I made sure I tipped HIM well because HE is trying to do his best. He did not cook the food. I had a couple beers and ordered my favorite here.... cheese soup, or caldo de queso. I have not eaten much as I was diving all day. I also ordered 3 beef flautas to go. I looked for the salmon I usually get, and it was not on the menu, but availability and prices change. I get that. Back to the soup ...the broth was bitter and had hardly any spices or flavor. It was such a disappointment...like it was thrown together and microwaved. Usually the broth is rich with complex flavors, like a layered cake. The broth could stand alone with nothing else in it. Yes ..it was that good. I said to the bartender it was very bad, and the bartender apologized. A few seconds later the "cash you out lady" came over and she was a straight up unpleasant. She did not offer any apologies or offer to comp the horrible soup. It was business as usual. I was so disappointed. The flautas- three flautas covered by some type of thrown together shredded lettuce and rice n beans and guacamole. I can say the guacamole was amazing. The beef in the flautas was dried out and tasteless. It tasted frozen. It was a sloppy mess that , once again, seemed thrown together. You can see the difference in the soups in my photos. La Palapa Griega is the most dishonest restaurant in San Carlos…read more We've been going to San Carlos every year for the past 16 years. We were at La Palapa and ordered a crab dish. We tried to find any CRAB in the meal. None existed when we paid and were leaving. I stopped at the counter and said to the Manager, there was no crab in my meal, he YELLED "YOU LIE" I hadn't asked for a credit or anything, he just yelled "YOU LIE" I've talked to other friends and their comments were that they don't go to La Palapa Griega any longer because of the bad food and service.
