We have used this company for several years. They have replaced our garage door key pad three times. All new, they do not work. We have had them come out and adjust the garage door...works for awhile then...does not. They charge every time . Even if it's A 10 minute visit...they charge. We will no longer be using this company for Any of our garage door needs. Over priced and lack of proper knowledge maintenance makes them hard to trust. read more

I have use Hamon for several years for both residential and commercial roll up doors. They have the best service in the Santa Barbara - Buellton area. The technicians are very good and get the job done quickly. My only complaint is the have a very bad phone system that will put you on hold and then just hang up. On a Saturday morning, a spring broke on our garage door, marooning one of our cars in our garage. First thing on Monday I called Hamon Overhead Door, whom we had service our door previously. I was overjoyed when they said they would get a service person out by that afternoon. At around 5:00, I got a call from John Hamon to say that his service person had been delayed on a previous job and that he himself would come instead to fix our door. I reached out to Hamon about an issue with my garage door. At first, they seemed promising. They responded to my inquiry quickly (which was during the weekend) and told me to call their office to schedule an appointment. When I called the office, the answering machine prompts you to press option #2 to leave a message. Whenever I pressed #2 it looped me right back to the main menu, so I was unable to leave a VM. Monday morning I did receive a call from Hamon (probably based off of my Yelp inquiry) and the receptionist said that a technician would be at my house between 10:30am-12:30pm that day. I waited all day and no one ever came out. I called the office multiple times and no one picked up. I also reached out to Hamon via Yelp messaging and asked about what happened. They read the message but never replied. This is a very unprofessional operation and based off of this experience I would not recommend using them. Nor would I ever trust them to work on my garage or even come close to my house. read more

I've called many times, however no one answers and the voicemail is full and not excepting new messages. I followed up another more messages on yelp and J told me that Greg would give me a call. Never heard back from Greg, and Jay has ghosted my inquiries for repair on Yelp since. Maybe you will have better luck than me, but I can't recommend. read more

"Garage door jammin'? Just call Hamon." So I did. The repair person came at the scheduled time and immediately diagnosed a spring break. "He said, I have one of those in my truck." Good news. He came to the front door without a mask. I asked him if he had a mask. He went and got one in his truck: no problem (March 2021). He was courteous, polite, and efficient. Juan Gutierrez is terrific! I called Hamon at 10 am Thursday to make an appointment. She said that a tech was just finishing in AG and she would see if he was available. In 5 minutes she called back to say that he would be here within 20 minutes. Sure enough, Juan Gutierrez in 15 minutes was here at my house in Nipomo. My Liftmaster was worn out. The springs were fine but the motor didn't have enough oomph (kinda like me). On his recommendation, I purchased a Liftmaster with the battery backup. There was no pressure from Juan. He answered my questions and then I decided on the model with the battery backup. I also installed the device that would connect the Homelink in my 2005 Avalon to the Liftmaster. I had to do that because the industry had changed to a new technology in 2009 and the earlier Homelink was not supported. So, having to choose between buying a new car or installing the new Homelink, I went with the Homelink (sorry, dear wife). When Juan was done, everything looked great and worked fine. I highly recommend Hamon. In years past, I have dealt with them when a spring broke. They were always here on time and did a great job. read more
