I have been trying to get repairs done since March of last year. It's been difficult to get anyone to answer the phone, or they show up and then I never hear from them. John answers, comes when he says he will, and then gives you an honest answer. At first he said my job was just too big, and some out of his scope of work. I removed that roofing work, and the others we have broken into 3 days' work. I am thrilled to have things done! Things are done well, and look great, and I even witnessed water rolling off a newly installed windowsill that John had put in days before. Don't laugh, rotten windowsills that don't slope are no good. He is meticulous and honest and fair, and a hard worker. Payment with Venmo is super easy, too. I found John on this yelp app and decided to give him some work. He has replaced four ceiling fans in our home that were 28 years old and the motors were making loud noises. He also reinstalled a bi-fold closet door which has been laying in our hallway for about a year. I didn't remember how it came off but he repaired it easily. His quality is excellent. He lets me know the minute he arrives. His is licensed and insured! This is a major plus for us and the value is there! You cannot hire an electrician to install a ceiling fan for $60 an hour. He has a two hour minimum. If he gets done before two hours we walked around the house and found other things for him to fill that time. We are very happy with his work and will call him in the future when we have more home maintenance work. read more

He was very transparent about the cost of the supplies necessary for the repair (a leak on the roof). Because he has a 2-hour minimum, John recommended I look around the house for other items that may need repair. I called John to fix a leak on my window and I noticed that he's very knowledgeable He takes the time to explain what is the best option there to save money and time ,he answers all your questions, he's responsible, respectful and punctual too!! I had Central Coast Handyman Service come out to do a task that took some woodworking skills, which was no problem for John because he said he's a carpenter by trade. He finished the job really quickly, and since he charges a minimum of 2 hours, he had plenty of time left. So I looked around the house and of course came up with a few more things that needed doing, and he did those for me too -- very flexible. It's great to have those tasks off my to-do list, and the price was very reasonable. I'll keep him in mind in the future when my to-do list starts getting too long again. read more
