Overall, a decent hotel if you have a layover in Istanbul and need to be within 10-20 min driving distance from the airport. Beware that trying to get an Uber from this location can be tough because Uber doesn't recognize this location as a Hampton sometimes, but rather by the hotel's old name.
When you enter the hotel, you have to enter through a detector, which seems to be the (sad) norm in Istanbul. But as you enter, you see the hallways are fully stocked with food all hours of the day. They offer a diverse array of food for breakfast, and they also have snacks and drinks during reception hours.
After checking in at the front desk, I was able to get to my room and found complimentary water and a fruit plate. As a diamond member, I was also able to get a complimentary drink and snack from the bar (I went with a bottle of sparkling water and an orange wafer snack).
The room kind of felt like a Hilton Tru hotel, but everything felt just-right space wise. They also had slippers to use, which was fun! I also liked the soap(s) they had in the bathroom.
I even had the chance to use the gym! I ended up going there to use some weights around 10pm, after finishing a complimentary tour of Istanbul through Turkish Airlines. Since no one else was crazy enough to be working out at 10pm on a Wednesday night, it felt nice to feel like I had the space all to myself!
I would stay here again if needed, especially if I have a long layover again. read more
