I've visited a few half price books locations previously with friends but there weren't any where I lived in California. Was elated to find one in Bowling Green after moving to the area. It's a fun way to kill time, wandering the aisles for the next read. And you can get albums for $1 each so I've been rounding out my record collection. read more

Absolutely loved this store. Has a great well organized collection. The staff is extremely friendly. I bought a lot of Sidney Sheldon's that was missing from my collection. You can't sell any old books here, but they mentioned they have a branch in Nashville where guy can. read more

Decent selection of books and media well sorted and organized. Fair prices too---and unbeknowst to us before we got there we picked the perfect day to go, a $1 day when every item in the store was only $1. Quite a way to stock up on books and movies! read more

This is the **OUTLET** of Half Price Books! If you love Half Price Books for its low prices and wide selection, you will no doubt need to come and check this place out!! There are no tricks or gimmicks here: just clearance and Super Clearance books, DVDs, CDs and some vinyls, too! All of these are well organized on shelves. I found The Sushi Experience by Hiroko Shimbo for $4; a bunch of other cookbooks for 50 cents from the Super Clearance section; a couple of CDs for $1 each...a few mystery books for $2 each...it just doesn't get better than this! They also have this "Build a Flat" deal: choose a pre-sized cardboard and fold it into a flat box, then fill it with paperbacks for something like $5 or $10. Then there is the flat of DVDs: the entire flat for $15!!! Hoarders beware!!!! They are also running this deal on 10/31: fill a bag for $20...geez...You just have to check this place out! read more

Love the store could spend hours in there- books priced pretty cheap however they have a Dr Who poster on a wall for $100.00- we priced it on Amazon and it's $7.79 brand new they had theirs framed in a $12 frame you can pick up at Walmart - not sure why they think it's worth $100? Store was clean but some of the alcoves badly needed tidying up. Will definitely go back to nose around but probably after the mask mandate is lifted. read more

Tons of books, comics, movies, and games at great prices. But don't bother going here for Vinyl, it's a glorified Goodwill record section. read more

If I lived near here I would spend all my money here. $1 dvds and Blu Rays. $1 mass market paperbacks. So many books so little time.

Great place to get used book. They also have mtg tournaments every other week. I use this place to supplement my amazon business. If you have a kid buy a bunch of books here to get them started on reading!!! read more

Of all the half price stores I've been and I have travelled extensively this is the only one that places small magic marker or colored hi liter dots on the book edges right on the pages...wow talk about ruining a book. They say they don't have time to look at the dated clearance sticker so they scan the shelves looking for the colored dot to pull old stick out. Unbelievable really! read more

If you're looking for CDs or books for cheaper than what you would give on Amazon, this is the place to go. To begin with, the store is very well organized, making it easy to find what you want quickly. Also, the staff is friendly, which makes for a good atmosphere overall. Finally, they run sales quite often, making the already low prices much lower than they already were. With that said, I've been here many times, and will certainly come back again. read more

I looked on their website to see if they bought books as well as sold them and it said they did. So I spent all night gathering a box together and walked in only to be stopped at the door and told they no longer buy books. I went shopping there anyway since I already planned to and found some good deals but ran into a few problems as well. Firstly, the signs on the ends of the aisles were on the wrong aisle. I searched for 15 minutes for a certain type of book that was listed to be in that section only to find it in the next aisle! I then had to squeeze by several pallets that were dropped in the middle of the section I was trying to get to. Lastly, I bought the first season of a tv series only to find that it was missing a disc. Partially my fault for not checking before purchasing but the staff should have checked it before putting it out. Highly disappointed as it was the first disc of the season too. read more
