For the area, this is a good find for black hair care. Coming from southern California, it is easy to find place like this, but I have had difficulty finding a place for my hair since moving here. I have heard there is more selection in south Seattle, but I live north so this place is perfect for me since its close to home. In the summer I go natural, but in the Seattle fall and winter, a protective style is a must for ya girls sanity. I came in today looking for a lace-front wig. The store is a decent size and most of the wigs are to the right towards the back. While cruising the aisles, I grew disappointed because I noticed that the wigs displayed were not attractive and looked pretty old skool (no lace-fonts). I wasn't feeling anything I saw. I was about to leave when I saw at the front of the store were more wigs and they had what I wanted. I saw about 3 that I was interested in. How it works here is the better wigs are placed high near the ceiling. The owner was very attentive and took down the wig I asked for. I also picked up a couple of bonnets and saw that this store has pretty much, everything I needed. I did a lil happy dance because I knew I would be back. I plan on supporting this store. I like it. This place is the best! Between all the beauty supply stores in the north this one beats them all. It has a variety of synthetic and authentic hair. They have plenty of hair tools and products. Their accessories are my favorite and I'm always able to get everything I need and more. They also have a really big selection of beautify products including eyelashes. I love wearing false lashes and this place sells the best ones! I like the style "September" I would highly recommend this shop for all your hair needs!! A good friend had recommended the place to me and said to ask for Alexis. Location of this place is super convenient for us coming from the east side--just off Lake City way. It is also a one-stop shop for all your hair needs as it is both a shop and salon. Cash only at the salon but there are banks and Safeway within walking distance. Alexis was lovely. It's very difficult to find black own business in downtown Seattle let alone the Northside with the type of hair products not regularly sold in stores such as Wlagreens, Rite Aid or CVS and I find it very hard to believe that we can't provide to the masses. I lived here now for 9 years and it was a struggle. I would have to buy online and have it shipped from the east coast and it was a mess. I used to complain to my friend so much and one day he told me about Unlimited Beauty Supply says she's a customer of his in another capacity and assured me I would not be disappointed that she carry the stuff I needed for my hair and is pretty sure the specifics one too and he was correct. The owner is very warm and friendly her products are reasonable priced and good quality. The best part is I no longer have to drive miles to Rainier beach to get my products. Unlimited Beauty is closer, lots of choices, new products to choose from and most of all I get good service. I feel like I'm home when I come here. It's centurally located off the highway so I can get here after work or the weekends when I off. Buyer Beware! I bought a package of hair extensions and rollers. Two days later I tried to return the UNOPENED UNUSED items. I was told No Returns, only exchanges. This policy was Not on my receipt. There was no sign at checkout. The clerk did not say anything at checkout. I called the manager and got no help. If this is their policy they need to make it very clear to customers. There was nothing there I wanted. I am out $70. Their prices are high. I will never shop there again. read more

I was looking for a reddish-toned wig to complete my "Ginger" outfit (as in the Gilligan's Island character Ginger-the-Movie-Star) for the upcoming Mardi Gras. 7 friends are going as the Krewe of Castaways, but that's another story... WARNING!!!! DO NOT LET NESHA DO YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If i could give no stars I would! I was really confused about the ONE review here on yelp, but then I noticed that the profile name is actually Nesha's!! That's her email address on her business card! that explains the review!! ha ha what a joke! First time getting extensions which were put in by Nesha on the evening of December 30th. one track started coming out on the 1st by the evening of the 3rd each track of extensions was literally hanging off one half of my head!! I had no choice but to remove them the next morning which was a Sunday. I started texting her asking for her to make it right. 1st I'm pretty sure that getting a refund would be the LEAST that she could do seeing as how the extensions were on my head for LESS than a week, she told me they would last for at least 3 weeks and all i needed to do at that point was come in and tighten them, i didn't even make it past the weekend. 2nd I was out when each track started coming out, if that is not embarrassing, i have NO IDEA what is!!! Granted I was upset when i initially sent her a text, but I was actually going really easy on her, meaning, no insults. I was being pretty polite. I even told her that i would get back to her because I was so upset. I continued to text her the next day in order to get this resolved. She actually had the audacity to have me try to work out a date and time that would work for HER because she was unwilling to rearrange her schedule to make it right, let alone give me any sort of refund. She was fully aware that I work monday through Friday 8-5, but the best time she could come up with was Monday at NOON!!!! WHAT?!?!? I have continued, up until today, to try contacting her to set up a time for her to try to make her HUGE mistake, right. Do you know she hasn't responded to my texts since January 9th?!!?!?!?! I really like this store and love the outcome of my hair both times that I've come here. Nesha has done an exceptional job on my crochet braids each time. She offered me various hair options and after care maintenance advice as this was my first time getting braids. For each of my appointments she was always ready to start on my hair at my appointment time and I haven't spent more than two hours for my complete braiding process. Overall, I'm very happy to find a local braiding shop that has a wide variety of products onsite and doesn't take all day to complete. I spotted this place after making a Subway run and decided to check it out. It's a family owned beauty and salon shop. The salon itself feels clean and modern, yet cozy and lovely. I love this store and always buy my hair care products here. They have so many color hair things, I love it. Convenient located in Northgate/Lake city area. Every time I come here, I'm always immediately greeted. The ladies who work are always nice and knowledgeable and if I have a question, they are always happy to help and provide me with information. They have great selection of hair care products they also have a wide range of beautiful hair clips, human hair, hair extension, and wigs. I always find what I need in this store; and if they don't have it, ask them to order it, which they will gladly do. For example, I use special wigs for special occasion and most beauty supply stores do not carry. The lady asks me what kind of wigs I would like and she started ordering it for me when I told her what it was. In fact, she ordered it for me a couple times. The other day when I went in to order a new wig for the spring, the gentleman at the counter took my order and told me that it would be in next week. I said sure! What I expected and I was satisfied with that. But when I got home the phone was ringing and when I answered it, it was the lady I just ordered my wig from. She said your order is ready for pick up. When I came back to the store to pick up my order; I was very impressed...wow. Excellent customer services...
