I understand the difficulty of staffing adequately in the current economic climate, but if this is the case they need to schedule accordingly. My last three service visits have taken on average twice as long as promised and today I dropped off a vehicle for new tires at 8:30 and only received a call at 12:30 - telling me that it would ready "by end of day." I don't live in Dodgeville and they offered no accommodation so my only choice was to leave without them even starting the work. I'll be getting my tires elsewhere and looking to Platteville for better service. read more

If I could give no stars I would. The auto parts guys are real rude if you're delivering any auto parts here. The guy driving the forklift must not be too happy with his job. Waited for 30 minutes to get off loaded and he tells me "Hurry the fuck up, I don't have all day for this shit". I hope he doesn't talk to customers that way. read more

Bought a Ford Explorer from Hallada. I had it just one year. It was a nighmare!!!!. After all kinds of repairs (mind you this was one of those certified preowned cars). It would stop in the middle of the highway for no reason with no waning. This happened twice. No one could find anything wrong with it. I believe the car had flood damage and no one told me. Figured Hallada would make it right since I still had 4 years of payments and all the new parts and work I had done to it. The dealer (Slick Nick) said he would take all the work I put into it into consideration. He pulled at fast one on me. At lease twice how much I would get for a trade in....He never gave me an answer. I took a royal screwing and NEVER again will I deal with Hallada! Watch out for Slick Nick..... read more

I recently purchased a new vehicle from this dealership, I drove 50 miles out of my way because they had the SUV I was looking for, I did most of my research online and set up an appointment. I was greeted by the SUV sitting out front running and warmed up! The salesman took down my DL info and said go take it for a spin. I love it when they have the trust in you to let you drive it without them, I don't need to hear about all the bells and whistles until I actually like the way a vehicle drives. I returned to the dealer and met with the finance dept, not only did they finance me on the spot, I was driving my new SUV home within the hour I drove in. Prompt, courteous, treat you like family and no other dealer was even close to their price. Worth the 50 mile drive each way? MOST DEFINITELY! read more

Bought a used car that had been (safety checked). But when I test drove it-before buying it, I heard a clunking noise, and told them about it after bringing it back.. They said they would check it out and repair it. On that same day, they said they fixed it, so I then purchased the car. Took it to Wal-Mart after purchase of the car and heard the same clunk. Went back to Halada's and told them about the same noise. They said they would put it back on the hoist and find and fix the problem. But not before reminding me that there was no quarantee. Drove a block after purchase and they said they really didn't need to stand behind the purchase. It was hours old. Anyway, told me to leave the car and they would put it on the hoist again. Called 3 days later and said they had it fixed. That it was a bushing or something. Well, by that time I knew they had no idea what they were doing, so I took it to Al's Auto service in Platteville. He drove it about ten feet and knew right away there was a problem He found it right away-tie rod and broken motor mount. They had it on the hoist at least 3 times and never noticed. I find it hard to believe it is legal to send a car out of your sales lot-after inspection it- with broken motor mount and bad tie rod. Nick the salesman is really not a asset to the company. He had no interest at all of finding the problem and making it right. Live and learn and never again. Not a very reputable company. read more
