Went twice to this barbershop. First cut was ok she left it a little long. Second haircut was the worst hair cut I've ever had. Way too short and shaved off sideburns. There's a line between the top of my head where the hair is a little bit longer and the bottom where she shaved so it's like stubble. Very meticulous, walk in base company so I was alittle weary at first...but I got my cut done by lee and she never rushes and takes her time. I'm pretty particular with fades because my head shape is not typical and have always had trouble with finding barbers who can cut it the way I like and she takes her time, will cut what she thinks you are describing and stop to ask if this is what you like which is what I appreciate. $15 cut, very reasonable and won't spend too much time there unless you get there when they're very busy. I came away mostly unimpressed. I wanted to try a new barber shop to see if there's somewhere out there I might like better than my current place (which has been good for years, but they don't seem to be able to follow directions lately). I can't say this place is any better. It might even be a little worse. On the positive side, it's a lot cheaper than most barber shops in the area, but I guess you get what you pay for. I requested a high-and-tight, which is still way too long on top despite me asking the lady to shorten it a second time. And, the fade starts a little higher on one side than on the other. I don't agree with the others. The Gentlemen's Barber Shop is not great. The quality is no better than the discount shops in the area and the skill of the hair cutters is home grown and self-taught. There's nothing exceptional that would cause me to go back there. At $17 for a basic cut, they are not even a good value. They keep raising their prices and not offering any better service. Got my first haircut here the other day. I received a high caliber haircut with minimal small talk (which is my preference!). The haircut only cost 17 dollars and was a quick in and out. I received a great haircut and will be back again! All hair stylists were wearing masks which also made me feel a bit extra safe. So I read the reviews and decided to take a chance with this place because I've found some really nice mom and pop shops in the past that do a great job. This is not one of those places. I wanted a basic medium fade. Something that's Barber 101. What I got was the worst haircut of my life. There's no blending and no fade. It's so bad that I'm too embarrassed to post a picture. I wouldn't come back to get another cut even if it was free. The people seem very nice, but they have no business running a barber shop. On the upside, hair grows back, but when mine does, I will not be returning to Gentlemen's Barber. read more

This place is always busy in an otherwise dead mall. I and my son both go to Kristen. I had her help me change my hairstyle to be more up to date and not be a frumpy old guy. It's ridiculously cheap compared to a salon I used to go to. Always consistent quality. Uses blade to clean up neckline which is cool. Always busy so if you find someone you like you need to make appointment. Drop-ins most always have someone ready. I have been coming here for about 6 months now and each time I leave feeling satisfied with my cut. Mrs. Lee, the owner, and Kristen are the only 2 female barbers who have cut my hair so far and both are very meticulous. They take their time and never rush, whether or not they have other customers waiting. They will stop every so often throughout the haircut and ask how I want certain portions to be cut. I value this a lot at Gentlemen's Barber. At other barber shops I have been to, they fail to cut the way I specify and don't pay much attention to detail. My hairstyle is fairly simple, I usually get a mid skin fade, blend in to the top, and keep the top fairly long to sweep over. Kristen and Mrs. Lee are both excellent at fading. I feel that fading is a skill that is hard to master since I have been to my fair share of barbers who do a poor job at fading correctly. Price is very reasonable, mens haircut is 14$. Not only do they cut my hair to my preference, but I also get razor edge up, hot towel, and a mini head/neck massage at the end. It's hard to top that! All the stylist are friendly, they will always greet you with a smile. If you are looking for a straight razor shave, they also provide this service. I might actually trying this out one day. Her staff are equally great. Everyone is well qualified and you will leave with a fantastic haircut. Their straight razor shave is also great. I was going to Roosters of Ashburn for my cuts etc at about $35 a pop +tip - that was fine because I liked my cutter and the cut. But then over the next 24 months I had cutter after cutter leave Roosters. (Amber/Melissa/Zach) Now I don't know about you, but I hate finding a new cutter that I like... so after Zach left I decided to "cut bait" with Roosters. My search for a new place to go took me to YELP, as it often does. Well, I found the Stellar reviews of the Ashburn Gentleman's Barber (AGB) to good to pass up. I called to setup an appt with Lee and that was that. This place and Lee are terrific. Very sweet & pleasant, Lee is a skilled Master Barber. Mane the best I've ever had. So he reached into his pocket and gave her a cash tip. She scoffed at the amount and said, "That's it for the both of us?" Very rude and bad business practice to solicit tips.
