I have been going to Hairjes now for ten years on a regular basis. I always leave the salon feeling a million dollars. It is a friendly, professional service. It is always a pleasure to go there. They have seen me through my earlier dark hair days, to highlights as the grey creeps in, right through to my now almost whole head of grey. I have always been given good advice as to what I should do with my hair and when in England, I would never go anywhere else. Given the area the shop is in, the prices are reasonable and well worth every penny. read more

I have no idea where the previous review has come from - but it's certainly not reflective of my experience. Erkan and the team literally saved my hair after I foolishly got it done elsewhere when I was visiting family outside of london. At the other salon outside of london I had asked for a full head of blonde highlights - as mine had grown out. I came out with brown and light yellow stripy hair - and because I was unhappy with this the same salon then bleached my hair (frazzling it) and put a semi permanent dye over the top. This ended up all one colour - bright yellow, not the natural highlights I wanted. I returned to london on the Saturday and visited Erkan at Hairjes straight away - asking if there was anything he could do as I was due to start a new job on the Monday. Erkan was amazing. He actually came in on his day off (Sunday) to fix it for me, and kept in contact via text to reassure me my hair wasn't going to break after so many treatments (as I was worried). I'm not a hair colourist but it was obvious this was a real challenge - because the hair had been so overprocessed but the previous salon. But he worked his magic, as did Sofia, both very creatively and definitely something only true colour correction experts could have done. My hair turned out beautifully. I'm also sure he didn't charge me as much as he should have done (probably out of pity for me!). I'll never go to another salon again! Thank you so much Erkan and the team, I am so grateful. AWFUL!! I went to Hairjes for the first (AND CERTAINLY THE LAST!!) time at the weekend. I booked in an appointment with Christine on a Friday for when I finished work at 17.30pm. I showed Christine a photo of what I wanted - creamy blonde highlights with natural looking roots. Christine was extremely confident that she knew what she was doing and told me to 'trust her'. After 2 and a half hours my foils were rinsed out but I was shocked to see my reflection in the mirror as my hair was much darker it was when I arrived at the salon. I was so confused and frustrated and I showed Christine the photo I brought in and asked her if the colour in anyway similar - she replied no and took full responsibility saying it was her mistake. She pleaded me to come back the next day so she could fix it. I had no choice as my hair was a total state. To cut a long story short, the owner Erkan was there the next day and he took over so both he and Christine did my hair and absolutely destroyed it even further. By the time I left they had bleached my hair with foils 3 separate times as they continued to get it wrong and by the time I left my hair was shades of yellow and orange and resembled hard straw on my head. The worse part is they charged me over £180 for their mistakes!! I had to go to an expensive and reputable salon for colour correction on Sunday spending even more money because of the awful service and treatment I received at Hairjes. I have been in touch with the owner several times to express how upset I am by my experience and asked for a refund but he has not returned any of my calls but he has responded to my emails but is denying everything that happened and saying that there were no mistakes made with my hair!!! To say I am upset and appalled by this experience is an understatement. Do NOT go to Hairjes if you value your hair, money, customer service, and good quality hairdressing - they are cowboys. read more
