This was my first time staying at a Hilton. I have mixed reviews about the stay. The lobby area was immaculate and had fruit infused water available all day/night. The kitchen buffet area was to the right of the checkin counter. It also had a very nice conference room and business room. My negative reviews starts with the room. The wall paper was peeling of and was in need of repair or replacement. There was white stains on the ottoman which meant that it wasn't going to be used my us during our stay! YUCK! The bathroom was small and also had peeing wallpaper. In the hallway, one of the elevators was not working at least one day during our weekend stay. The carpet in the hallway was buckled at one section. I dont know what caused it, but please see the pictures. The front door is to close to the dining area. For breakfast and dinner the temperatures outside were in the 20's and low 30's. We sat at the cold dining area as far from the door as we could get but our hands and heads were still freezing cold. Design error? Posisbly, but someone needs to look into it. I will say one great thing about this place. The entire staff from front desk to room service to dining was courteous, professional, and always spoke with a pleasant smile. They made the stay worth it. But, for future stays I will go back to Marriott or Holiday Inn proerties. Sorry Hilton you blew it "for the stay!" read more

Upon checking in, I was assigned a room that was clearly not ready for a guest. The room was dirty and the bathroom lacked basic necessities, including toilet paper and soap. I immediately brought this to the attention of the front desk and was advised that no other rooms were available. The following morning, before leaving for work, I again reminded the front desk staff that my room needed to be properly cleaned. Due to the condition of the bathroom, I did not shower that morning as it was filthy and unsanitary. When I returned to the hotel after work, I was extremely disappointed to find hair in the shower that did not belong to me, indicating the room had still not been properly cleaned. Once again, I was told that there was no staff available and that the hotel was sold out. At this point, the situation had gone well beyond an inconvenience. A clean and sanitary room is a basic expectation, and unfortunately, that standard was not met at any point during my stay. I do have photos as well should you need them. Given these circumstances, I believe it is reasonable to request a full refund for my one-night stay. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly and professionally. read more

I made a semi-flex reservation (OK to cancel within three days of stay) and canceled to move to a different Hilton property with three weeks notice. Was billed anyway so called the hotel and left message w the Accounting Dept. No call back after one week so I filed a dispute with my credit card. After four weeks, the hotel still has not responded to my credit card company. I am confident I will be refunded, but wanted to share this information to warn others. read more

Room was very comfortable with King bed. Walk in shower with mounted bottles of body wash and conditioner was great. Not fumbling with sample sizes or bottles from home. Room critique - There were very few plugs for devices. Staff was very courteous and welcoming. We made the BIG mistake of ordering food from the menu rather than self serve food. Coffee was self serve for everyone. Server was apologetic that they didn't get the food delivery they expected so options limited to only eggs. Waited more than 30 minutes for these eggs. Bacon came from buffet table so not freshly made. Lesson learned. Room experience good. Skip the food. read more

There beds will kill your knees the bed game is wood and sticks out why pass the mattress. The second thing cars are broke into regularly here just had glass put back in our truck and three other people was there to get there's back in too from here and was told about 40 or more had the same done to them also by the glass people. Would stay here they didn't even act like it matters to them. This hotel is run down needs a lot of up grades also. From carpet and mold in shower . Needs a lot of work. I flew in later and gave them a heads up to let them know that I would be arriving later. When I got there, they knew exactly who I was and checked me in smoothly. Thanks Jay! The room was clean and spacious. They have lotion, shampoo, conditioner, wash gel in the shower. Front staff were super friendly as well. I needed a Bible as my dad in battling an illness and asked for one and someone who worked there made sure I left with one. Went around the hotel to get me one. So grateful! The day I checked out, I didn't have time to go to the store to get a shaver and cream for my dad so I asked them for it and they were happy to help. The location was great and the staff were nice and accommodating. I will be back and hopefully in better circumstances. Thank you Hilton! read more

It's a nice place overall. What I didn't like was how they give Diamond members free breakfast with a catch. You get $10 towards breakfast BUT each morning you sign a bill to charge to room. Instead of automatically taking it off the actual plan is instead at checkout you have them take it off. What an inefficient system and creates more work for staff and customers. Just give me a breakfast card to leave or have it so I'm not charged. Otherwise they make you and the staff work towards something they offer to loyal customers. Other locations do as I described. I don't understand why the system is I have to challenge my bill to get a loyalty gift. read more

We are remodeling was for everything. Went through my app booked and picked my room. Tried to get a digital key, would not work. The front desk told me they are updating the app system so the room I pick was not available (had me in another room) and digital keys were unavailable. Our room was clean and presentable. Bathroom was okay. The shower did not drain well because of all the hair around the drain plug. The pool is in real need of remodeling. Chlorine was high, lots of rust in the area, was dirty in one end of the shallow side ( looked like dirt and debris, keep in mind this is an indoor pool). We decided a relaxing swim was not in the cards. The hallway needed help. In one part it looked like there had been a water leak from the above floor and it was in need of repair. The carpet was lumpy in that spot. Needs to be repaired and repainted. Very well lit in the front parking lot, front entrance and lobby was nicely done. No business center because they were remodeling. Staff was very nice, but like a previous commenter said Hilton did not win the stay. Next time I'm in Memphis it will be the Marriott or Holiday Inn for me. read more

We hosted a baby shower here and the staff was awesome! Edgar the manager was great and went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated. The pictures on the website are kind of outdated, the hotel is much nicer and cleaner in person! My only issue was the sales manager, Paige Schwartzmeyer quoted me one price for the venue but did not include all the additional fees so I ended up paying 35% more than the price quotes which was an additional couple hundred dollars. Also they did not offer catering so we had to find our own caterer. I would not work with Paige in the sales department ever again due to her rudeness, but the hotel staff was awesome! read more

This is a really nice Hilton hotel which features the new and modern connected rooms. More on that later.... There are quite a few parking spaces in front but as that fills up by the time the late afternoon rolls around, there are plenty of parking spaces in the back of the hotel that is close and convenient to the rear entrances. After I grabbed my bags and walked to the front desk, I was immediately greeted by a front desk employee and she was very friendly and checked me in and issued my key in a very fast and efficient manner. The front lobby is on par with other Hilton Garden Inn Hotels that I have stayed at in the past. The hotel is clean, modern, and not tired-looking for sure. There is ice water and I believe iced tea available at the front as well as warm cookies at the front desk. There is a small restaurant and bar to the right of the front desk as well as a snack shop for purchasing goodies. Onto the room. As this Hilton is configured with all of the latest modern technological touches that Hilton offers, you can check in on your phone or at the desk and also get a Digital key on your smartphone instead of the standard guest room key card. With the Hilton app, you can control the climate control, TV, and other cool things. I guess it's nice to have that kind of functionality but I don't mind using the actual remote control to control the TV and the HVAC controls on the wall. The room that I had was a standard 2 queen room. There's a nice and large flat screen TV on the credenza and a desk to the side. A mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker with pods on the side are located by the front door. The beds were comfortable and I had no complaints with the standard bathroom with Neutrogena bath products. I had breakfast all of the days that I stayed at the hotel and it was complimentary for me because of my Hilton status. They offer cooked to order hot items like omelettes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and ham as well as French toast and pancakes. At the buffet area, you can make your own waffles, grab a bowl of hot oatmeal, or sample the fruit, yogurt, cereal, and spread of pastries. It isn't a spectacular breakfast but definitely better than most standard hotel breakfast fare. This was a nice hotel for me to retire to after a long day at work or play. It's conveniently located next to the Wolfchase Galleria and close to the freeway and many restaurants and shops. read more

Door to the room was gross, walls inside were stained and peeling, carpet stained, comforter had a couple stains, shower was sad looking and shower handle was loose and wouldn't stay in the hot position, furniture falling apart and TV channels barely worked. Awful, just awful. I would give zero stars if I could. From the moment we took the elevator up, we knew something was off. The rugs and walls were dirty and torn apart, and it smelt bad. I had to clean the bathroom down myself because it was gross; but we were so tired and hungry from being in the car all day, we decided to go downstairs for some food and make the best of it. After waiting almost an hour for pasta and chicken, the pasta that was brought to me had hair in it. The bartender apologized, but we were done. We turned in our keys, asked for a full refund, and left. This was the worst Hilton we've ever stayed at, and as Hilton Honor members, it was disheartening to see. I'm disappointed with my stay here. My room upon arrival appeared to be clean .. but as I was packing my suitcase I found a clump of hair (not mine) in the corner. The chair in the room has a strange feet like smell and I had to sleep facing away from it all night. The gym also had a strange smell but to make it worse the towels provided at the gym also had a horrible smell. There is no complementary breakfast offered - and no breakfast menu provided in my room to even order room service. Next time I will stay else where read more

We're visiting from the midwest, and we always stay in Wolfchase area when we come to visit my sister. This Hilton is in an awesome area. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping in Wolfchase, and it's got really convenient access to the interstate. The lobby is really pretty, decorated with bright lights and bold colors. The bar, restaurant, snack shop, and breakfast buffet are all in the center of the hotel lobby, which is actually pretty convenient and makes everything seem so lively when you walk through during the mornings. They also have a business center right behind the service counter, with meeting rooms alongside the lobby. The pool is located out of the way, down a service hall where laundry is, so you can't hear the echoes and splashes from swimming guests unless you're right by it. The gym is located on the opposite side of the lobby, giving the front-half of the first floor a spacious and grand appearance. We booked a premium room for 3 nights from Expedia. They put us on the 4th floor, which we really don't mind. There are 5 total floors. Our king-size bed was okay, but we have a very comfortable, gel-lined king mattress at home, so we definitely woke up the first night with sore muscles. The following nights weren't so bad. The pillows are light and fluffy, instead of firm like a standard pillow, so that was a change. Overall, it was totally fine for a long-weekend stay. The Keurig is the perfect size for 2 guests. They provide 4 k-cups, which they refill everyday: 2 coffee, 1 decaf, 1 breakfast tea. The mini-fridge works perfectly for restaurant leftovers, along with the microwave. The large, flat-screen, smart TV setup was pretty cool. When we walked into the room, it was on a screensaver display that featured all the amenities at the hotel. The TV operating system features weather, streaming for movies, music, and fitness, and a lot of cable channels (HGTV, PBS, AMC, CNN, Food Network, just to name a few). The fitness streaming app is really cool, if you like to work out in your room. I was a little sad to see they offered no yoga, however. It was mostly fighting-style workouts, abs, running, and calisthenics- all things that would probably irritate the guests underneath you, if you're not on the first floor. The bathroom was clean, well-lit, and came equipped with Neutrogena shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, bar soap, body wash, and lotion. They also provide a single makeup remover wipe pack. They refill all of it daily. The shower is pretty neat, but the setup is weird. You can't change the water temperature without sticking your arm through the water stream, and it's super cold right when you turn it on. It gets pretty hot, but takes a minute or two to heat up. It's a pretty big shower though, and the towels are on a rack inside the shower wall. They don't get wet, and it's pretty convenient for drying off when you turn the water off. The hotel doesn't have pretty views, because it's right across from IKEA- unless you're totally into that. The walls are pretty thin though, you can hear people talking loudly in the hallway, and hear music/TVs coming from the adjacent rooms. Other than that, we really don't have many dissatisfactions and will likely stay at this Hilton again for future visits. read more

For the price of $264/night, we walked into a very nice lobby, but that's where it pretty much ends. Got to the elevators, one was down out of two, so it took a good 3-10 min (depending during the day or night) to get on. On our floor, the maintenance wasn't great. Carpet had worn out in areas or stained, doors were scrapped up, walls looked dirty. Finally, getting to the room, it was aesthetically pleasing, nice to see the TV with your name on it, welcoming you (thus another star). Problems, toilet handle wasn't working right, a/c wasn't working right, the entrance light was faulty. At the price of $264, you get a nice complimentary continental breakfast for $3.99 per child ... totally being sarcastic. You get 2 eggs, and the best tasting 2 pieces of bacon you will ever have in your life ALL for the low low price of $9... again, dripping with sarcasm. I took out a loan, but it's ok! Needless to say, will never come back. read more

Cleanliness was in short supply. This place needs to better with sanitation and cleaning. The bedding was questionable. Some of the bed skirt was on floor, very messy. It was one night so we toughened out. When we were leaving there was another guest complaining about cleanliness of his room. The courtyard was extremely noisy, went on through the night. I am glad it has two rooms so the door could be shut. Restaurant was closed. Avoid avoid. According to the hotel review sites it was excellent. They must be promoting themselves. Front desk staff untrained and sloppy, since they couldn't figure out how to do something they made us pull out identification and submit information, we are diamond members. I understand COVID, this was just laziness and lack of training. read more

I wound up here over Thanksgiving, the first time I've been with my family for Thanksgiving in Memphis. For my visit in Memphis, there just wasn't enough room for all of us, so four of us stayed here in two rooms. One couple was located on the first floor, we were on the second floor. The bed was a little hard but comfortable with plenty of nice, soft pillows. The room we had included a walk-in shower rather than a bathtub, which is good for people who have Arthritic knees. (Not that I'd know anything about that. Much.) We found our room to be clean and well maintained. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The hotel is a little stingy on the coffee and tea pods (2 and 1 of each, respectively) and I forgot to stop and pick up some K-cups of my choice of coffee, but it was passable. You might want to bring some of your own favorites. There were two irritations with the rooms. One, I didn't check the refrigerator when I checked in. Some knob had turned the cold control full blast so my half-and-half and milk froze. Arrgh! Friday night, there was a lot of commotion in the lobby with accompanying noise, all night long. The couple on the first floor did not get much sleep, although we heard nothing on the second floor. I find the Hilton Gardens to be a bit pricey for what you get, but I suppose a Keurig coffee maker is an amenity most mid-range lodgings don't offer. The property is located just off I-40 at the Germantown Road exit, on Ikea Way. Yes, the Ikea is right across the street. I will probably end up staying here again next Thanksgiving. read more

We traveled to TN for the first time & unfortunately we chose a Hilton property to stay in. We're a Marriott family but this hotel had a pretty good deal and most importantly...an indoor pool. I can say with confidence that you get what you pay for. After arriving on an early flight, attending a large family gathering & a late night, we went back to the hotel to sleep and were awakened early the next morning by a loud fire alarm. My fiancé looked out the door & saw other guest evacuating down the stairs so we did the same in our PJ's. We stood outside in the cold in our pajamas for 15-20 minutes while 3 fire trucks arrived and left shortly after. As we're were returning back through the front lobby door we noticed other guest still sitting & eating breakfast and the hotel staff still behind the desk. I asked if we even had to go outside and the staff member laughed a little and said not we didn't. Soooo you all saw half of your hotel guest evacuating & standing outside in the cold in our pajamas and didn't think to tell us we didn't have to!? That is a whole new level of terrible customer service. After standing and waiting for the elevator a few times since there were a lot of us coming from outside, I decided to go swimming. Nope. They closed the indoor pool to paint on the weekend! Couldn't that have waited!? The tv had a mind of its own and kept going back to the Home Screen when it wasn't freezing. I called the front desk about it and was told "Our TV's are a little finicky". WTH does that even mean!? It doesn't stop there because the power went out the one night during our stay. It wasn't out a long time...but it was long enough. Overall it was just not a good experience and I let them know that on their website and by calling. This was my 1st time staying in Cordova, I usually go straight to Germantown. But with last minute plans they were booked, so we tried Cordova. Glad we did because it was a nice area. Everything was surrounding the hotel. Plenty of food options, & shopping areas. Got to the hotel early and was able to check in. Front desk was very courteous. We went to our room & it wasn't the best. It looked very nice, but had a stinky mildew smell. We had to blast the air to make it liveable. We didn't switch rooms because we were trying to change clothes & rush back out. Then after we changed we had stuff everywhere & decided we'd try 2 deal with it. But we really should've complained & switched rooms. The hotel was nice & clean tho besides that smell. I'd stay there again if I come back to Memphis. read more

Beds need upgrade, just sitting on the bed it squeaked. The shower door made a loud noise every time you moved it, I thought it was going to fall off the hinges. They refuse to give out passcode for high speed internet, even for Lifetime Diamond VIP members. Nor would they give a free breakfast that usually goes with that status. As a final thought, the pillows are almost as thin as a piece of cardboard. Overall a bad experience. read more

It was an ok place to stay. Not as upscale as some Hilton's that we've stayed in. We only stayed overnight. The table was dirty we called down and they immediately sent someone down to clean it. The lights wouldn't turn on and they showed us trick to it. We did our room check, no bedbugs or random hairs or anything else in the beds so it was fine. The fire pit wasn't lit but we did sit on the patio. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was pretty awesome. Would stay here again. read more

Arrived in November after a long drive to a hotel I was used to staying in. Usually, greeted very warmly at the desk when checking in, until this time... New agent met me and did not welcome me, say hi, anything! He looked my name up and said I did not have a reservation after making me stand there for 5 minutes. Now, I am a Diamond Hilton member and I travel 4 nights a week, every week, and have stayed here (and put up team members here) MANY times over the years. After this treatment I vowed to never stay there again, and I have also had team members come back to Memphis for multiple stays and I moved them to another location also. In these times, yuo better treat your customers right, there are too many options out here! read more

I should've checked the reviews before I booked here. Looks like not having your room available when you arrive isn't unknown at this location. Arrived at 10 pm on 6/21, was told they didn't have a room and had tried to reach me after receiving my reservation to tell me that (I was driving). Didn't offer to help me get a replacement (a completely standard accommodation after overbooking), just left me in my car in the parking lot for an hour while Hilton customer service found me a room. We check in to Hilton Memphis after nearly 15 hours on the road (12-22-2017). We got cleaned up went down the have dinner. After nearly 45 minutes of waiting for our dinner they finally bring our food to us after a couple requests to check on the meal status. My request was simple Chicken Marsala that had onions and red peppers on it I asked to not put them on my meal. Well guess what red peppers and onions came out. To top it off the Chicken was so dry and tough like it had been in a warmer for 2 days. Finally I sent the meal back! The waitress and the manager of food services thought it was funny. Here we go! To the regional general manager of the hotel I go who jusy happened to be at the hotel . Before we left our meal was comped they re-made my meal. The real issue, I didn't get to eat with my family. The perfect end to a long day, that was actually very enjoyable and fun until Hilton got to it! The hotel was very nice, however the food services side of the business was found to be the most unprofessional staff we have ever experienced. read more

I let my kid pick anything she wanted to do this weekend. She chose "swimming at a hotel." I chose Memphis for IKEA. Hotel is right across from IKEA with an indoor pool. Bam. Except 1) after checking in, we were told the pool is closed for maintenance this weekend. They wouldn't cancel the reservation, upgrade us, or transfer us to another Hilton "because you booked through a third party." I don't make a lot of money. This was supposed to be a special trip & I paid extra for the location and POOL. 2) There is a bright spotlight right outside the window. Blackout curtains help but it's not really that dark at night. 3) It's supposed to be an "accessible shower." Guys. Come on. It's no more accessible than a bathtub. The towel rack is INSIDE the shower. Plus you can't turn the water on without getting wet bc of the location of the knob. Stupid & ignorant design. Pros: Staff has been relatively friendly, albeit unhelpful. I do like the smart TV so I can sign into Netflix. Very clean. read more

I don't usually bother to review this kind of hotel. Of course it had a bad smelling room, lukewarm shower water and a dirty carpet. About what you can expect when you choose to stay in such mediocre chains. What makes me write this is the lying cheating thievery. I object to that. When improperly charged on a credit card, I expect prompt and courteous resolution. What I got was a total runaround, thorough avoidance, no callbacks. And no refund. Bad business. read more

Driving through Memphis and we spent the night. We were able to check-in online through the confirmation email. We didn't get in till around 11pm so we didn't have much interaction any employees. When we checked in we were given a bag with two bottles of water in it. This was extremely appreciated for in my experience, the only way you can get bottled water is by paying for the $5 bottle that's sitting in your room. The parking right in front of the hotel was full but there was plenty in the back. Our room was clean and the A/C was on blast which felt great to walk into after a day of driving. My favorite part was the glass shower! it was awesome! They also have mini Keurigs with coffee K-cups and 1 tea K-cup with was great! Our room was on the bottom floor so we walked past the fitness center and it looked legit and well kept. The laundry room was your standard coin laundry. We had a peaceful nights rest and were awoken by the sound of children in the hallway but otherwise great stay! read more
