I was measured at this store for a suit The suits were ordered from a store in Des Moines Iowa My son lives in Des Moines and the entire order was placed there I walked back into the store in West Acres. Was greeted curtly by a young man who was challenged by just holding his clothes on. His IQ and customer service skills were nil. I was told the stores were separate ownership and there was nothing he could do He didn't even offer to alter my suit at a cost I would have paid to have it altered and have something I could use Now I have nothing Please support a local shop owned by a local owner Don't go to a chain hiding behind a store front name AVOID this store You will save a lot of dissertation by going somewhere else read more

I visited Fargo for my wife's high school reunion. Needed a dress shirt. Halberstadt's was across the street from our hotel. Great selection! Personalized service too. Alex insisted on steaming the shirt so that it didn't look like it was brand new. He also insisted that I bring my suit in so that it could be steamed out too - no sense having wrinkles from my suitcase. I bought a few other shirts and a blazer too while I was there. Very stylish and excellent selection. And I live in the Chicago area - so that's saying a lot since we have great choices in my home town too. If you live in the Northern Midwest, its worth taking a ride to Broadway in Fargo for great menswear choices and service. read more

You will not get what you pay for. I wear a suit and tie every day for work. Comfort and quality are everything. The attention in service was great. The knowledge of the staff was lacking. I had to bring the suit back to be altered for the second time since their measurements were wrong. They also charged me for the correction alteration. The suit cost about $250.00 and is the worst quality suit I own. (Don't buy the Bertolini suits) read more

We came to Fargo and with 5 minutes they were able to find us a tie that matched and pulled out a suit and undershirt to show us how it would look. We were so impressed! I would never recommend this clothing store for men's suits. Not one suit was correct for my son's wedding yesterday. The fittings were not done correctly-sleeves on coats too short. Shoes incorrectly sized. Holes worn through the pants within hours of wearing and seams coming apart. Our groom and groomsmen did not rent these suits, but purchased them. This shop should be ashamed of their work and for charging such prices for shoddy goods!! read more

I was part of a wedding party, and the bride and groom decided to go with Halberstadt's for the groomsmen's suits. The first visit that we made, the staff was super helpful (Cole specifically). We got the desired suit picked out for the groomsmen, got measured, and then left. When we received a call that the suits were ready, we went to go and picked them up, and this is when it got bad... The service was horrible! I do understand that it was a Saturday, and very busy, but it was bad. We tried on the suits to make sure they fit correctly, but none of them seemed to fit very well at all. When trying to talk with the staff about this, they acted very annoyed, and sent us to this other business downstairs that did tailoring, because they were too "busy"! I feel like they just wanted me out of the store at that point, because they had already made the sale, and i was no longer worth anymore money to them. read more

I have a closet full of suits from Halberstadt's in Fargo and St. Cloud. I've purchased the inexpensive suits and the nicer suits. I all cases I received good value for the amount paid. I also stock on up Modena dress shirts. They fit perfectly and wear like iron. Also...I am a 38 short and it is incredible that Halberstadt's offers a selection in that size. I went to an upscale Twin Cities store and they had 2 suits my size. Halberstadt's is 5 stars in my book! read more
