When I buried my father, the cemetery and grounds were called Holly Hills. When I buried my mother, the funeral home and grounds were called Highland Memorial South. The experiences in of these two previous services were quite satisfactory, in hindsight, but my memories of them are vague and unremarkable. I say this, not to be trite or critical, but rather to highlight that this new reinvention as Berry Highland South under the direction of Dignity Memorial was 1000% greater The care and services we received from Berry Highland South, under funeral director TC Linton exceeded my friends, church, and families expectations, and in my opinion, raise the bar in standard of excellence one can expect from a funeral home and cemetery. Making the arrangements and preparations were comfortable and stressless. T.C. Linton and his staff were authentic, measured,and uniquely capable to communicate with a variety of personalities. I mention this facet of their characters and demeanors as a compliment. I read a previous review on here from someone else's funeral that specifically contradicts my groups personal-experience and I call bullshit. Dignity Memorial was actually awe inspiring. There were no kinks, no media failures, no surprises. T.C. demonstrated a remarkable ability to navigate and advise, support and facilitate the funeral WE wanted and did so to perfection. He didn't gouge our bill or hard sell us on anything we didn't need. He was supportive and consoling like a trusted friend, well rounded to receive and heighten the milieu when some of us faltered and fostered a calmness that was measured and appropriate. He recommended a menu for their lounge for receiving friends that is STILL trending on our groups media feed as #bestfuneralever. I can't imagine what their top shelf food package would look like, we got the base offering and my family thought we we're in heaven. Nice. It was epic. TC Linton also did an amazing job on my brothers makeup. His artistry was beautiful and impeccable, my brother looked fantastic and was greatly received. Dignity Memorial was trustworthy and discreet, accommodating and flexible. They were perfect. I never expected to be invigorated and renewed in my soul after the death of my only brother. Our families hearts are enriched and mended. Great Job.

My Grandmother was laid to rest here with a pre-paid plan that had been taken care of years ago. I…read morewould like to start by saying that it was not a welcoming place to be and felt as though we were an inconvenience. My Grandmother's "package" included a video of family photographs put to music. During the private family visitation the video wasn't put up, they apparently had technical difficulties with the DVD player. They obviously had not checked the video or equipment prior to our arrival. The director kept running back and forth with the remote which was a distraction. They never got the main screen above the casket working and rather than turning it off, kept the logo prompt running through the entire service (very distracting and disrespectful). The put a smaller TV to the side of the casket without the volume (till we asked) where people had to crowd around to see. When asking about the situation, the lady there treated me rudely and had also mentioned a racial slur in front of my husband. Additionally, the online condolences were not accessible for people to express their comments. She had a grandson in Germany who was unable to attend that would have used this service if available. VERY disappointing at such a sad time for the family. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. By the way, the charge to family members for a copy of the dvd is $50!!!!! WOW...

Treats everyone with the greatest respect and concern. The cost of the services are not out of sight, like a lot of places are. Being an insurance agent for years I saw a lot of services and costs.

I worked with Nicole on my mother's service recently. The cemetery looks better than it has in all…read moremy years visiting there, and she is so incredibly sweet and compassionate. She took care of all of my needs. Even though shipping has been slowed down due to COVID, she kept me posted every step of the way. I've done business in that office so many times and before Nicole, I dreaded going in. There was a mean old lady who worked in the back who was rude every single time, even if I only had a question, she acted like it was stupid when I had no other way of knowing but to ask. And other people that worked up front before never had the answers, and always acted like you were interrupting their facebook or phone time by walking in and simply asking them to do their job. But with Nicole, even though I walked in as she was eating her lunch, she didn't make me feel as if I were inconveniencing her and she even spent an hour talking with me going over things as her lunch sat there getting cold. She was so easy to talk to and she even sent me a card at Christmas, and that was the first time ANYONE from there ever went beyond what they had to - or to be frank, did anything at all. I am so glad the new people are there. If you've had trouble in the past there, those people are gone, and GOOD RIDDANCE JERKS! Don't need to be in a job like that if you have no compassion for grieving families! Thank you for getting rid of those people and getting better staff that goes the extra mile!!!

Uncle Hanks was love at first sight. Where else can you MAKE your own knife?!? Hank and Luanne are the husband and wife owner team that will treat you like family. We spent about three hours with them and would absolutely love to have them over for dinner. You too will get that comfortable with these two genuine people. Hank loves to explain the process while you are making the knife together with him. He is a born teacher. He is also very patient with younger children and understands their level of interest might not stay peaked for the entire process. The knives are custom fit to your hand and will leave the shop super sharp.

The work and expense to keep horses is not priceless, unfortunately. They see the vet, farriers, require medications and eat constantly! It is unusual to get a young, healthy, trained horse surrendered. They get the best care by knowledgeable, experienced horse lovers. The whole program is geared to teach young and old, it is organized and well planned. It is easy to volunteer! Volunteering has been the best! It can be hard dirty work but it feels so good and is better than any gym.
