices so that seemed cheap. She spent the whole shampoo peddling product which I guess is somewhat normal. I knew the cut was going to be terrible while she was doing it. She just grabbed largish sections and cut at an angle. The whole thing including blow dry probably took her 25 minutes. Once she dried my hair it was very very uneven, but I didn't trust her to fix it so I said it was fine and went to pay. At the register I repeated "You said it was 28?" And she said, well since you got a blow dry it's more. It came out to 41. I don't understand the discrepancy because I was up front about the blow dry before she told me the 28$ price but I paid it and tipped her anyway. Photo attached to show just how abysmal the cut is. I'll never take a chance like that again and I probably should have known better. The products are also over priced. You can get all their brands online or even in a Grocery store fore less. They're just the normal mid line brands like redkin or biolage. read more

She proceeded to go on the computer and tell me that she saw 2 instances where I either left the appointment, because the stylist was unsure how to color my hair and another instance from years ago where I had my hair colored too dark and was unsatisfied. This was totally inappropriate. I was only there to get a haircut, not color. read more

This is my last time coming here the first time ended with my daughter in my car crying for a half an hour if the stylist hadn't started my color I would have left then today after waiting my stylist gets around to me and tells me it costs $35 to pull the dye that's already in my hair through my hair at the end it said $74 on their website and I got quoted $132 for a color I went to the store and bought some dye and my daughter did it for free I guess I should thank them for saving me money read more

If I could rate their experience lower than 1 star I would. I scheduled my teenage daughters for a cut (a trim on the ends and a bang trim). They arrived for their appointment on time and were each serviced by different professionals, Nicole E and Danielle S. I cannot express my disappointment enough of the shameful cuts that BOTH of my girls received. These two "professionals" ought to be ashamed of themselves. Both girls were left with uneven hair and butchered bangs. Not only that but they paid and tipped these ladies 20% (almost $100 total) for their services because they were too horrified to do anything other than leave ASAP. Both were in tears as soon as they left the establishment. I have already provided feedback of their experience to Hair Cuttery directly. I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere. read more

I've now had my fourth and last bad experience at this salon. My stylist got a 15-minutes late start, then disappeared for long stretches during my visit, carrying on a lengthy conversation while I sat with cold, dripping hair. Predictably, her sloppiness and inattention resulted in a poor result. She was argumentative and discourteous when I brought it to her attention. This place is ineffective, unpleasant and disrespectful of customers' time. It has fully earned its poor ratings. I won't be back. read more

Despite the sign they have in big letters out front that "walk in appointments welcome" they apparently no longer take walk ins and I'd have to make an appointment to be seen. If that policy no longer applies then why do you still have the sign?! She was very rude and talked to me like i was an idiot. !!! Please go somewhere else !!! It will be worth paying $50 extra elsewhere. I came in at 10 am for a full treatment ( light brown color, full highlights, haircut and blow-dry)... After they colored my hair the first time it was even darker than when I walked in. They decided to " bleach it". My skin got a really bad reaction to it that I had to take Benadryl for 2 days and I even had wounds on my forehead. After bleaching they decided to put primer over it, but unfortunately my hair was still enormously brassy blonde... They "cut" it and told me to come back to finish the next day since I hád to leave (I sat there for 4 hours)... Once I got in the car I noticed white products that were still there and my hair was not cut at áll... I went back the day after to get my money back. Had my mother bring my son in for a much needed last minute haircut. I had a picture of what I felt was a fairly easy style (our usual barber has NO issue cutting my son's hair this way). The end result was a very poor attempt, it looked like a botched home hair cut. It wasn't until he got home that I noticed that there are patches of hair that weren't even cut, especially around the neck line. We had professional pictures that evening and his hair looks ridiculous. Never coming here again and do not recommend this place at all. read more

I was here about a month ago now and I'm pretty sure I got Michelle to cut my hair. I just went in for a trim. I told her I was growing my bangs out. I'm not sure what happened, it may have been the fact that she was distracted that her husband and son were there but I literally have chunks in my hair that are about 4 inches long. I have no idea how she messed up so bad. Thankfully they were nice about refunding me but it was obvious this girl had no idea how to do hair!!! Nope, never again, not this one. I never write bad reviews because I'm someone who usually just leaves things be and doesn't like confrontation. But i can't with this. First of all, i went in there asking for someone who cuts short hair well so they gave me a specific stylist and i also wanted my eyebrows waxed. The stylist was nice but i had a problem with how she did. (It was the day before back to school so it was a madhouse in there so i was fine with the wait). so she sits me down and i get the most rushed, uneven, choppy job of a haircut and then she sits me down for my eyebrows. I just wanted them cleaned up and she literally took off half my eyebrow, right before she got wax in my hair. Earlier in the appointment i mentioned that i usually go home and take a shower after i get a hair cut anyways. But after she got that in my hair she barely cleaned it off and said "well you usually go home and wash your hair anyways right?" like wtf that doesn't mean i want to walk around with wax in my hair for the next 2 hours?? Not to mention when she was waxing them she got the wax from my hair stuck on the strip with resulted in a really hard hair pulling whigh hurt A LOT. And then when a different girl was at the front checking me out so i could pay, she asked if i got my eyebrows waxed and then laughed at me. Fucking rude. Gaby always cuts my hair at the Warrenton location. She really knows her hair, and does an amazing job. She even massages my head when she's shampooing my hair to stimulate my scalp, whatever it's doing, it feels amazing. Mina always cuts my husband's hair because she does a great job for him.
