As I went to write this, I noticed that I am not the only person who has had this issue... they do NOT CLEAN the PET DANDER from rooms... Then on top of it, they are unhelpful in resolving this. WHY is the entire hotel "pet friendly" (and as such all the rooms have pet dander)??? I totally understand wanting to accommodate people who travel with pets, but to have this happen in EVERY room is crazy. I had a horrible experience where I couldn't sleep (due to difficulty breathing from severe pet allergies) and couldn't leave because my kids were sleeping soundly. I tried to get a refund and was told to contact the manager. I left him a voicemail and never heard back. I am currently waiting to get this fixed by Hilton.com people. STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANY PET ALLERGIES... apparently the beds are full of cat and/or dog dander and the staff won't do anything to help you out. read more

Got to the hotel around at 10:30 PM after a long flight to Memphis. The staff was super friendly. I noted on my reservation that I suffer from allergies and would like to be placed in a non-pet friendly room. I brought my wipes to wipe down the room and spray with Lysol. stopped at the nearby Walmart on my way in. The chair to the desk was heavily soiled. tried to call the front desk neither phone worked. It was storming outside. I was so tired from the long day showered. I was glad I had two beds because the first one was not fresh. Pulled back the covers looked like someone had already slept in the bed. Sheets dingy and you tell they had not been changed. Second bed was ok. The carpet needed cleaning After being there for about an hour I begin itching itching itching. I knew then I was dealing with pet dander. It stormed seemed all night. Next morning, figured out both phones were unplugged from the wall. I had little fine bumps all over like a heat rash. Suggest have rooms that are non pet friendly for people who suffer from allergies. Remove soiled furniture, clean the carpet and make sure all beds are changed after each stay. They said they didn't have any rooms but when I got there and talked to the front counter lady, they did have a room and it was exactly what we wanted. Loved our stay. The King room w/sofa was large & decorated nicely. Everything was clean & kept up. The front staff both evening & morning were friendly & inviting. Great coffee in the lobby until 9pm. Complimentary bottled water was appreciated. Bed comfortable was comfortable, pillows was ok. Breakfast service was excellent. Lots of choices, eggs, ham, sausage, Belgium waffles, danish, fruit, oatmeal & toppings, yogurt, cereals, juices & I'm sure I've missed something. The 2 breakfast hostesses were great. Hampton Inns and Suites in Millington, TN is a fantastic hotel to stay at if you are in the area! I was in Millington for a few days for work and I'm glad I had an opportunity to stay here. From the get go, I was welcomed with a smile from Donna at the front desk at about 9pm. She checked me into my room quickly and added my Hilton Membership to my room. At the front seat, they also give you fresh cookies so that was a nice treat. I went up to my room on the 3rd floor (4 floors max) and entered into my two queen beds room. The room was very clean and well organized. There were several outlets, lights, and towels. The housekeeper made a shirt and tie design out of the towels in the bathroom which was a nice touch. The hotel was very quiet overall and there are both firm and soft pillows on the beds. For the morning, they serve a continental breakfast which was pretty nice. You could have scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruits and more. Very satisfying! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Millington, TN. This will be the hotel that I choose when I'm in town. read more

I stayed here for nearly a month while I was on orders for the Navy. Great place. The room I got was really nice and cozy with a king sized bed and a small kitchenette. The staff are always kind and the rooms are always clean. One of my favorite things about staying here is the breakfast. Everyday they had something I enjoyed. Their omelets are my personal favorite. I would also grab a couple pieces of bread, peanut butter and jelly for a pb&j that's I'd eat for lunch everyday. Overall, I've enjoyed my stays here. Unfortunately, it'll be a while before I make it back there since I recently went active duty and will no longer be drilling in Millington with the Navy Reserve. But if you are looking for a place to stay in Millington you can't go wrong with Hampton Inns and Suites. Give them a try! read more

Great all around. Room is comfortable. The upkeep is impeccable and the staff were super nice. The location (far off the highway) is quiet and walkable to a steak restaurant and a burger place. My room was a mini suite, cheaper than the per diem for the area. The Hampton is definitely nicer than the Navy gateway inn with a better breakfast. Plus they have a managers reception weekdays. Bud lite and wine. Woo hoo. If your business takes you to Millington. Stay at Hampton inns. Best place in Millington by far. read more

They charged our card multiple time for the same price that we had already paid since we are Hilton honors card holders when booked a paid in advance got to the hotel and they were telling us we didn't pay called customer service they even confirmed that we already paid in full for our stay. we got tired of the absolutely rude employee that we ended up not staying and they continued to charge our card the next morning 3 more times for the amount we already paid for a room when ended up not even staying in. read more

The room was clean and spacious, the staff was welcoming, and helpful when I came in the hotel at 10:30 PM and asked about food (not only was I given a few options, but also was given a list of coupons to use). I'm a fan of Hampton Inns and very rarely have issues. This is the hotel that has turned me into a middle-class hotel snob. The decor is always updated and clean, the rooms spacious, linens clean, and the staff know how to do what needs to be done with a minimum of fuss. We were in a King suite with fold-out sofa bed. It was pretty comfortable. We thought the towel swans were a nice touch. After our first night, we left the hotel at 10 am and did not return until after 4 pm. When we got back we noticed our room had not had any housekeeping service. We were relaxing in our room and getting prepared to go to dinner when the maid knocked on our door asking if we wanted service. I told her no because we had just gotten back and were taking showers, getting dressed, etc., but I did ask for a few towels. I'm not sure why our room wasn't cleaned between 10 and 4, especially since check in is at 3 pm in that hotel. It didn't inconvenience us too much except there were only two small trash cans and we had them overflowing by the time we left the next day. I didn't check out the pool area on this visit so unfortunately can't comment on that. It looked a little smaller compared to other Hampton pools though. Breakfast was as expected for a Hampton. In this one I would avoid the biscuits & gravy. Well, the gravy anyway. The eggs were fluffy and light, and the rest of the spread was abundant. There was zucchini bread in the bread case that I probably would have mugged someone for. It was delicious and disappeared pretty quickly in the mornings. Very spacious breakfast area adjacent to a nice, open lobby area with some cushy chairs & sofas. Very comfortable. Nice touch, Hampton. read more

We have always enjoyed Hampton Properties until Millington. Our Stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Millington. ZERO STARS! My Wife pre-booked the stay with points from her Bank of America Credit Card. BOA verified payment was made two days prior to our arrival. She gave her card to the receptionist at check in for incidentals. At Check out she was charged FULL Price for the Room. Bank of America travel spoke with the Assistant manager and he was unwilling to accept responsibility for his mistake. BOA had to return our points because Mr. Patel could only blame everyone else! Gotta add to my review. This place generally "rocks" as to service. I forgot a new pair of slacks when I checked out last visit. Called them when arrived home. They said no problem; found them and said they would ship them to me. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for service as the place to stay in Millington. Enjoyed our two week stay, staff was great, breakfast was great, Tuesday and Wednesday night complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby was also great. A quiet location with two nice restaurants within walking distance. Communicating with housekeeping was a little challenging at times and the last morning a man from housekeeping walked in the room without knocking, I guess he assumed we had already checked out? He apologized but in the future, suggest he knock first as a precaution. Fortunately, I was fully dressed at the time. This was the only negative thing to say, other than that everything was great! This was the first Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. It was incredibly clean, tidy, and provided great customer service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is on point. It's fresh and I was very pleased with the selection (eggs/omelets, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, make-your-own waffles, cereal, pastries, bagels, fruit juice, coffee, fresh fruit, sausage or bacon). There's also a bagged breakfast for those on the go. Fresh cookies at the front desk every night if you're looking for a sweet treat. The exercise room was sufficient- a bit small if you had more than two people in there. And one of the treadmills didn't function entirely (it wouldn't incline). The on site laundry was the biggest let down- front loader washer and dryer ($2 per wash/dry). The washer did not spin all the water out of the clothes. I'm not entirely sure it even rinsed the clothes, because they were sopping wet and soapy. I did three loads, all different sizes, tried a couple of different settings- same result- wet and soapy. it took two hours to dry the clothes I was forced to wring out by hand. A HUGE pain for someone who is staying for a couple of weeks and needs some washing done. I had to hang dry many items, which works too. The rooms were super clean, I always had tons of towels- great mid-level hotel for short or long term stays. I'd stay there again. read more

I was surprisingly impressed by this hotel. The hotel itself is fine- the rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the lobby, and the furniture and carpeting are in good condition, although they seem a bit dated. It's the little touches that make this hotel special. First, my room was SO CLEAN. I was really impressed by the maid service- it was clear they took care to make sure the bathrooms, bed, etc were spotless every day. The towels were very artfully arranged every day, too- I don't usually care about things like that, but at this hotel these little flourishes seemed particularly artistic. Second, they have funny little pictures and slogans on the elevators and key cards (my key cards had a funny picture of a sheep and one of a dog, and one of the elevators had a picture of a pair of dice hanging from a rearview mirror with the text "roll of the dice"). The lobby is always stocked with coffee and hot water, with multiple varieties of tea on hand, and the internet is free. Breakfast, also included with the room, has a small hot selection- a meat, eggs, and oatmeal. The eggs weren't great, but I always appreciate a free breakfast buffet with hot food.
