In two weeks i returned back to my flat (An American visitor at that time). It took me several years to recover fully. I was and I am a poor man. In leaving the hospital I thought even for me there must be somthing I can do for these fine dedicated people and this hospital. I bought what I belive was the first Telivision and the license for it [A 3 year license and a down payment on any possible repairs to be covered in full]. I still play music(Of course not many like what I do "o-well. I will never forget the Doctors and nurses, nor the spiritual cathorises of that event and recovery. WITH DEEP APRECIATION AND LOVE-SALUTE. I was 24 then. I am 66 now. Handsom loving and healthy!!!!!! I am indebted to the English Health service. God willing one day I shall re-pay you. In all sincerety PEACE LOVE JOY PROSPERITY!

My husband has been under the cardio thoracic team for the past 6 years. The experience he has just…read morereceived from Mr Chuckwemeka's team, namely Jonathan and Dr Macey has been second to none. Treated as part of the team. 5 weeks today, since a prosthetic metal valve replacement after a 7.5hr op and nearly back to normality is a true credit to these guys. Not forgetting the excellent aftercare in CRU as well. Admittedly my husband is a very positive person by nature and takes a huge interest in himself which apparently the team have assured him that this has aided his good recovery. As a visitor I would like to see a couple of improvements with regard to parking meters (please contract a pay by phone service). With such a big hospital it's a long way to get back to your car to feed the meter! Also, the Restaurant should be open longer hours and also on a Sunday when it was impossible to even get a drink! For most people visiting in Hammersmith it becomes a long day out and food and water is key to keeping our stamina up. Finally, the entry to the car park is so horrible and costly if you catch the barriers. Please come up with s better solution. Otherwise on behalf of my husband and I a very well done for such a pleasant experience all round. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

I had horrible experience at Queen Charlotte hospital Lewis Ward. The night staff was rude and…read moreapathetic. They showed no care or empathy to me while I was screaming in pain during my labour and despite asking multiple times, they REFUSED to provide me any pain medication. One of the staff members was Venus and others I do not remember. I was by myself, I kept ringing the bell and asking to assist with pain assistance but they did not budge. Venus would stand there to observe me and then just move out without any compassion or assistance. At the end I was fully dilated and they had to rush me to the labour ward for delivery. My water broke in the corridor in front of waiting patients!! As soon I reached the labour ward my daughter was born within couple of minutes. I had severe pelvic pain and diabetes in pregnancy which was not taken into consideration during my care. My pelvic pain got worse after delivery and it tooks me months to recover. I was so upset and it has taken me months to recover from the trauma of being treated horribly at Lewis Ward. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone!! Absolutely pathetic.

It is also were I had my first sonogram and was able to see her for the first time inside of me. (welling up) Through out my entire pregnancy this hospital was like my second home (along with my local GP) I felt comfortable and in knowing hands. Even during my routine blood tests, were I fainted, they were always very helpful and by the third time they had some sweets handy, just in case. However, I will recommend to those mums to be, that care in the birth centre is so much more specialized and nurturing than in the ward. Of course, that is if you have decided for a natural birth. The midwives are gentle and understand how scary it can be, and they are there from beginning to end, you feel special. They don't let you give up. They are trying to incorporate yoga and visualisation classes as part of the ante natal clinic, which I was a test for, I hope they manage to, I believe it really helps.

And with no memory of the intervening period. Friends and relatives had been scouring London for him. After finding him the police were very helpful and recommended St Charles MHCAS. Thank goodness! They were/are brilliant!!! Apart from physical checks to make sure nothing really awful had happened to him , they reconstructed his persona, got him centred, calmed him down, and after a few more days he looks like restarting at the Art School. Thanks to all the staff for their massive efforts, for the systems that they have and the treatment that they can offer. Absolutely marvellous.

The nurse practitioner I saw scolded me for not having a better handle of my asthma and insinuated that the asthma care I told her that I got from my at home doc was a lie and didn't make sense. I am 100% open to understanding new treatment method, I obviously don't want live in pain. However to scold me in the process is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful when ur patience's is already ill and in a new country. She sent me away with no medication and I am now going on my 4th day with body aches, cough and sinus issue.
