I made an appointment for May 12th at 3:30 p.m I was running late so I called to inform Juanita that i was 15-20 minutes behind. She informed me that the crochet style I was getting done would take some time, as I told her I was coming and sorry for the inconvenience, she said "no problem." When I showed up 15 minutes late as informed, and actually sat in her chair , WITH her hands in my hair, Juanita begins telling me "30 minutes makes a difference when getting your hair done, which is true." Although I was in her chair at 3:50 which is a 20 minute difference like I called and informed her in advance. Juanita had every opportunity to tell me that it was too late when I was over the phone but she did Not, instead she insisted that I come. She also has typed that she "extends her weekday hours just for you" and that's clearly not true. I find it very unprofessional of a stylist to complain about the time I showed up when I called in Advance to say I was running late. Her words exactly to me were "WELL, I'm leaving at 6 pm" mind you, that was at 3:50 p.m Not to mention, I made my appointment on May 12 th and I specifically said when I was making my appointment that I was totally available for any hour on May 13 to come in, but I was told that "May 12 was completely fine." My hair was done and I was out of her chair at 5:45 p.m and never received a single apology for any of the rude commentary. The first time I got my hair done (April 15,2021) it was $150 equaling a total of $151.37 Yesterday (May 12, 2021) my hair was $150 and I was charged $156 even!!! Was this a mistake or was this just terrible service at its finest?

Although, I wish this place was Black-owned, the employees working here (two amazing Black women) helped me feel comfortable and at ease. The young lady assisting on the sales floor was amazing! I didn't catch her name, but she definitely had the expertise that I needed. I went in for hair fit goddess locs And had no idea where to start. She walked me through everything, made recommendations, and even recommended a few things that I needed and hadn't even thought about. Between her and the girl at the front, I definitely felt very well taken care of. I would highly recommend solely because of these two individuals. And Based on how the young lady on the sales floor was speaking, I'm pretty sure she does hair, too, which makes me feel even better about her recommendations.

I also usually don't like my hair being blow dry because it's too puffy but she did it really well I actually loved it. COVID-19 - yes I had a salon appointment during the pandemic. I needed a cut (hadn't cut in two years) and also wanted to support a business during these times. The salon took great precautions. There was only two other people inside besides me and the hair stylist. They had hand sanitizer at the front desk and they also sell masks. But you need to be wearing a mask to enter. The stylist was the only staff member there which is super safe and she was wearing a mask too.
