I called and got an appointment for the very next day! Krystle is amazing!!! I have naturally light brown hair but I high light it blonde. She used like 3 colors and used plastic wrap- totally cool technique I had never experienced before! My high lights are the best they have EVER been!! They go right to the roots and look very natural. She used Aveda products (which I love) and recommended some things to help me style my hair at home. GO SEE KRYSTLE! She is the best! And she's super nice and fun to talk to! I wish I could come see her more often :(

I stopped in and spoke to Daryl and showed him what had happened and discussed what it would take to fix it. So I went today and had the best salon experience ever! ! He went so far out of his way to fix my hair and spent over 4 hours at a way less than expected price! ! He even got on his knees to cut my long hair correctly! He paid way closer attention to my hair than anyone ever has! ! My hair looks 500% better than when I walked in! ! I found my new permanent salon from here on out! ! The first time I met the owner I had horribly home bleached hair that made me look like a fluorescent and cheap lady of the evening. I went here a couple times at the beginning of my waxing journey. Yes waxing is painful, but this seemed like the goal was to get me in and out in 10 minutes or less. It seemed like there was no consideration for my comfort. On top of that, I left every waxing with bruises (which can happen if you're not hydrated) but also burns and raw skin patches that took a long time to heal fully. Any complaints I made, I was told to purchase something from their extensive line of pre and post care ointments and products, and that the wax was kept at a regulated temperatures. I just think customer care wasn't prioritized and it wasn't a great experience.

The website answers any and all questions about your cut, color, or wax in advance, with a demystifying FAQ page and a full before and after care list. My service was ~30 minutes long and I felt totally comfortable for the duration. Nitty Gritty goes out of their way to ensure their salon is an LGBTQ+ safe space - there's specific information on waxing if you're transitioning, an ask for pronouns at the time of registration, and a truly welcoming atmosphere for all.
