Questionable Honesty/Reliabllity: Hall was to send my Taurus tx22 back to Taurus to address a jamming issue and gave me a work order to that effect. About 2.5 months later called Hall to see if they got my gun back and they had not. Several weeks later I called Taurus to check on the status of my gun and was told they needed a tracking number. So I called Hall for a tracking number and was told they would take care of it. Next day Hall called to say my gun was in that the problem could not be replicated. So I picked up the gun and Hall repeated that the problem could not be replicated. I then requested to see the report they got from Taurus and was told they threw it away. A few days later I got through to Taurus and was told they had no record of working on my gun. Having bought several guns at Hall, needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Anyway, I have had many excellent GUN SHOP experiences! Transfers, etc.! One of my best experiences was when a firearm was negotiated down to $1,300.00, but when I got home, the check was written for $1,350.00. First time in the store today and VERY impressed. Staff was all great, very helpful and friendly. I came in to trade in a pistol on another more well suited as a suppressor host and they had just what I was looking for, as well as a nice optic to sit on top of it. They installed the optic and bore sighted it free of charge. They also checked the alignment of the suppressor on the gun before I left and everything was perfect. I asked hall precision to perform a restoration of my grandfather's .32, nickel plated, octagon barrel, H&R double action revolver. About 100 years old and had sentimental value. I found it at the bottom of my grandfather's fishing tackle box so granted it was in rough shape. Triggers locked up and had some surface rust but not horrible. Anyway, long story short I found hall staff completely unmotivated to perform the restoration, full of excuses and poor communication. I never felt like a valued customer nor did I feel hall understood the sentimental value I had for the gun. I would have paid multiples the dollar value for a kick ass restoration but sadly didn't get that at hall. I received an amateur restoration IMO that took way too long (2+ months) and incomplete (trigger is still not 100% functional). Practically had to beg them to finish. They had no paperwork on gun restoration project (details of work performed, parts replaced, etc.). They couldn't give back the old "broken" gun parts replaced (lifter, springs, etc). Even car mechanics do that. They surprised me with "the gun's frame is cracked" at pickup but couldn't inform me of this fact at anytime during the 2+ mth restoration? What is that about? I do not recommend hall precision for gun smith work. read more

Love this place, always met with great customer service, the guys here really do there best to make sure you get everything you need and are highly knowledgeable about anything you might want to know. The gunsmithing service is fantastic, I recently got a custom built rifle here and it was done in a timely matter and was perfect. I also took their ccw class and it was informative and worth it. Stopped by Hall's a couple weeks ago on a whim after seeing the store from the Hwy! I had a Ruger #1 from 1976 that had been neglected and decided to let them have a shot at restoring. Daniel took it and called me a couple times over the next week with updates and recommendations. Two weeks later I got it back and it has been brought back to life!
