It is kinda stuck away on the edge of an industrial area of Auckland's north shore and if you aren't familiar with the area may be a little hard to find at first. Every time we come is busy , even on Monday night's which tells you a lot about a place, yes? Amongst all the dishes have tasted in the time we have been a recent one has stood out as the best and most delicious we have had. It is the fish cooked in soy sauce, tofu and fried corncake ( 贴饼子炖鱼 ). Outstanding and worth getting the odd little fish bone stuck annoyingly between the teeth. Here you can have hotpot , coldpot , just dishes or BBQ. You choose. The kiwifruit juice is delicious. You have to try if you ever go. Staff are quick to serve and very friendly , cheerful and you will often see the owner running around helping. Which is always a good thing to see .And the place itself is really clean. They have a system where if you register and dine there enough and accumulate $500 of spending you will then receive 5% off the next times you return. Can barely fault the restaurant which is why I gave it a 5. Enough said. Try it yourself if passing and you won't regret it.

Having just come back from Chengdu and the flavours of their particular cuisine still " fresh " in my taste buds it was too much to walk past this place. Had to go in and try it out and see how it rates against the " real thing ". And we were not disappointed. Though a small place it felt welcoming as were the staff, and they have done the interior decor quite nicely too. The sour soup was a bit over powering with the vinegar, but if you like strong vinegar soup this is perfect and I stilled enjoyed it. The lamb dumplings were not gamey at all! I am surprised how good the lamb in NZ is coming from the US and having gamey lamb.

Yet another My Kitchen has opened up in Auckland amongst a small of shops and restaurants in this…read morenewly developed area in Albany. It has since we first tried the one on Dominion Rd been a favourite of ours though at times it feels a little on the expensive side . And this one lived up to all our expectations. Being new it was clean, service was good , the food and drinks too. Just what we wanted. Amongst what we had was the original toast , and for the first time ever it came with cream. No problem !!! It made a tasty combination. You can order online for takeaway and if you order 11 times then the 12th is free. Good deal!!!Overall well worth the visit especially if you have experienced the other branches. Enjoy!!!
