A friendly place that's pretty good about appointment times (within 10 minutes). At the end of your haircut, you get a warm towel wipe and quick head/neck massage. However, the haircut itself is not the best. My husband's fade ($30 w/o tip) was not symmetric or even. This place might be better for non-fade haircuts. read more

I've tried this place 4 times. Every visit there's been two barbers, a guy and a lady (Angel?). First time no appointment, I was driving by and dropped in. It was a weekday around noon and the wait time was 10-15 min. The guy was working alone and cut my hair. I went back a second time and had the same barber. On a separate occasion I called to see if they were open and the lady asked me to schedule an appointment. Luckily she had availability later the same day. My last visit I decided to go with the lady again. Overall, the place is ok. If you are short on time, desperate and in the area, go for it. If you have time and prefer a skilled barber, skip this place. The guy takes his time but is not as skilled as needed (newer maybe?). Interestingly he did a better cut when the lady was there. The lady takes her time and wants you to feel comfortable, unfortunately, her barber skills are in need of practice and improvement. The service is so bad it took about two hours so I can get my haircut. They barely even cut. If there messing up a little bit and you tell them if you're with the guy he's gonna start cutting your hair aggressively but if you're with a lady she's very patient. The quality of the haircut was good, the shop was clean, and she was careful to ask about my preference for the cut as I was a new customer. The included hot towel and face and shoulder massage is probably something I wouldn't have again but a nice extra if it's your preference. The thinning shears felt like they pulled out a lot my hair by the roots; my other barbers have not typically used them so don't know if that's a maintenance issue or something inherent in thinning shears. You cannot get a better hair cut for the price. $18 for a mens cut can't be beat. There are two women that cut here, and they both do a great job. Most people that go in, only ask for one of them. But you'll be happy with either. I've been going there for almost 3 years, and have no desire to go anywhere else. They take walk-ins, but will see people in the order they get there. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but I've never waited longer than 30 mins. read more

I came here because Men Haircuts by Lilian in RWC is closed on Mondays, and figured I'd be fine going somewhere else on the way home, and I will never, ever, ever make that mistake again. I'm not sure who I got cutting my hair, so I can't judge on that. I had a terrible haircut. The lady was very nice, but EXTREMELY quick. There was one huge, glaring, screaming issue: Nothing was clean!!!!!! There was hair on the counter, hair on the floor. All the clippers had hair in them from previous people. The clipper extensions had hair. She would occasionally brush them with a brush on the side, which also probably had hair in it. I did not see any type of disinfectant or barbicide for the combs, scissors were in a hidden cabinet, oh man. I was screaming inside my head the entire time, but when someone is cutting my hair I don't dare startle them. The haircut itself was also horrific. The sides that were clipped were fine. The top... oh my god. I have a simple men's haircut, and she took scissors and texturizers furiously to the top for about 2 minutes. The result was the most uneven, sporadically short-long-short "cut" I've ever had in my life. the back was short, except the left side, which was long. she didn't even touch the front, which left it twice as long. there were stray long hairs everywhere. I felt like a child had taken scissors to my hair and just went at it with reckless abandon. Being the passive person I am, when she finished I quickly said "It's fine", got out of my chair, paid and got the hell out of there. I went home and spent the next 30 minutes with scissors and my electric shaver repairing the damage. You could not drag me back here for anything short of an impending nuclear war. read more

Made the mistake of assuming that Phuong was cutting my hair, but I ended up with Mary. The cut felt rushed and it is demonstrably sloppy. She removed very little hair the first time through, so I asked her to take off some more. I could see that it was not a good, tidy job, but her approach was getting on my nerves. I work IMMEDIATELY next to a Supercuts, and I've tried 2 or 3 of the cutters there, but really haven't been impressed. Decided to try something new. Aside from the sketchy crowd loitering in the parking lot, a good experience. Cheaper than Supercuts and nice to support a 2 person operation. For fifteen bucks, a good cut with no wait. Just moved to town and was looking for a new hair stylist. This was my first time in and decided to give it a shot based upon the positive reviews I had seen online. Let me say Phuong who is also the owner did an awesome job! I will definitely be coming back! She has great attention to detail and would even check with me periodically to make sure she was cutting my hair how I wanted it.
