No. That's Greenwich Locksmiths on 7th Ave S) and said there was no way the key didn't work. It didn't. I left it with him since he refused to give mw my money back and the key didn't work so it's not like he could use it. I've refused to go in there even though it's right next door since then. Until today. That guy is THE WORST. Everyone in the neighborhood talks about how much he sucks and that we all walk the extra block to Garber, but man I forgot how much I hate that guy until I ran in today. Do not shop here. They're horrible people and it's way more expensive than the good hardware stores. (Also their address is wrong. Presumably to confuse people who want to write bad reviews. It's on 9th Ave just south of 25th.)

The box was closed with two strips of tape and they refused to open it up for me because they said it was their policy that if the box was open, I would have to buy it and could not return it. Neither of them could find the measurements on the box or anywhere else. I asked whether since they worked in a hardware store, they might be able to figure out how to put two more strips of tape back on the box if I ended up not purchasing the item. They clearly did not care at all. Terrible customer service completely unhelpful will never shop here again.

Instead, they are 1-2 tones lighter/off-tone (I am a fashion designer, so I know about my colors). It is so ridiculous that this is known to them, that their Sales Associates are instructed to tell the customers that this is the case!! They shouldn't sell that paint! But BEFORE I understood this, when after buying the darkest Grey color they had (2129-20), and getting home to find out it looked much lighter than the color chip, I decided to try again and went back to buy BLACK instead. My 2nd sales guy simply said to me "Why don't you just buy the Black from the shelf?" (He also said they were the same price...). So I said, thinking he was just trying to make it easier on himself since it was end of day, "No, I just want you to mix my designer Black paint (2132-10)". He never explained that the paint colors wouldn't match... I went home to find out their BLACK paint looks Dk NAVY!!! To make things worse, after wasting $50 for the 2 cans of paint and a frustrated weekend trying to paint my little bookcase, I went back to their store to explain what had happened. I didn't even expect a refund, just a simple aknowledgement. BUT I guess, at Scheman's hardware store, the customer is never right. The manager didn't even want to hear my version of the story. Instead, he believed (wrongly) what his sales associate said... (He of course said he told me that the paint colors were not going to match the color chips). This happened 2 wks ago, and I still have that icky feeling of having been really wronged... Again, writing this review just hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else! Silvia P.

Over the years I've gotten screws, hooks, sink pipes, and basically every supply I needed for painting my hallway and bedroom. They're really friendly, helpful and attentive. Most of my trips in are usually 5 mins or less, they're that good!

I showed the gentleman one of the screws, and he made sure that I got the exact screws that I needed. Another gentlemen also asked before I checked out if I managed to find the right screw, and I find that very nice, since it showed a sense of caring and compassion for the customer, which is something so many stores are forgetting about. Just note that there is a $10 credit/debit card minimum, so if you are buying something under $10 after tax, you need to pay cash.

Was impressed with their selection, although comparing their price for this to other shops for this same succulent, they're a little high. I didn't compare their prices for other things. While they had a few almost the right size rectangular planters, they weren't exactly what I've been looking for. Would definitely recommend checking it out for options for plant needs. That being said I like local shops, and I'd go back to Mushtari for hardware needs or to have a coffee - if you walk in, the middle of the store has a nice cafe! Check it all out!
