He took a look at the roof and gave me a price and repair date of the following afternoon. After we agreed on a price, things changed once he arrived. He added work without gaining approval first. In fact, we had told him in writing that the tenant might ask for more work to be done, but we were not authorizing it. He did it anyway and charged us. He was also not transparent about disposal fees until he was already on site and there wasn't much we could do about it. Not only did he lack transparency, but his overall professionalism was lacking. We had to ask, multiple times for an invoice for our records. The invoice terms stated Net 30 but he began harassing us to pay the invoice via text and email within hours of sending the invoice.

When I called and expressed my frustration that we would have appreciated a heads up they said "that's just how we do things". After the job was completed we didn't get a call to follow up to make sure everything was as discussed, and we had to wait for our invoice to arrive by mail to pay it. This company needs to improve their customer service so clients don't feel left in the dark.

Got the quote and request for deposit within a week. That was in August. Finally the work was done the last week of November. And it was done poorly- uneven and issues near the gate. Workers left old fence segments with nails in them on the ground (and I have dogs). I notified them of my concerns and was told they would be in touch in "early spring". In late October I they just showed up, with no notice, to do the repair. My dogs were going to be out that day and my neighbor notified me that they were working on the fence (I was at work). I wrote an email to voice my concern- no response. I sent a letter (with the balance due) to voice my concern again-no response. But check was cashed. Horrible experience, very disappointed. Hastie used to do good work.
