Her massages are always on point! She says i have a million knots in my pectoral areas (i'm a critical care nurse) and she massages them out. its fairly painful...who am i kidding...very painful but necessary. Massaging those tight areas have helped with my tension headaches. She offers amazing deals and if you are a regular...she will hook you up. i always get an hour and half. she will be adding a second suite to her place so she can start doing more than one person at a time. Her place is super clean. doesn't have a bunch of fragrances floating in the air. The massage bed does have a heater on it. I practically go at least twice a month if not more. please come check her out! Tell her Amy sent you!

The combination of periodic chiropractic adjustments and therapeutic massages, I've been able to really fight off or shorten the duration on my head pain. Raina is the massage therapist that both my husband and I use. She is fantastic. Profession, friendly, knowledgeable. She makes recommendations about what she thinks needs to be the target areas but she also listens to what you think. She doesnt just massage aimlessly. She finds the trouble areas and works them out. As a person that is pretty OCD, one of my favorite things is that she always does the exact same thing on both sides of the body. Both my husband and I have come back time and time again because of the entire team here. From the time you walk in at reception, where they remember you and greet you with a friendly smile to the clean facility, rooms and equipment. I highly reccomend this place. They have both male and female therapists to fit your comfort level but you won't be disappointed with whomever you choose. As for the chiropractic adjustments...timely and on point. She doesn't adjust you every visit and she seems to have a real understanding about the body and where to adjust. All I can say is that I do not think you will be disappointed by coming here. The best part is that they also take insurance for the chiropractic services offered!

However, all the massage places in the area have the same increase. There is free parking with two designated spots since it is a busy strip. They do well with limited English. Things they could do to make it five stars: my roommate and I noticed, they do not consistently have the same amount of time. I set my watch now. They could put a sign on the door when full so the workers don't have to leave to answer the door and phone. I'd love if they could get the hot towels ready in the room--they are all big enough--so no one is freezing while waiting for the massage personnel to return. And don't ask for more of a tip; it's just tacky.

It was a surprise gift for my husband's birthday so it was last minute. I called in the morning requesting a couples massage. I was hopeful that I could at least get an hour, but instead, we were able to get a 2 hour massage at 7:30pm. It was perfectly relaxing, thorough, and deep tissue with hot stones. I could feel the deepness, and yet it was not painful. My husband was overly impressed! We were worried at first because the atmosphere was not like a spa or traditional massage place we normally go to, but it was clean, relaxing, and super affordable for the quality received.

First it was that's not our website with a picture of their establishment right on top of the services offered. We booked a deep tissue massage for my husband. Was told over the phone it was $60. I then called back and said I would like to add your 30 min foot massage for myself for $30. She said yes come on in. We get there and everything has changed. Now his massage is $80 and I have to get a full massage with feet included for $70. Please explain this foolery. Go to a reputable SPA. Only went here because it was a last minute decision on a random Sunday. Woodhouse Spa is usually where we frequent and we will NEVER try anything ever again. So disgusted. My ladyfriend and I found this spot while we were in New Orleans for five days over New Year's week. We took a cab uptown and found the place, which was the first floor of what appeared to be a classic New Orleans single-family mansion. The interior of the spa was very nice, and Zoe greeted us and made us feel comfortable. We determined that I would go first, and Zoe had me go into the massage room and asked me some questions about what I expected, whether there were any areas of concern that she should concentrate on. She then left so that I could disrobe (she said any level of disrobement would be fine with her), and made small talk with my girlfriend and made sure she had everything she needed while she waited. The massage was very nice. Full body. I particularly enjoyed the attention she gave to my heels, my hamstrings, and in and under my shoulder blades. The massage lasted about an hour, with soothing nature sounds playing throughout the duration. After the massage she took my girlfriend in while I waited and read some books in the spa area. Her massage lasted about an hour as well and she enjoyed hers thoroughly as well. After all was said and done, we talked for about 10 minutes about our respective backgrounds and New Orleans politics. The massage was reasonably priced and she accepted cash or credit. I reccomend her to anybody who wants a relaxing experience.

I stumbled across the Peppermint Room and saw the glowing Yelp reviews and immediately booked time with Luz. I booked a massage with face cleansing ritual. First the massage part... the room was large but also cozy. The electric fireplace was a really nice touch. Luz found all the knots... all of them. And worked through them with a firm but gentle touch. I knew my back was a mess but not how much of a mess until she started working on me. The cleansing ritual was not a typical facial... it was more like a face massage with a cleansing. I highly recommend this. I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. Again Luz was great! The location is a non-descript building which faces Lafayette St but the front door is actually on 18th St and their are reserved parking spots out front...love the painted parking spot detail. Loved the ability to book online and I was just charged a deposit on my total bill.
