Instead someone else who is not experienced with children stepped in and now he has an uneven haircut.... Thank you for Felicity who tried but this just reinforces why I don't go to the Root Cellar.... The owner has too much attitude and is never wrong. I have lived in Bethel for over 20 years and have tried the root cellar on various occasions and have never had a good experience. This just reinforces why I should stop trying..... then again having an opening on a Saturday when booking on a Friday should have been my first clue..... I wish I could leave zero stars.

She did what she wanted to do and does not care about her customers...or me at least. I tried to tell her how I wanted my hair cut (been getting it cut this way for over 20 years), no blunt cutting and to have it all chipped into and she just did what she wanted to do, insisting there are many ways to perform the technique. She got so upset, that I was questioning her techniques, that she sternly said to me..."YOU AREN'T A HAIR STYLIST" and then told me, "SHE WAS FINISHED" and then told me to leave her salon. Better Business Bureau here I come...I would not send my dog there for a trim. She thinks that just because she has been cutting hair for 34 years that she knows what is best for her customer. What a joke...it is called tangles for a reason...you leave there in tangles.

The wait time is fairly accurate on the app. Staff is very friendly, inter decor is pretty minimal, but enough to recognize it as a salon when you walk in. They appear to have enough seats for 8-10 people, but they do not seem to have enough stylists to fill all seats, hence the wait list. My Step-son's hair was very well done, took a an acceptable time. Only thing I would ding them on is not enough seating for the volume they get, but I also chalk them up to being good they are busy enough to need more seating. I would use this place in the future for the convince of getting on the wait list while we are traveling to the Auburn area and not having to start the clock once you arrive.
