This bar feels incredibly Americanized to me. I would say it most certainly caters to people visiting from the U.S. All signage is in English, and all staff we interacted with speak English. The food looked good, but we did not eat here. We just came to enjoy a margarita on the patio while we had some time to kill.
I got a mango margarita on special, which was decent. My husband got a house frozen margarita, and didn't think it was very good. They feature their margaritas, but they didn't carry triple sec, so they just poured additional tequila into his! The staff is nice. This is probably an okay place for lunch or a drink, but if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, it is not here.
There was also a really odd sign on the door indicating that they would be closing for the remainder of the weekend to clean (we were there on Friday afternoon), because there was a vicious rumor spreading around that Hammerhead's had continued to operate with COVID-positive staff.
