Been going here for two and a half years usually 3 times per year. I'm going to look for a new place now. Two stars because there is one lady that is great there and two more that aren't bad. I always call and get an appointment and I'm rarely seen before 15 minutes after scheduled appointment. I bring in a photo of me in my very basic style that I have had the last several years. Mid neck length trim, use of texture scissors on the ends. Nothing trendy, nothing with layers, super basic and easy that is nothing special at all. Confirmed with stylist three times, showed photo twice, had to ask twice for it to be cut shorter... Then I just said "fine" just wanting to leave. It was awkward. Looking closer at home, she only did slight texture in the front but in the back is a straight, blunt cut line - WTF, who does that??? It looks horrible. And there are multiple small sections that are an inch longer than those around it. I have to go in and fix it myself now. And then she charged me $12 more than what I've normally been charged in the last couple years. She did not style my hair or put in any finishing product, so why the extra charge? She didn't do anything more than what I always get. I usually tip a little over 25% in cash, this time was bare minimum. Great big NOPE. That's what finally did it, I'm done with this place. I came here after having a completely HORRIBLE hair cut done yesterday. I needed someone to salvage it, but needed to be able to have an affordable second job. I saw Melissa (I believe she goes by Missy?) and she was FANTASTIC. She agreed with me about what was wrong with my first hair cut, explained what she could do in order to fix it, showed me what certain techniques she was using/what they should look like when done right, and also explain what terms I should have used to get what i wanted. She was able to take a terrible haircut and make it a cute style, which I was forever grateful for! I will be coming back to see her again. read more

I have been going to this Hairmasters for awhile. I was seeing Amanda and she moved away! She was great. Then I started seeing Deavon and she was very talkative but seemed nice. I went to her like 3 times and she did a pretty good job one time where I liked it a lot. Then this last time I went in she cut a half inch off my hair which I didn't ask for a haircut and then she charged me $22 dollars for a cut and wash, I asked for all over highlights and she charged me for all over color and then also for highlights. Then she also charged me for toner, which I have NEVER been charged for. When I was checking out she asked if I wanted the receipt, I said yes please. A few days later I was wondering why my bill was so much so I pulled out the receipt and discovered that I was overcharged. The last time I got it done it seemed high but I didn't get a receipt so I thought this person would never charge me for services I didn't ask for but she did. Another thing that irritated me was you can't even see my highlights it's all just blended. So I paid this extra money for highlights I didn't get! So I message Deavon and she tells me she will refund me for haircut and toner, I told her I couldn't see my highlights either. Then she told me her schedule was booked all week and that she couldn't get me in. I asked if there was a solution to problem, she said she could have her manager get me corporates phone number. I asked why she didn't have it.... no reply again. So then I called today because Deavon never got back to me. Carla the manager answered the phone and I asked her for Corporates number, she told me she couldn't give me that information!!! That she will have her boss Lana call me!! Wow seriously!! Your company's employee is ripping me off and you don't want to make me happy?!?! So I still haven't got a phone call from Lana. So does anyone know how to reach corporate for this Hair Salon?? All I wanted was to be refunded for services I did not ask for and to get my hair fixed so I can see the highlights. read more

I am 50 years old and can count on 1 hand how many truly bad hair cuts I've received in my life and have a couple fingers left. Now I have 1 less finger on that count. My regular stylist is out ill so I went somewhere else. I couldn't be more sorry that I didn't just wait!!! I paid $30 (including tip, not because Karla earned it, but because it's what you do) for the absolute worst hair cut I've ever had in my life!!! I told her how short I wanted it, with layers, and she took that to mean a "bob" First of all, she cut it DRY. Never shampooed, (I guess Hairmasters does not include a shampoo in the in their hair cuts. That was never expressed to be beforehand, just omitted) no spraying it down. When I questioned this, Karla told me that she had perfected the dry hair cutting technique. I was not going to argue. I do not cut hair. I pay someone who is suppose to know what they are doing, to do that for me. Hair went everywhere. All over her, my pants and shoes and even behind my mask! What was on my clothes transferred to the inside of my car! I had to vacuum!!! Literally 8 minutes after she started, she stated "There. How's that?" She was done. I was truly amazed. It looked like s*** and I told her so. I told her it looked like I had cut it myself and asked if she could do better, expressing again what it was that I wanted. She spent the next 20 minutes UNHAPPY, but "fixing" it and I lost 2 more inches. It's now off of my shoulders. NOT AT ALL WHAT I HAD ASKED FOR!!!! Its abut 3 inches too short for starters!!!! I'm blonde so the chunky, threw in layers are quite visible and only on the bottom 3 inches of my hair and it's still just a "bob." It gets worse. The left side is 3/4 of an inch longer than the right. SHE NEVER CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS EVEN! IT STILL LOOKS LIKE I CUT IT MYSELF!!!! In the end I told her it looked fine and thanked her. Pleasantries was all I could manage. Had I said anything else I would have ended up sobbing angry tears and being generally unpleasant. I'm always harder on myself than anyone else so I took it to my family a couple of friends. I am confident enough in myself that I DO NOT need that kind of validation. Taking it to other people is NOT something I have ever done before. They were all amazed at the look. They were all kind, but generally uncomplimentary. I have to let it grow out before I can PAY SOMEONE ELSE to fix it. I still can't believe I actually paid for it!!! I want my money back, plus the tip, but I'm to chicken to ask for it. I'm not one to go off half cocked, but I'm soooo truly upset by this that I wish I could sue her and I've never wanted to sue anyone before in my entire life! I am very stingy with negative reviews. I do not like them! But this deserves billboard space, in town!!!! Does anyone know who owns this store? I really want to talk to them. read more

Drove all over town for my son to get his haircut just a quick little trim of the sides arrived at 5:45 they Close at 6, two women standing there doing nothing and the one woman said sorry we close here shortly and I said you close in like 15 minutes he just wants a quick trim, then the other woman began to say yeah sorry we don't have time we close here soon we can make an appointment for him tomorrow, meanwhile they clearly just wanted to leave due to the fact the one had her personal belongings at the front desk ready to leave. Most establishments that close at a certain time usually take customers all the way up until that exact closing time. We will not ever be back. The customer service and amount of unwillingness to work was pathetic. read more

My experience was awesome!!!! Missy did my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it. Finally, somebody who understood completely how I want it to look. I don't know how many hair dressers that I have been through over the years. I was greeted warmly the minute I walked in, even though they were both busy with customers. Just sat twenty minutes past my daughter's appointment time with no notice or explanation from the staff. Three different stylists walked in and out the door right next to us and didn't say a word or offer an apology for our wait. It was like we were invisible. When they took back a lady who had come in after us we got fed up enough to walk out. Terrible customer service (or rather, non-existent customer service.) Absolutely thee worst service!! Walked in to no acknowledgement or greeting. Associate was "too busy" clicking stuff on the register. Finally she rudely asks what we want. She gave my nephew the most crooked haircut. I asked her to fix the problem a few times, but there was no saving that botched hair cut. Finally I had to settle for the crappy job she did because he was getting so frustrated. Over all, I would not recommend anyone to go there. Save your time, hair, and money. I received the worst haircut of my life today. I'm 39 years old, so that's a lot of haircuts. The good thing, there was no wait (wonder why), so I was able to just sit down. The entire process took about 20 minutes. I sat down and showed her the picture I wanted my hair to look like. Here is a link: http://bit.ly/2aW9OaD. Before I can even say anything, she pulls out the clippers and starts literally shaving the back of my head. I think she had a 1/2" attachment on it. Down near the bottom, it's closer to 1/8" to 1/4" of an inch. I realize that Hairmasters doesn't wash hair, unless specifically asked, but most stylists spray it with the bottle to get it wet. She spritzed my hair once, then started chopping away at the top of it. When I mean chopping, I mean she was cutting big chunks out with her scissors. As you can see in the picture, this lady's bangs come down onto her face, nice and layered, with that "messy and I don't care" vibe. My bangs look nothing like this. I could almost call it a bowl style haircut, like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, except that they actually make an inverted U-shape as they cross my forehead. The bangs above my nose are about 1/2" -1" shorter than the bangs above my eyebrows. I explained to her, No, I do not brush my hair back. No, I do not feather my hair, considering it's not 1987 anymore. I wear my hair down over my forehead, just like in this picture. I have to say, even with a giant bottle of Aquaneck, there is no fix for this hair. The worst part, I was leaving the very next day on vacation. This was supposed to be my "going on vacation gotta look good" haircut. I can't even go back in and get it fixed. So, now I'm stuck going on vacation with the worst haircut of my life. read more

Good place for just a trim, hit or miss for cuts. Was looking for a long layer and walked out with a shorter cut than I anticipated that was not exactly even. May or may not go back depending on what I'm looking to get done in the future. read more

The employees are rude and unhelpful, I'm not even sure half of them have their license with the job they did with my hair asked for side bangs, they gave me a 1 inch strip of hair not even angled, I could have done a better job! I came in to purchase some hair products and observed CHARLOTTE cutting a clients hair. She was very attentive to her requests and took extremely good care of her client. I asked CHARLOTTE about cutting my hair and booked an appointment. I came in and she was just as attentive to me as the day I observed her with her client. CHARLOTTE is very personable and a perfectionist when cutting your hair. I am very picky as to who touches my hair, so I only want the BEST. CHARLOTTE IS ONE OF THE BEST HAIRSTYLISTS !!! I then sent my husband in to get a haircut by Charlotte. My husband came back and I was stunned. IT WAS THE BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!! Only CHARLOTTE can cut his hair now. I went to this salon to see the head stylist (don't remember her name, but it starts with a D). I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she literally laughed in my face then showed the picture to the other stylists to laugh some more. I had a spiral perm today by Deena and I really do like it. Deena was very professional and knowledgeable. We discussed the best type of perm and length as well. She explained a couple of different styles and rods to use and why. I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend this Salon. A couple months ago I needed my hair fixed as a walk in and Deena was able to take me then without an appointment and did a great job as well. The power went out briefly today because of the wind and the register & credit card machine went as well. One of the other employees immediately knew how to call and get things back on line and quickly resolved the problem. read more

I have been going to see stylist Deanna for about 8+ years now for a cut and color at least 4 times a year . I must say after a friend told me about the not so hot yelp about her, I had to join to put in my 2 cents worth. Deanna is a wonderful, friendly, talented hairdresser. The 1st time she did my hair many moons ago, I was a walk-in with a botched home color which turned out sort of golden orange. Far from my choice of golden blonde like the box showed. This last time I went there, I didn't have a wonderful experience. This time, I had an OK experience with the woman who cut my hair on Saturday. As a business woman, I cannot understand how a shop can have such unprofessional management. I am appalled at the way the employees are treated and by the fact upper management allows this to go on.
