I was craving sushi. We were at D mall and decided to try Hama out. Now remember, this is the Philippines and it's on the beach. The restaurant had fans on but no AC so it was warm. Water looked cold but got to room temp real fast. The service was ok. During our vacation, we experienced other restaurants with AMAZING customer service. You could say it was mid here, at most. The gyozas were not crispy but I know my son loved his order. I think it was an unagi Donburi bowl. Overall, it was nice. May or may not return. read more

The queue wasn't that long, but the food wasn't served hot. We didn't get to eat anything warm, even though most of our orders were ramen. We also ordered karaage as a side dish. To be fair, the staff member, Rose Mae, did repeat our order. However, for a group of two petite girls, one adult, and one child who ordered three ramen bowls, she didn't mention that there are two kinds of karaage. Instead, we were served the karaage bento. When we raised this concern, she responded sarcastically, saying, "Di ba inulit ko sa inyo?" She could have simply explained that she had repeated the order, and we would have accepted it. However, her response came across as rude, especially since she didn't clearly explain the karaage options in the first place, even though we only ordered karaage as a side dish. read more

Was craving sushi while in Boracay and this place looked good, was reasonable priced, and always busy. Service was absolutely terrible! One sushi roll took over and hour to make. Everyone else at the table got their food and finished it before my roll came out. They then got the order wrong and our bill was incorrect. Manager was not accommodating at all. In fact, the couple next to us had the same experience while there. Would not recommend. So many other good places to try. read more

I don't know why this restaurant has the star rating it does - the food is WONDERFUL!! The staff are friendly and always around of you need something. We ordered a bunch of things, photos listed, and always seemed like we had food being served. The wait for food seemed very short as they served the appetizer dishes quickly then the main courses. The decor was nice and had multiple strong fans to help with the heat. My husband used to live in Japan for a few years and said all of the food he had seemed very authentic. Since I won't be back, I'm breaking my three time rule. Stopped for lunch. On a busy Monday afternoon , place is great. Fun place to people watch and chill. Staff is friendly, professional and efficient! Ordered a few rolls and a bento box all very good. For Boracay on the beach, probably excellent. We decided to stop in here for dinner because the spot seemed pretty busy. So many different items on the menu and a lot of different options. I decided to get ramen for dinner. When it came out, it was just alright. I wouldn't say that it was one of the best I had, but it was good enough for a meal. My friends had the same thought as well. The customer service is great! Let's start with that! If you are pretty familiar with eating sashimi and sushi, you will know that this is an ok sushi, good for starters. I ordered Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, and an order of Sashimi Moriwase. You can tell that the fish had been frozen and thawed. Not a fan. Disgusted. First and last visit to this restaurant Ordered pork bento - asked the waitress if i could change order . meat has a lot of fat - disgusting taste. I didn't realize Japanese food bento has a lot of fatty pork . But according to their boss it's not allowed to change order even though I didn't get to eat my meal and spitted out all fatty pork. The restaurant didn't offer any other options, they took my food , untouched except for salad that I ate half. And charge me for the full meal. read more

Service was lacking and they may have trouble Listening or understanding you because our order did not come out as we asked or requested . Regardless of how we're going to write this review the location is in a very busy part of the Boracays Dmall so it will always have traffic but for those of you actually wanting great food or even taste if you don't come here that's my advice a total waste of money and time read more

There is an indoor dining room as well as an outdoor patio. It's a great place for people watching, and you can enjoy the live music from Hobbit Tavern across the street. It is rare that I enjoy every. single. plate that is brought out, as is the case here. Compliments to the Chef! The Tuna Tartar over ice is Bomb . Our udon noddles with chicken was surprisingly good for such a common dish. The Unagi Sashimi was just right and our Gyoza Platter could have been a little crispier, but overall, still excellent. Located in the heart of D'Mall walk and within a stone throw of the beach, this restaurant is convenient and offers a different fare than the regular Filipino food that is abundant here. read more

Bad food, got nothing to do with real japanese food. The Nigiri was cut un proffessanilly combo bento set comes with chicken bones instead of chicken wings, beef stew found out to be beef stir fried with glass nodells. Service wasn't good dishes were served with 10 minutes differences between people, appetazier was served AFTER main course. Tourist trap, counting on you to come once and never come back.
