I absolutely love Hairs to You. It is such an adorable and comfortable place, and everyone is professional, friendly, warm, and accommodating. I always go to Paige, the owner - she is an incredibly creative and talented stylist. I never do anything crazy, but if I ever wanted to I would trust her completely to give me fun colors and a funky cut and make it look amazing. As is, she makes me feel amazing with my usual standard cuts! Paige is also sensitive to the fact that haircuts can be a bit scary for some people - when I wanted to cut my waist-length hair to the middle of my back (still long, but drastic for me!), she patiently let me check the length it would be in the mirror a bunch of times and even measured it with a tape measure so I would know exactly how much would come off to make sure I was ok with it. As it turned out, I cut off 8 inches and was able to donate it, which Paige handled completely. It felt great to donate my hair and I love my new look. Paige also did my hair for my wedding last summer and I couldn't have been happier. She really worked with me to achieve my vision, during a trial at Hairs to You, on my wedding day, and in between on the phone. She also worked hard to do my mom's hair in the exact way she requested, and she was very satisfied and looked gorgeous. Same with my mother-in-law - I've never seen her look better. All in all, I highly recommend Paige and all of the stylists at Hairs to You for both regular haircuts/styling and weddings and other events. We've been going to Hairs To You for almost 2 1/2 years, but today was our last time. Everyone is very nice, but they also all complain about cutting kids (which is why we go). We've had a couple less than stellar cuts, but kids move and things happen. We've also had some good cuts - so I understood why they come so highly recommended. Our son's hairline has a point and not only was it cut off (not the first time), but his entire hairline was raised (and unevenly). I asked for it to "just be cleaned up" and it's summer-cut short... it's a horrible bowl cut in the front instead of his cute part. Worse: We have a family event next weekend and there aren't enough half zips or scarves or hats to cover up this disaster. read more

Walking into Hairs to You is like walking to a sister's house. It feels very comfortable, laid back but still edgy cute and fun. All the ladies there are very personable and down to earth with componants of really caring about the clients. I immediately felt at ease and relaxed. I saw Angela wh fixed a mistake in my hair from a previous place and I was telling her my, everything about my life... it was funny cause I am never like that. She is that good. She fixed up my hair and was cool when I asked her to make some modifications and was open to changes in my hair. She spent a long time with me. Small and friendly environment. I just when there for the first time and had a simple trim so I can't comment on a phenomenal hair-do, but the two hair stylists there were friendly. It was kind of quiet there. There was a mom with 2 kids walking in when I was leaving. If you don't like the large salons full of posers, this is a nice alternative to that. read more

I LOVE Paige and the rest of the Hairs To You (HTY) staff! For the first 30 or so years of my life, I would put off going to get a haircut for months because whenever I went to the salon, I always felt uncomfortable. I would try to make small talk with my stylist, but in the end, I was happy to get out of there with a trim and several more months before having to go back. When it came time for my wedding on 10-10-10, I started looking for stylists to do my wedding hair, and HTY was the first one I tried. I came in for an updo in advance of a fancy dinner I had to go to. My salon experience was transformed! I immediately felt welcome and free to relax and have fun with my hair, while chatting amiably with my stylist. I was extremely happy with the updo that I got, of course, and went back for a trim and to talk about my wedding hair plans. Paige and I did a dry run of my hair based on a picture I found online, and I was sold! My bridal service was great. Paige and Angela came to my house to style me and my bridesmaids, and even managed squeeze in another friend and GRANDMA! :) What really sets Paige and the HTY staff apart, however, is their thoughtful and caring attitude, and this comes across in so many ways. Paige knew, for example, that part of my gift to my bridesmaids was their hair styling for the wedding, and so she handcrafted gift certificates (complete with fancy lettering and vellum overlay) for me to give to my maids! Had I not met Paige, I guarantee that I would still be dreading my trims! Instead, I have not only beautful photos of wedding hair, but a fun trip to the salon every few months since and the freedom and comfort to try new styles, products, and services---incidentally, the spray tan is awesome for a ghosty girl like me! I went to Hairs to You for a spray tan. I had never had one before, and they made me feel very comfortable. The girl told me ahead of time how to prepare and gave me tips for how to preserve the tan later. I had a wretched tan line before I got there (*don't forget to reapply SPF!!*) and it was much improved by the spray tan. The place wasn't lavish or extravagant, but it was clean and orderly, which is what I was looking for. It almost felt like you were going to a friend's house (one that picks up after themselves). The price was reasonable, although I couldn't afford to go all the time. I would definitely go back here again! read more

She always greets us with a smile and is such a good sport about his vocal resistance to getting h is hair cut. We booked a children's haircut here after seeing positive reviews and the fact that they had a kiddie chair. We have two young kids and getting out of the house can be a struggle. Our appointment was for 10 (when the salon opens) and we arrived at 10:10. While I TOTALLY understand that we were late and this was no-one's fault but our own, it was very clear that this salon over books. We walked in and someone was already in the kiddie chair. If the salon opens at ten, and the kid's appointment slots are a half hour, then they clearly double booked. This was our son's first haircut ever, and the entire reason we chose this salon is because it was supposedly child friendly. To make matters worse, when we apologized for being late, the owner scolded us in front of the entire salon. Again, while we understood we were late, it was the way she handled it that really rubbed us the wrong way. The owner was very rude and not even remotely friendly to our toddler. We were yelled at for being late, then told we couldn't be taken by her because her next client was already there (again we were only ten minutes late, so she clearly overlooks A LOT) I'm not sure if she was having a bad morning or what, but coming from a family owned business, I would never treat a customer that way. Finally I asked if we could just be seen by someone else since we drove 20 minutes to get there with two babies in the car. Luckily another stylist had availability and did a pretty good job with his haircut. It was unfortunate because a first haircut is something you hope to be memorable and special, but the owner ruined that for us. I would like to point out that the other stylists were all very nice and very friendly. It's a shame because if it wasn't for the way the owner treated us, we would come back. But I can not patronize a business with an owner that treats her clients, especially a child, so unkindly. I've read other reviews that she complains about cutting children's hair, so maybe she shouldn't market her salon as child friendly if that's how she feels. read more

Seriously guys, I wish I still lived in the area so I could visit it more often! Everyone, especially Paige, is super friendly and helpful. i found this place when i was looking for a salon to donate my hair to Locks for Love. I ended up coming in to have Vaughn do the dead. Paige and Vaughn are great. They made the process of cutting 10" of hair off painless and Vaughn did a great job of styling my hair. Very personable and i'd definitely go back and recommend giving them a try. read more

I wish I could give less than one star. It was abhorrent that they were even willing to take my money after the haircut I got here. Ayonne did not at all listen to what I said I wanted, and cut off 6 inches instead of one. After a disastrous haircut overseas, I was really worried about getting my hair cut again but Kristen did an amazing job. She evened out some really wacky layers and thinned out some over the top bangs. The overall result isn't perfect, but that's still the remnants of my last cut. I went here because of a yelp deal. When I walk in the door I was suprised by the service. I went back a few times but ended up not staying because I feel you need to connect with your stylist who whatever you call the person who cuts your hair. Overall they were good just not for me. read more

I thought I'd try Hairs to You when I got a Groupon offer for $50 worth of services for $25. Sweet, right?? So, I went to cash in on my Groupon a few days before a wedding I needed to go to. I went at about 4:30 on a Thursday. On the phone, they were very nice and got me an appointment right away, which over the phone I took to be good service. When I got there I realized I got in right away because there were 3 people working and not one customer. Oh well, it was a week day. So I started to get my hair done, the same way I usually do -- layers, angles and thinned. It's a pretty standard and boring haircut, but no matter where I get it done, I always walk out looking different and feeling better about myself. The girl who did my hair was very obviously new -- she didn't know where to find some of the products she wanted to use on my hair, and was trained to use the register while I was paying. She was very nice, but I walked out of there not feeling like I just got my hair done -- I felt the same and looked the same, and didn't have the "I just treated myself and look great" feeling that I expect after leaving a salon. It took a really long time to get my hair done, probably because she was inexperienced, and even though they were really nice I felt a little weird being the only person in there. Also, all three of them swarmed the register when I was paying, so even though I wanted to ask for change for my $20 so I could leave a tip, I felt really uncomfortable and a little pressured to leave (the receptionist had all of her stuff packed up for the day and was waiting for me to leave so she could leave) and ended up handing the stylist my entire $20 bill as a tip when I didn't really feel she deserved that much. So I got a mediocre hair cut, with average customer service and ended up paying the same amount with the coupon after over-tipping. I know a lot of this was situational, but for a first-time experience I'm just not impressed. I can't see myself going back there. read more

Alright ... so I rarely review things but this deserves one. I got my very first spray tan the other day from Hairs To You. Who knows why I decided that I just HAD to have one ... I'm basically translucent and I'm really not into "fake baking" ... it's definitely for some people but not me. I get red and weird and it doesn't look cool. Anyway, I had an event that I was nervous for and I decided to just go for it. I wasn't really expecting much but man, I was mega surprised. You know when you get a new awesome haircut or finally fit into your skinny jeans? It was like that. I felt ... awesome. It was a major boost of confidence. I already felt pretty comfortable with the salon and I didn't want to go into one of those creepy booths so I gave it a shot. They were extremely informative and made me feel comfortable. So ladies, if you're skeptical or want that extra boost of awesome, I'd highly recommend trying them for a spray tan. read more

I just took my 17-month-old there for his first haircut. He freaked out. And yet Ayonne, who cut his hair, was calm, professional, and sweet throughout the whole ordeal. In fact, everyone tried to help, offering stickers, toy cars, etc. I'm sure it was unpleasant for everyone to deal with a tantrum-ing toddler, but they never let on or made me feel bad in any way. I did a test tan at Hairs To You a few weeks prior to my event and was very pleased - went back two days before the big event and the tan looked great with my black dress! It's always hard to find a quality place to get a good haircut when you're new to the area. Although this salon offers a lot of services specifically for women, they certainly know how to cut men's hair too. The friendly and knowledgeable staff offered many suggestions for styles and products that I never would have thought to try. The prices are very good for the level of service that you receive. What makes Hairs To You unique is how it feels like 'home' while maintaining an atmosphere of professionalism and knowledge for a delicate craft. My hair means a lot to me. I am very particular, but I also like to change it up. I know I can go in one month wanting something very specific - Paige will listen and do exactly as I ask. went in asking for silver hair, came out a brunette??!!!!! I was told it would "lighten" up to the silver/white blonde color. I waited a week & still no change. So insecure about my hair and the color. Called and asked if owner could fix.. they brought me in, half assed some bleach into my ends and then MADE ME PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE! i have never been so unhappy with a salon and just amazed that they wouldn't take responsibility for their mistake and charged me to fix it.. after all that it still isn't anywhere close to the color i want, and has tones of green, wow ew.. so upset with my service there :( read more

I am a college student back from break and wanted to impress a girl with a new haircut, I went from fuzzy headed teddy bear to one sexy teddy, I am definitely coming back to Hairs To You. They are very reasonably priced (mens cut $22) and boy do they know what they are doing, considering I came in with only a slight notion of what I wanted and left with a new sexy do, the stylist was very courteous and helpful, and surprisingly relatable.
