I used to go to Benny's Car Wash at least twice a month. I tried Hammond Aire Auto Spa and fell in love with it. I love the special treatments in cleaning my vehicle and the space in the wash with all the brushes and soaps. There are many people to wipe down the vehicle and go over the inside to make sure that it is clean. I request my air freshener and trash bag and always get what I need. If I see that my vehicle needs more attention, I let the guys know at pickup and they take care of it. I do not leave without inspecting my vehicle. Why would you not let them know what you need them to do before driving away? Tell them what you need, and they will do it. It is that simple! This is a job just like any other job. Learn to be patient with people and talk it out. Black or White. They may still be learning. They have always been kind to me! I am going back tomorrow to get my car detailed. Can't wait! If I could give them 0 stars I would. They did an awful job cleaning the inside of my car and it barely looks like they did anything at all. If you only want your car to be vacuumed and have air freshener in it, then this is the place to go, but apart from that...for $50, I expected better. Go to Benny's instead. read more

Why all the poor reviews?? This place is consistently awesome! I always get a good quality car wash inside and out. The cashiers are friendly and there's always some good, fresh coffee. A few years ago I had accidentally left a couple hundred dollars of cash in my car and went inside to pay, the next thing I know the young man vacuuming my car brings it in to me! If you have tint on your windows DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I went yesterday and when i went to leave the tint was peeling off my windows. Someone named Gene Humphries walked to my car and stated "lady I own the place and have been in business for 33 years, tint just does this". I explanined that being from South Louisiana all of the cars I have ever owned had tint and this had never happened to any previous vehicle with my last car having owned for 10 years. Someone also scratched the tint Gene's reply was "oh that must have been there before becuase we don't use anything that could scratch the tint". If I could give it a "0" stars I would. I feel sorry for the employees if this is the management style of the owner, takes no liability for damage and implies the customer is lying. read more

June 9, 2023. This place use to be great. But, not anymore. I have been going to this place for as long as they have been in business, or for at least 42 years, for me. The Black Ticket write up Guy with the stupid bucket hat on, was so rude to me and treated me like a DOG! There were no cars at the Carwash. Just me. All the other workers were just sitting down, waiting to wipe down the cars that came in. The Black Guy asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted to get my 4-Runner washed and vacuumed and make sure the wheels were cleaned. Then I handed the Black Guy my coupon from Benny's Car Wash. The Black Guy looked at me like I was stupid and said; Benny's is across the street. I just looked at him. I said; I know that and I know where I am. I asked the black guy, Don't y'all use competitors coupons? Again, he looked at me like I was stupid. He said, NO! We do not!! I said; ok. Well y'all use too. Again he asked me what did I want done to my 4-Runner. I told him AGAIN, Wash it, vacuum it and make sure the wheels are clean. So, the Black Guy said that will cost about $49.99. I said, NO, it usually cost around $20 something dollars. Again, he asked me what did I want done. I said, well let me look at the sign. I did not know if it was "The Works" or something else. By this time, another car pulled up. The black guy said; let me go help her. I DON'T THINK SO!!!! Another nice little white guy tried to help me and he said you can get our best deal and it it only $100.00. NOT!!! I asked the nice guy, if that black guy was going to take that car that he walked over to, before he takes me. The guy said I don't really know. I said well if he does, I will go across the street to Benny's. So I went back up to the black guy and I said are you going to take her before me when I've been here way before her, and he said well you didn't know what you wanted and you didn't know what price you wanted to pay so I was writing her up. I said well you better take me now or I'm going across the street!!! Once AGAIN! The Black guy said; well what do you want us to do to your vehicle. I said, JUST WASH IT!!! VACUUM IT!!! AND CLEAN THE WHEELS. Just do the cheapest one. I told him, I did not want to have any of that nasty smelling spray put in my 4-Runner. The black guy said; well, what you are getting does not come with the spray. Really!! For 42 years y'all have been wanting to put that nasty smelling spray in my vehicles. I went inside to pay and was telling the very nice cashier what the guy had been doing to me and how he was treating me. She said she had been getting complaints about him for the last few days. She doesn't know what's wrong with him. She asked if I wanted to talk to the owner or the owners right hand man, Miss Susie. But she said the owner was not there, but Miss Susie was outside. I said, what does Miss Susie look like? She said, she is the only woman outside with the blonde hair. I said, OK I'll talk to her. Well Miss Susie is that rough looking women, but looks like a man and she has been there for years!!! And if she's smiles, I think they would have a earthquake because she has never smiled a day that I've ever been there for 42 years. She looks like she is mad to the world, earrings all over her nose, her ears everywhere and tattoos everywhere. She doesn't even say thank you, how are you doing? Jump up my butt or nothing!! She just looks at you like she wants to kill you. So that's Miss Susie! Oh Lord. OK. The black guy was standing there and I told him not to touch my truck. I did not want him anywhere near my 4-Runner. I told him to get out the way and go write up tickets. Then I told Susie what had happened and how he treated me like a dog and everything that I just said above and she said; oh, I'm sure he didn't mean it, while she was wiping down my truck the whole time, not even making any eye contact with me. So I told them, this will be the last time they will ever see me again. I will go to Benny's or I will go to a drive-through car wash or I will get a heat stroke and wash my truck myself, before I ever step foot in that place again and I would be putting a post on Yelp, which I'm doing now. I went to Albertson's and stayed there about 30 minutes and rode by Hammond Aire Car Wash and they still only had one or two cars there. I hope they close down because they need to shut the place down because they are getting crappy people and they're not very nice and they are very Expensive. The other guys that wipe the cars down and the cashier were the only nice ones there and they did wipe my car down good, because I told them how to do it, but they were doing it good and it was good. So, BYE Hammond Aire!!! After over 42 years you will not have my business anymore. I guess that is why Benny's has so many car washes, because they know how to treat people. It would have only cost me $16.99 at Benny's, instead of $29.99 at Hammond Aire. read more

I must say that my experience could have been a lot better. First, the entire reason I'd gone was to get my floor mats shampooed because I'd spilled something on one of them. After waiting in line for over 15 minutes, I pulled up only to be told that detailing had been shut down for the day since they were shorthanded. A sign stating that would've been nice so I could've pulled out of line and come back another day. Second, the work I did have done was just not very thorough. Each time I've gotten into the car in the 2 days since my visit, I've noticed spots that they missed. The insides of my cup holders weren't touched, there is a ton of dust on the underside of my emergency brake (which was engaged while they were working on it, making that area accessible), my A/C vents are still dusty, the areas between the front seats and the center console still contain dirt and debris, etc. Third, the rags they used left lint all over the place. The windows are covered in lint, and some of the areas where they wiped, like parts of my dash board, are also covered in lint. I think I'll just try the Benny's across the street the next time I need my car cleaned. read more

I was really disappointed in my car detail today. I got the deluxe works or whatever the best option was for about $35 (car price) which isn't bad. Everyone was very friendly and quick, but they missed a ton of spots on my car (see photos.) When I got in the car, it felt really grimes like everything was coated in armor all (maybe that's normal) but also everything was real smudged up. The outside looks good but even the tires don't look great. I'll try Benny's or H2O next time :/ I'll come back here but only for basic stuff. read more

Compared to the "other" local car wash, which is a "conglomerate," Hammond Aire Auto Spa has far greater customer service, from owner to cashier to the actual people who clean your car!! One cleaning tech even apologized to me for the poor service at the "other" place, and guaranteed me he would take care of it! And he did! Upfront about additional services you need that may cost extra, and the service takes as long as it takes to get 'er done. I bet if anyone who got less than 5-star service went back and spoke to them, they'd make it right. Not bad at all on Oil Change Prices, either!! Stop in. Try them. Have a cup o'coffee and visit a spell while you're there. Drive out in a like-new vehicle! read more

This is was the worst carwash I have ever encountered. I asked for the works which is $28.95 that includes vacuum and a wipe down inside. They wiped my dash and that is it. They left 3 dirty towels inside my car, and I had some stuff I had to clean off my bumper and behind my front wheels. I am 7 months pregnant that is the reason I went to this carwash. They always do a great job. Even though it's on the other side of town from me, I am happy to drive past several other car washes to get consistently good service. They have so many attendants wiping down the cars after they come out of the machine, you get the near-equivalent of a detail job even when you just order a standard wash & vac. read more

I have always received good service at the Auto Spa, but the cost of having my CRV washed there has broken my back. I even threw away my ticket that would allow me a free car wash and I had only 2 or 3 car washers to go & I could have gotten my free one. I can't understand why I am paying $49.95 to have which is the price for a SUV, Pick-up, Van, etc. My CRV is way smaller than the above mentioned vehicles. After all CRV stands for Car RV, which means it was set up to be towed behind a RV. If I did own a large Chevrolet Surban, or Dodge Durango, or even a Ford Explore then I would understand. Sorry folks you all have lost a long time customer. In the past I have brought my pick-up, my wife's mini-van and other vehicles which have been larger than the CRV. I did not complain, but now I am. You are ripping people off who own small CRVs or other vehicles like it. read more

Let me start off by saying, I have NEVER written a bad review about any business in my life, but after my experience at Hammond Aire Auto Spa, I definitely feel compelled to at least warn others, so that they don't make the same mistakes as me. So, here's the deal. I brought my car in around 4:00 pm, to have an oil change & wash w/ vacuum. 45 minutes later I returned from shopping in Stein Mart & I paid the ladies inside. Normally, I'll ask for change to tip, but I remember the last time I tipped a guy well and he surely did not deserve it b/c my mats where actually dirtier after I left and other problems were noted as well. So, soon as I got in my car, my ashtray, which I had stocked the day before with a $50 bill was flipped up & of course, MISSING THE $50. So, I go to tell one of the ladies inside & she tells me there's no manager on duty and that there's nothing she can do about it, but another employee (actually the guy who vacuumed my car *raises eyebrows*) walks me over to the owner. At that point, I only told him that my $50 was missing from my car and I felt like he, the owner of this establishment should find it of interest. He all of a sudden gets hostile with me and tells me his managers where the only ones to touch my car and that they would never do anything like that :-/.... Bullshit! I told him, that I wasn't asking for a free oil change, I just wanted him to know. So, then the shady owner, tells me he would check the vacuum container tommorow and would call me if my $50 came up! I told a friend about my experience, he told me that all the employees there (& at Benny's across the street) are straight out of the half-way house. Long story short, don't leave any bills, quarters or dimes (yeah that was missing too) in your car if you take it here. You're better off going to jiffy lube or somewhere you can sit in your vehicle, because if it's pocket size you can kiss it bye-bye! read more

I have been having my cars washed at Hammond Aire for many years Before using Hammond Aire I used Benny's Car Wash, but they always seemed to just push you through and did the bare minimum. job as fast as possible. With Hammond Aire they take their time and go over your car thoroughly both inside and outside. I find when they finish with my car, I am very well pleased. I don't know of anyone else that does as good a job as Hammond Aire. read more

Best detail job of any place I have taken my Harley Davidson show truck. It is black and really hard to get clean, but what a job!!

I've been to this place two times in ten years and both times they managed to cause some major problems. This time they chipped the paint on my brand new truck door panel.
