When you buy a vehicle, the dealer is supposed to make you aware of any problems, so I am turning them into the Better Business Bureau and speaking with an attorney. I have never been lied to like she was lied to about a vehicle that cost $6,800.00. That's not alot of money for some people, but for a single mother, it's alot and it's about doing the right thing. I would be leary of this car dealer. They lie straight to your face and sale complete garbage for vehicles. They wouldn't even let her pay them to repair it, then trade it for a different vehicle. That says alot in itself. They don't even trust their on mechanics and won't trade a vehicle they sold less than two months ago for cash. All negotiations were conducted by text message and are documented in writing. I was clearly told that sales tax was included in the out-the-door price. I even have a photo of their computer screen showing the calculated Georgia sales tax (within about $100 of the correct amount), along with screenshots of all our price negotiations. We agreed on a price pending an independent inspection from a local shop -- an inspection they initially told me was unnecessary because they had already completed a "127-point inspection" themselves and through the auction. The independent inspection revealed several costly issues, including ball joints with an estimated repair cost of approximately $2,500. Based on those findings, we renegotiated and agreed on a revised out-the-door price. I informed them I would be paying cash via cashier's check and driving four hours each way to complete the purchase. They assured me the paperwork would be ready when I arrived. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of trusting that everything matched our written agreement and did not re-review the paperwork carefully before signing. Later, I discovered that the Georgia sales tax had been removed from the deal, effectively increasing my cost by over $1,100 when I went to register the vehicle at the tag office. An "out-the-door" price has a clear meaning, especially when sales tax is explicitly discussed and documented. MIND you, between my first contact with the dealership, and them telling they would not sell me the vehicle for what they had it listed as, 3 days had gone by. They had 3 days to figure something like this out. So either they know this and try to take advantage of people or they don't care enough to provide decent service. Shop elsewhere if possible.

Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. Over the past 8 months I have left several messages, sent emails, and tried to do everything possible to get paid for the work we did but I can't even get a call back. I hate that I have to write this review - I was even hoping we could do more business together. Life is hard enough right now without getting ripped off for doing honest work.
