Solid Hampton Inn experience, no suite for me I guess. Tehehe I wasn't expecting much so the goodness that ensued was extremely welcomed. Stopped on a whim just because I was tired of driving. McComb MS. People actually live here. Check in was fast and easy. Dude did grill me like a cop about where I was headed and where I had been. At first I was annoyed, then I realized he was just being nice. Good kid. His name is Miguel I believe. I know a lot about that dude now, but if you meet him, I'm sure he will tell you too. This place had the most comfortable bed outside of my own that I have slept in this year. Pillows were glorious too! Room was nice and comfy. AC was nice level sound wise. Towels, linens, room all clean no nasties hiding that I found. All in all good job room wise. Breakfast was just almost edible. Classic booosheet hotel breakfast. Blah. Blah. Blah. My husband and I were visiting family in the area and stayed here Christmas night. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our room was spotless. The only noise we heard was from the freeway (it was minimal), and the hotel is located in a prime area - several restaurants and things to do are within minutes. My cousin mentioned the hotel allowed smoking since one of her friends loved to smoke in her room, but I can assure you that was a LONG time ago. I was initially concerned since my husband is allergic. The entire hotel is nonsmoking, and I couldn't pick up on any hint of cigarette smoke (I have a very sensitive nose). We got a solid night's sleep and woke up extremely refreshed (Hampton beds are the BEST). Our room was quite spacious, and we didn't feel crammed at all (it was the king sofa bed studio suite). My parents stayed down the hall from us and enjoyed their experience as well. They also commented on how nice and quiet the hotel was, and we all agreed we will definitely be back next time we're in to visit family. read more

The best hotel experience I've had in years. The facility is clean and in good repair. Hampton beds are always very comfy. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was the best free hotel breakfast I've ever encountered with many options and good food. Southern hospitality at its best! I know where I'll stay the next time I'm in McComb, MS. read more

4 stars cuz this Hampton usually be skrong wit da manager's specials on week nights wit da beer and pizza and shit. But wussies beware, they got a lot of construction roughnecks that will drink yo ass under the table, so you may be able to sneak a micky ultra if you get there early. Always clean, they've recently had a remodel to the lower floor entrance and dining area. Looks pretty nice, but no additional updates to the living quarters. This past time more than 1 floor was without hot water throughout the 2 night stay, but I was not affected. Thus my review is 4 stars and theirs is probably less. Strong shoutout to the breakfast lady! If you get up i time to have breakfast, she will go out of her way to make sure you have what you need! Side note, if you're an alcoholic, it's just a short walk away from a Mexican joint for the Rita's and a cowboy joint called Santa Fe, u can get sideways without even cranking a car. Photo of our attempt at blocking the permanent night light that is conveniently placed across from a large mirror facing the bed. It's a nice topper to the 2 broken toilets (we have 2 rooms), crazy water pressure issue (loud gurgling voids mixed with violently shooting a cup out of my hand), broken hot tub, dirty pool (teenagers came up after 5 min due to "lots of hair & floaters"), insect crawling in our bed, crap pillows & uncomfortable mattress, 2 ton comforter, stagnant air, and someone deciding to "remodel" the room next to us at 3AM (lots of shuffling in the hallway, door opening & closing repeatedly, unwrapping something wrapped in heavy plastic, etc). Side note, the staff has been extremely friendly and professional! They are definitely the glue holding this mediocre hotel together. The general appearance of the hotel & rooms feels clean and well kept as well. Hate to sound nit-picky. There were just a handful of things that seemed to stack up over a short period of time. Honestly, I could look past a lot of it if I wasn't up in the middle of the night unable to sleep due to the above. read more

I stayed at this location for two nights recently. The facility was very clean. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was your standard hotel, hot breakfast. There were waffles, oatmeal, biscuits, eggs, sausage, fruit, and cold cereal too. If you get the Hilton hotel honors app, you can get a discount on room rates. I would stay here again. read more

Great hotel....looks like they just did a remodel....staff so friendly and helpful. So very clean and a Mexican restaurant connected to their driveway so you don't have to get back in the car for dinner. It was a terrific stop for our trip to the beach. read more

We've stayed here last night and 4 weeks before. Friendly staff always greets us at the front desk. Clean bedroom and bathrooms. You can smell the Clorox and everything you need is available. The morning free breakfast is outstanding for all in your party. Eggs with cheese, turkey sausage links, biscuit. Waffle mix easy to make in their electric waffle maker. Oatmeal, assorted muffins, cereal, milk, coffee etc.... Love the nice friendly and helpful lady that service their breakfast. Definitely recommend this place. Seems like the more I stay here the more disappointed I get ... this is definitely the last time I pick this location for a stay! Room was dirty, had to clean shower myself (not the first time I had to do this) Towels ripped - should never get a ripped towel in a room, just unprofessional. read more

I basically lived here for 18 weeks...work trip back and forth. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean but in need of updating. Loved the reception in the lobby 2 nights a week...beer and usually a quick dinner of pizza or sandwiches. Breakfast is very typical hotel buffet options. This was a terrific stay-clean, inviting, and has all the extras. This is one of our top five stays in a hotel, and we are picky. Things we noticed that we liked/wanted/needed: Clean, up to date, friendly staff, disability friendly, pool, great coffee, excellent breakfast (even for the pickiest eaters), ice cold air conditioning, great beds and pillows, plenty of towels, bath amenities supplied (neutrogena soaps), in-room coffee, frig, flat screen tv, clean room overall, quiet--do not hear others in hall, and just overall great stay. We cannot think of anything we would change or add. We've paid more than twice this for a stay comparable to this one. Not sure why the negative reviews previously--this Hampton has made great improvements since then, evidently. read more
