This place is one of those places that's good just to have a place to keep your things & sleep -- the rooms are definitely more on the "less cozy side" -- might be there harsh fluorescent lighting and dark walls. Jane was super sweet. She called two days before to let us know that there would be a bit of a detour on the freeway nearby. We stayed a night & were running behind on checkout. Very nice hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was greeted very professionally and given a free glass of wine and two bottles of water upon check in. Breakfast was good and they catered lunch in for us as we had a business meeting here with a group of about seventy people. For ~$200 a night, we saw a live cockroach in our room and one of the staff could work on his customer service skills. I asked if there was any shaving cream and the front desk's reply was "Do you even stay here?". I gave my room number and he asked if I wanted it charged to the room. I asked for the price, which he replied $3.50. I remember there was a sign (like most hotels) that offer free amenities if you forget something. I went back to my room (in case I misremembered), took a picture of the sign, and asked if the amenity policy was still in effect. I got my shaving cream with a quick 'Sorry'. I'm not sure if he was new, badly trained, or just didn't care, but this left me with a really bad impression. read more

Jane, the afternoon front desk manager and Brandon, the morning desk manager, were both extremely friendly and helpful. The only issue we had is the frontage road was under construction when we stayed there which made access a little challenging. Once that's done, easy access should be restored. read more

This was the filthiest hotel and worst experience. Our room (418) had dead bugs in the light fixtures and stuck to the walls, live bugs, thick dust on everything and mold spots on the ceiling. We were moved to a slightly less disgusting room (318) at 2am. If we could have left we would have. There were no rooms available at any other hotel. We canceled our second night stay at the Hampton and were able to find a B&B in Fredericksburg. We sent pictures to the manager of bites my daughter obtained and the roach in the bathroom. She was the rudest and most unprofessional person I have spoken to in a very long time. She refused to remove the $269 room charge. She said that they'd be "out the money" to check for bed bugs and the roach was just a "water bug" and "common" and "doesn't bite". read more

Horrible customer service. Our power and water had been out for 2 days due to winter storm. I was so thankful to be able to book a room through Hotels.com and received a confirmation email. We were looking forward to finally being able to shower. When I walked in I was immediately told by the front desk lady that they were booked for the night. I showed my confirmation email and she sneered "Well I don't know why they would do that we've been booked since the morning". Not even trying to be accommodating just a nope we're full BYE type of treatment. Contacted Hotels.com and they were confused that hotel confirmed on their end but they called and spoke to the front desk and were told the same thing. Something was off and I definitely feel like our room was given away. Thankfully we live in Boerne and didn't have to drive too far to get back home. I would never want to come back here. Given that funeral services lured us to Boerne, we weren't exactly anticipating a glorious fun-filled time. The fiance's sister booked this place for us based on its close proximity to the funeral home and other family members and we were all just hoping for a seamless and comfortable stay. Now Hampton Inn isn't necessarily known for being a luxurious or OMG amazing, but it was pretty darn consistent and hassle-free experience. Our room was seemingly clean, stocked with clean towels and Neutrogena toiletries, and sans any funky aromas. It was quiet at night and evidently the heated pool drew in some of the kiddos in our group. Sadly, I believe it's socially unacceptable for adults to leisure swim about in their pajamas, so I was content to catch up on my YouTube watching. Is that really all that's necessary for four stars these days? Okay fine, additionally, the free internet was darn convenient, although I had to re-login a few times during an hour session. Furthermore, the complimentary breakfast offered bagels, peanut butter, and fruit (seemingly mostly of canned origins) - something for me, hurray! Oh yes, there's also bland oatmeal, cooked up with strictly water, but you can add milk, fruit, almonds, and sugar. And if you're above complimentary hotel breakfast, there's a Taco Cabana, Starbucks, HEB, and other such fine familiar establishments nearby. Furthermore, staff was pretty darn friendly and available. Yep, definitely a pleasant hotel stay in spite of the unpleasant circumstances. read more

Very accommodating. The heater/ac unit didn't work in the first room given. After calling in, the lady at the front desk said she would give a different room. She personally went to that second room and made sure the heater/ac unit worked before delivering us the key. She was extremely helpful and had the answers!! Comfy beds. Hot water. My husband and I got away for a mini honeymoon. The hotel is like brand new and they promote being GREEN!!! Yay for them. Room was on the 4th floor with a nice view of Boerne and the hills beyond. Since we checked in on Thanksgiving, not much was open but the nice guy at the desk suggested we drive around and look at the town, but would end up at Whataburger (he was right). The breakfast they provide was pretty good. We had hot and cold options (scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle station, cereal, oatmeal, and all the pastries). The coffee was really good. The best part is that they use TaterWare...the plates and forks were made from plants! They had green signs everywhere encouraging the guests to take care of mother earth. There were no telephone books in the rooms but had one at the front desk. They had a note explaining how many trees they save by just having the one. Overall a very nice stay. The only down was the two trash bags that sat in the elevator lobby for the whole stay. Not sure if they were short staffed in housekeeping or what? Nice place. read more

Was harassed about my ADA Service Dogs by the two ladies at the front desk. In front of a room full of people eating breakfast she asked me what my medical condition was that I needed a service dog. I tried to explain to her that she can ask two questions. If they were Service Dogs and what task they perform. She still demanded to know my medical condition that required it. Forcing me to state in a room full of people what mine and my sons medical conditions were. I was in tears. My dog barked once to alert and placed her paws on my leg. The receptionist tried to say the dog was being disruptive. I tired to explain why she alerted. I was having an flair up of MS and she was altering to my anxiety caused by her. The staff was very rude. I had to leave breakfast and go back to my room. Of course there was no manager to be found. They refused to give me any more cooperate information. Now my son whom is autistic is very upset. My whole trip to this town is dampened. read more

A newer hotel located right off IH 10 near a chili's restaurant and a Whataburger. Our experience was hassle free which is always nice and we got free cookies upon our arrival. Pros: continental breakfast, easy access to highway, gas, and food, neutrogena toiletries, updated pool area, nice staff, clean, HBO, free ice and wifi. Cons: hard bed, flimsy pillows, very slow wifi (cannot stream), and heater not calibrated correctly. Overall, a good value hotel to stop for a night as long as you don't mind the bed. read more

We got there around midnight, so we were obviously in dire need of a room. Maybe that's why we were only offered one of their "smoking rooms". I can tolerate cigarette smoke, but it was very nasty. The clothes in my suitcase smelled like the bottom of an ashtray a week later and I kept my suitcase closed and zipped up with only an exception or two. I woke up to people fighting next door and I was wearing ear plugs. The clerk had no personality at all. The worst part? We were charged over $200 for this dive. We often stay at this Hampton on our way back from our West Texas business trips. Tonight, when we pulled up to the hotel, the front desk clerk, Jocelyn, greeted us at the doors and asked if we needed a cart, which we did. She immediately pulled a cart out and asked if we needed help loading it! We told her we were good and she returned to the front desk. As she was checking us in, she confirmed our room type and I asked for a room upgrade. She gave us a huge smile and told us she absolutely had an upgraded room for us. She was so sweet! She offered us wine and asked if we needed anything else and we went up to our room. When my husband took the cart back down, she immediately asked him how we liked our room. Later, my husband came downstairs looking for some plastic glasses so we could have a beverage in our room. Jocelyn, ever accommodating, found us some cups. I cannot ever remember a hotel employee greeting us at the door and offering a cart. Jocelyn is one of those hotel employees that is a model customer service dream. I hope her management rewards her as she made our night after a long drive in! read more

This Hampton is nearly brand spanking new, and the rates can't be beat! I booked the huge king size suite for about 80$/night. The room was huge! Everything was in good repair and very clean. I did think it was funny that the front desk staff has to remind all their guests that the hotel is pet free and non smoking! Guess they get a lot of travelers through there who aren't used to those sorts of rules. There is a great Thai place just across the highway as well as an HEB grocery store. It was the best location for a Hilton chain hotel in proximity to Bandera Texas. I would definitely stay there again! read more

I'm generally not a chain hotel person and I have never stayed at a Hampton before, but I was very impressed with this hotel. We stayed here for a wedding and our family pretty much took over the place. We all gathered by the pool (which is awesome with plenty of lounge chairs, a fireplace, a cabana, and waterfalls in the pool) on Friday, bringing down several coolers of beer. I thought the management would dissaprove (given the big "no glass" and "no alcohol" signs) but they simply asked if we needed cups, coolers and ice, which they brought to us. The rooms were spacious with a desk and pull out sofa, small fridge and microwave (for the $10 upgrade suit you also get a wet bar). The beds were really comfortable, the business center internet was free, the free breafast was tasty and had some hot extras not normally found on a continental buffet (omelets, french toast sticks, waffles) and the fitness center was adequately outfitted. For $100 a night, this is a great place to stay in Texas hill country. read more

So, we randomly stopped in here a few years ago on a road trip. Just a relatively cheap place to stay. Then we walk out to the pool with the kids and they all start screaming. It has a rock formation with fire, and fountains, and great lighting, and a fireplace, and ...it was like a resort! And, it's heated! It was just one of those really pleasant surprises when you pay for one thing and you really get more. So, fast forward to this past weekend. It was my son's seventh birthday and he just loves hotels. He actually is most impressed with mid-level places like this because they serve breakfast, and there is a cereal turnstile with all of the sugary cereal he does not get at home. So he just loves these kinds of places and for his birthday this year we asked if instead of a birthday party he would like to take a family trip to a hotel - because, you know, it's like the same price without the hassle. And of course he jumps on it and this is the first place he thinks of. And then my parents and sister decide to meet us there so it ends up being really cool. And then ... the service. Nickie, who works for the front desk, would have bumped this place up to six or perhaps even seven stars if that were possible. First, she was super cool, funny and personable from the start. And then I'd call down with some random requests and she would go searching and bend over backwards to make it happen - more than I expected, for sure. Then, it was this super windy night and the fire was not on at the pool. The service guys probably decided to just forget about it before they went home because (1) it was so windy and (2) there were very few people there on such a cold night. Potential disaster! What are we going to do in a pool if there is no fire!? But, of course, Nickie comes to the rescue, grabs a lighter, and personally climbs up on the rock formations and lights all the fires and the fireplace, etc. Then she finds out we are there for my son's birthday. So when we all come shivering into the lobby, she has made a whole party table set up with hot chocolate for all five of the kids, along with little snacks and party favors, and anything you can throw together to make this kind of scene on the fly in a Hampton Inn. In the end, my son had an incredible birthday and Nickie had a big hand in it, which of course, is way above and beyond the call of duty. She is one of those people who is just made for the industry she is in. read more

We were welcomed by Clay at the front desk, he was very helpful and kind. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable which is my husband and I most picky quality in a hotel room. The pillows on the other hand, not comfortable at all. Make sure you bring your own pillows if you can. Breakfast was very good and you could tell that the lady making breakfast was very happy to do so which was a nice change. Most of the staff making breakfast at hotels just go about their business like they just want to hurry up and get off work but this lady was speaking to people and helping them find things and always smiling and happy. read more

Pretty, great location, lovely interior. The lady who checked us in, I believe her name was Nikki, was what every person working in a customer service job should be. She was bright, funny, helpful and full of useful information. I wish I could clone her and spread her around to other places. Bed was comfy, room spacious. I will say the bathroom was a bit of a terror. It was nicely sized but the tile floor has mislaid tiles that stubbed my toes. The tub was narrow and flexible plastic with a lean toward the drain so my feet never felt firmly planted but rather slipping like I was going to fall. Not a fan. Thankfully I only needed it once. It's also way too small for a reasonable person to take an actual bath in. If not for this I would have given a 5 star review. Breakfast was well stocked and had something for everyone. read more

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. While there was no continental breakfast due to the COVID thing, they did provide a nice to-go bag to tide us over. The only drawback to our stay here was the road construction that forces you to drive a long way out of your way when leaving and presents a little maze to go through to get there.
