Worst hotel ever. Don't come we came in on a Sunday and on Monday we had our company van break into. They broke our passenger window and took all of our teams tools. There's a lot of homeless around the area fence next to hotel is broken you can see razes by the fence in the back. Front feet says there is security but it didn't seem like it. Cámaras are only pointing thru the pool and doors nine face the the parking lot. Spoke to people around the area and was told they are known for breaks in. Won't recommend this place.

Old and broken chairs and umbrellas.

Sadly, this hotel should not hold the Hilton/Hampton name. The breakfast was a joke. No fruit, yogurt, or any type of meat/protein to this free hot breakfast. The bathroom was in need of a deep cleaning. The pool and hot tub were my greatest let down. My husband called to confirm that they had a hot tub because that's the one thing I asked for. There were so many hazards. If not careful, people can get hurt. The hot tub didn't even work. I saw torn and unkempt chairs. There was an exposed electrical box from the electrical chair for the handicapped. I most definitely will NOT be returning. The only reason they got 2 stars is due to the friendly staff.

Empty pool and dirty spa.

Sadly, we're going to have to look for another hotel in Merced. The pool and spa have been closed for a while. I don't think there are plans to fix either anytime soon. Breakfast was dismal. At 9am out of milk, butter, whipped cream. No oatmeal. No orange juice.

2nd bathroom. Not much better

First time at a Hamptons/Hilton hotel, bathroom ceiling and walls had mold. Requested to have my room changed. 2nd room, just a tad bit better, bathroom ceiling bubbles and looks just gross. The plus side, I had the gym to myself, which they kept pretty clean and breakfast was pretty decent on the 2nd morning, not so much the 1st. However, will be avoiding this hotel in the future.

Theft from hotel parking lot

Worse stay ever! They broke into multiple vehicles(mine included)in the parking lot and heard from other guests it's a common theme there. This place is more of a motel than a hotel! Worse Hampton inn ever! Oh , and their cameras don't even cover majority of the parking lot. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there! Find a better hotel with better staffing and security.

Front clerk failed to mention: When you arrive you may get mixed up seeing two black doors locked go around the corner on Main Street no sign to tell you that. Parking is free on 18th street very easy walk. WiFi is free no password needed. There is a gym on site. Choose "Main Street king" bed huge difference if you pick queen bed tiny room. $20 dollar difference worth it. Wine bar next door is great but you can purchase wine at the hotel cafe much cheaper. I kept going back to the wine bar next door really cool place and people. Try lovers deli for pizza or killer sandwiches walking distance. Great coffee and breakfast at hola cafe across from deli kinda. Enjoy

The structure looks very sketchy anyway. We enjoyed our stay, there's no pool or hot tub, but there's a gym & an outdoor quad area. Lots of things walking distance like this nice little juice bar called kind neighborhood juice bar. I got to try some tasty smoothies that have a lot of great benefits. The hotel feels like it's a man's hotel because of the dark colors like dark forest green with black. The shower threw me off because it has only one door and it doesn't slide over so you have an open side to the shower so water is getting out as your showering, I love the colors in the bathroom though. They have FREE coffee in the room you just steep in your mug like a tea bag. Inside they also have an electric kettle for hot water. I like that they have ice and water on the 3rd floor. Best croissants around here are mankley's donuts. Best coffee is Hola Cafe. Cute little town of Merced.

We stayed here in June and experienced harassing and intimidating behavior by staff. Management response was limited. I am listing the more egregious issues here. We had connecting rooms and no door stoppers, the rooms did not have key access to one another so when the door closed unexpectedly, we got locked out. It was early morning so the door latch was still on from night before. I was in the connecting room with my kids when the Maintenance man opened the door. He notified us by swinging the connecting room doors open twice without knocking. I was surprised because we hadn't gotten an ETA for resolution but super grateful and in a rush. I said thank you, thinking thatd be it. Turns out it wasn't. The maintenance man had to be pushed out of my door way because he had been told by the "manager" Priscilla that I was "pressuring them" when I called to ask for a time estimate for the service so I could get my kids morning medicine & other belongings or make other plans. The maintenance man stood in front of my door, looking at me intensely, and said "it's her ? She's the one pressuring us? We don't have to do this (unlock the door).." I said thank you several times before realizing what was happening then told him I didn't pay to argue as I was pushing the door he was blocking to get him out my room. Priscilla was in the hallway and asked if I had gotten corporates number then Scoffed when I said no. He didn't budge until I put my phone up. I wasn't sure if I was going to record or call 911. I notified management and corporate by email, informing them every detail and that there was also a sink not working since our arrival the previous night but I was uncomfortable getting it fixed without coordinating w management first. I was so uncomfortable, I didn't want anyone in my room, I was uncomfortable that they had access to my room (and personal information). Despite my request to coordinate the fix, They sent housekeeping without notice. While housekeeping was in the room, I also received a call from Priscilla who informed me not to email mgmt but only ask for support at the desk. I told her I didn't feel comfortable, and she proceeded to argue that she had been "realllyyy nice to me" then hang up abruptly after I told her this conversation was inappropriate. We didn't get a response from management until we had decided to check out a day early later that evening. And it confirmed our decision to do so. There was no reassurance that we'd be left alone, but an offer to a free dinner at the restaurant in the same lobby as where Priscilla worked. It was incredibly insulting and there was no way I trusted a meal from this place. Upon checkout we also found that communication to the later staff had been that we had refused service, implying we were being difficult, not that the staff was being inappropriate and unprofessional. Marriott is a hospitality company but this experience was so below the bar I am still shocked and uncomfortable. I wasn't looking to be wowed, just not end up entirely disturbed. They could have just *not*, but it seemed that they went out of this way to create this experience. While we received a refund and a case closure email citing the free meal, the experience was still not okay and I don't think it's been or will be resolved at this point. I'm still shaken weeks later. Can't imagine what could have happened if I were alone in this case, shorter or more timid. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

The front desk was extremely short staffed with one person trying to check-in four parties, and the check in process took a long time, mainly spent waiting in line. Our room was not cleaned yet, so we went to an early dinner. When we came back after a leisurely meal, the room was ready but lacked a refrigerator, requiring us to move to a new room next door. My sister pulled the bedspread back, sat down, and immediately started itching. There were short black hairs all over the bottom sheet; my sister has long, blonde hair. We notified the front office, and they immediately sent housekeeping out to change the sheets. It took several hours for the room to cool down, even with the air conditioner cranked up as high as possible. The barn bathroom door did not close all the way, which was unfortunate as we had three people sharing the room. (We're sisters, but come on... some things are private.) Additionally this second room had no towels, and the bathtub was absolutely filthy with black marks all over the bottom sheet. There was no fire alarm in the room. I requested a call from the hotel manager as he/she was not available when we checked out. A woman called me later, saying she was a manager. She told me that our $120 stay would be refunded; (Unfortunately, I did not write down her name.) I also received an email from Kay Dhaliwal (Manager) which did not mention any refund but acknowledged my concerns and thanked me for my feedback. Days Inn did indeed refund me $120, but then charged me $120 TWICE on my card. Since I have nothing in writing documenting the promised refund from the property, I have no further recourse other than to leave reviews. I sent an email back to Ms. Dhaliwal requesting a follow up on the promised refund, but have not received any response. DO NOT RECOMMEND! DIRTY! Poor management and housekeeping!

We were towing a trailer and given permission to park along several spaces since they had many rooms empty for the night. Our room was quite clean. Nothing to report out of line. The worst of it was the air filter for the air conditioner smelled of cigarette smoke. Thankfully, we had a can of air freshener and just hosed it. Overall, the place wasn't bad. The people in the neighboring room left me wondering if they were trying to sell drugs out of the parking lot. Every time we stepped out, there was anywhere from one to three people at the back of their vehicle. Traffic noise wasn't bad. Actually, there was little to no freeway noise and it was far enough from the city Street that you didn't really hear much go by. Would I stay here again? Probably.

Apparently this company is like so many other American companies these days: they love to take your money, but their overarching goal is to give the customer as little as possible in exchange, including little (if any) pride in workmanship or service. The one positive thing I *can* say about this place is that the entire front desk staff, with the exception of one young man who referred to me as "boss," was very nice; however, if you need to reach the front desk from your room, good luck getting them to pick up. (Note to all young men: as I have no employees, nor any DNA test telling me otherwise, I am neither your "boss" nor your "bro". Therefore, please do not refer to me as such, because it's *very* unprofessional and disrespectful.) As for the facility: there was a burned hole in my sheet (the maids can't see a hole 8" from the upper left corner of a fitted sheet when they make a bed? really??), forcing me to sleep on a washcloth because the edges of the burned area were hard and crusty and were scratching against my back. The left end of the towel rack in bathroom was very visibly lower than the right side (are towel racks really so tricky nowadays that they can make their installer look like he's working under the influence?). Paint on bathroom wall & ceiling was peeling--A LOT. No stopper in sink. The breakfast bar was understocked a full half hour before it was supposed to close. And when I came back to my room at 2:30pm, the maid was still cleaning the room 3 doors down from mine (she never even bothered to knock to *see* if I wanted my room serviced--that means no clean towels, no *nothing*; and no, I did *not* have the "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging outside). Now, I realize no one from corporate, nor the franchisee of this property, gives a damn about what I've said here because all this could have easily been prevented or corrected before I was assigned my room... IF they took any pride in their product (which is why I didn't bother reporting it to management--if *anyone* knows about the lousy shape this building's in, they do; obviously, no one cares ). So I kinda think of this review as my equivalent of the free night's stay (I only stayed 2 nights) I deserved but would never have gotten had I complained to management (because I've dealt with these kinds of people before---I'm on vacation, and I'm simply not going to waste my time getting upset with people who care less about their product than I do). I believe this is the first time I've ever stayed at a Quality Inn; and I'm not anxious to repeat the experience. "Quality" comes in levels, and this "quality" was right down there with Motel 6. They should really change their name to "Good Luck Inn," because the "quality" you're going to get is a complete crapshoot (unless, of course, this is typical of *all* their properties, in which case they should just change their name to Motel 6 and be done with it). Makes me glad I can't afford to go on vacation more than I do.
