What a cute dog park! It's small but that was fine for my twin "nephews" since they're a Jack…read moreRussell mix breed / on the smaller side. The park has some tunnels and ramps for cuties to play on. It's locked up nicely - we felt that the boys were safe and secure. We stayed about 20 minutes. (we cleaned up the poop, but apparently others did not - nasty!) We'll visit a few times again before our dog-sitting is over.

Tucked away in a residential area with a backdrop of a wooded area this small dog park was an adequate find. I was hoping there would be other pet owners and their small 4 legged tikes but no luck today. It was only me and the pups. A fenced in dog park with chipped wood as the ground surface area which one of my pups found appetizing. As the photos show its a small dog park that even with a small dogs doesn't have a lot to offer. The pups enjoyed sniffing around the park several times and got exercise as I threw a tennis ball on the elevated slope multiple times. I think larger dogs would not get much out of this park and must be catered more to the medium to smaller dogs due to it small size. Not a great park nor a bad park just an okay park and would recommend for smaller dogs. In addition, if you want your small dog(s) to be socialized, you must come when there are more pet owners here and I am unsure of when that is. Clearly, not mid days on Saturdays....

Plus, it had been a while since I last took her to one. She is well behaved and trained but her being a year and 5 months old (still a baby) she still has energy and loves to play. So, I decided to look for one near the area. She doesn't really have a playmate and I know she can get bored at home with her 2 cat sisters who don't play much with her. I wanted her to have some fun and found this one while searching. She is a Boxer/Pitbull mix. There were 2 others there with their dogs who were playing and running around, but as soon as they saw me coming, they grabbed their dogs and left. I didn't even make it to the gate. No Biggy I just took her for a little 15 min walk and circled back and 2 more dogs where there, again playing and running around, so I took her back in and they also grabbed their dogs and left. She was so excited when she saw them, and the disappointed whining afterwards was just so sad, because of course, she wanted to play and ended up alone. I felt so bad, and she doesn't understand you know, I just couldn't help but assume that they discriminated her. I hope not but I do know it's an issue at times, even though I try not to think of it that way because it usually isn't most times. Like I said she's been to doggy parks before, and usually people are more interactive and nicer. We're all obviously dog lovers but I felt very unwelcomed. Definitely a little weird. Maybe it was an off day, I don't know, either way I don't know if I'll be going back there again. We'll see! Hopefully I can find her a doggy playmate one day.

The park has a double-gated entry. You must use a leash while entering/exiting the park. A maximum of two dogs per adult at one time is allowed inside the park. When other dogs are waiting, they ask that you limit your use to thirty (30) minutes. Owners must remain with their dogs at all times. For me, I use the dog park to allow my dog to run wild, exercise and play catch with me. I also use it for him to socialize with other dogs. However, I don't like dog parks that allow multiple dogs (either does my dog) so the two dog rule is perfect for us. They have dog poop trash cans and bags for animal waste disposable. CONS: A permit is required for use of the park (annual fee is $25) and the rules are quite strict (http://tinyurl.com/mocahjx). For me, this is a PRO because it helps keep out the riff-raff. Though, not sure how many people actually have permits. I would give a 5 star rating but the last time I visited the park I found a few pot-holes in the ground (dog could break a leg). Hopefully the township fixes them soon.

There's apparently a membership you have to buy, too. There's at least one nicer dog park in spitting distance, though maybe this one is helpful if you live in the development.
