I was moved into two rooms one had a refrigerator that didn't work with a towel laying in it and a puddle of water on the floor and the refrigerator. The second room they moved me into the refrigerator was dirty and the person above me had a broke shower I was told by the front desk that's why they were making so much noise from 2:30 AM all the way into checkout time.No hospitality here and I was told I was being rude to their staff when I asked their maintenance man if he spoke English? Because I was trying to figure out how much I should say to him if I could keep it simple or speak, fluent English to him or try to use a little bit of Spanish that I knew I definitely will be disputing this charge with my bank read more

Easy fast checkin rooms clean and roomy and spacious Just feel the sofa bed could have been bigger . Only other thing is the tv doesn't have but about 4 or 5 stations. Breakfast was pretty good. Upon arrival, very nice and quiet. Room smelt nice, looked clean on the surface. Went to dinner, came back and started getting ready to settle in bed. Put my CPap on the end table glanced at the pillow and seen a bug (will leave pics) I thought it might just be a gnat but I went to poke it and it jumped like a flea but don't look like a flea. I then pulled the blankets back and found a bunch of strands of hair. Then I pulled them back more and found a little pile. My husband went to tell the front desk then I found more bugs. The beautiful lady working the front desk, Vanessa, was so sweet and was going to change everything out, but we were done and ready to move on down the road. Poor Vanessa, she was so awesome. It was not her fault. She did refund us our money. I am just not sure if I would ever suggest this hotel to anyone. read more

They have really upped their breakfast game! Smoothies, scrambled eggs that seem like they might not have come from powder. Cereal, oatmeal, blueberry & regular waffles. Very nice staff ! Clean rooms and a good location if you are traveling through . As a diamond member I was given snacks and water and they had it in a bag ready for me to take up . We were there because of a funeral and a lot of us came from Dallas . Everyone was treated very well and some of the older people who came never stay in hotels so it was nice to hear how kind they were treated and had everything explained to them about breakfast . read more

This is hotel in Mount Pleasant TX is right off of I30 and is a nice, quiet spot for a good night's rest. The rooms are good sized and finished nicely with granite countertops and oversized bathtubs. The staff was kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick. The continental breakfast included standard fare such as dry cereal, a self-service waffle maker, fruits, yogurts, pastries, coffee, and juices. The swimming pool was a big hit with the kids. The next time I'm looking for a room in Mount Pleasant, this will be my first choice. read more

We stopped here a little more than halfway through a drive from Murfreesboro, Tenn., to Austin, Texas. We actually were hoping to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, which was going to be $93 instead of the $103 we paid to stay here, but ended up getting off at the wrong exit and after 10 hours of driving I was not about to get back on the interstate for $10. (Side note: Why the hell is it so expensive to stay in Mount Freaking Pleasant, Texas?!) This hotel must be brand-spanking-new, as everything was pristine. Our room smelled of freaking new paint still. As an admitted hotel snob, I was in heaven. I stay at Hampton Inn frequently. My travels take me to some very out-of-the-way locales and I have found that Hampton Inn is generally the most widely available hotel brand of any hotel geared predominantly for business travelers. Because I want to build loyalty with a hotel brand, I stick with Hampton/Hilton HHonors. That said, I have not found a cleaner, better kept Hampton property than the Mt. Pleasant Hampton Inn & Suites, where I recently stayed for two weeks on business. There are a number of perks available (e.g., the manager's reception of bottled water, beer, wine, and hors d'oeurves on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings) that one typically sees only in higher-end Hilton brands (e.g., Embassy Suites). Rooms are large, brightly lit, and clean. White sheets and towels are spotless. All in all, well worth the expense. read more

As of recently, my work requires me to stay in a different hotel each week. I do this, rinse, and repeat for 36 weeks a year. The quality of a hotel makes all the difference in the world when you're in them more than your own home. This Hampton Inn has some of the friendliest staff I've encountered yet. Not the over-the-top saccharine -sweet fake nice, but the make-you-feel-welcome-and-at-home nice. They have a light dinner for guests Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, during which time everyone chats and relaxes with one another. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, and while it's a continental like many you'd see, it's actually better quality and offers more variety (hot and cold cereals, fruit, bagels, waffle maker, and a variety of hash browns/biscuits/eggs/etc.). The room I was in - 421 - was clean, large, and full of the accommodations I usually want in my home way from home: fridge, tv, microwave, wifi that actually works, and a bed that lets me sleep well. They also included one of those lap boards for your laptop, which I've never had at any hotel. It was so nice for working each night in bed! Even with construction hitting this part of town, and making their entrance a tad hard to get to, it's WORTH IT. Hotels like this are not as common as you would hope. Crazy thin walls ruin an otherwise decent hotel. I can hear everything from the rooms on either side of me as if there were literally no barrier. Sneezes. Farts. Quiet talking. After a long day of car travel for Work around east Texas, I stopped at the Hampton Inn in Mount Pleasant to rest until morning. The hotel is clean, I have a large comfortable room, but what makes this hotel so great is the staff! Queenie, the manager, makes you feel like you just came home...not to a hotel. It's rare to feel like you have a friend at the front desk at hotels. Polite...friendly...maybe. But Queenie has the rare gift to make a traveling, total stranger feel like a long lost friend! I really like this hotel. It's my first time here but definitely will return if I'm ever in Mount Pleasant again. It's very modern, clean and comfortable. I like and appreciate the fact that they put a clean duvet cover on the bed with clean sheets. The bathroom in my room is so nice and has a standup shower and not the gross bathtub that you most often see. I was greeted by a very kind person at the front desk and was offered some tasty candy. I love candy. I was told about the managers reception / happy hour with beer wine and sandwiches. I didn't make it because I went to Luigi's Italian Café which was delicious and recommended by the hotel staff. I used the fitness room because I needed to after my delicious meal. It was clean and nice and had towels to use which I appreciated and cold water for an after work out. I'm looking forward to breakfast and I predict it's going to be a perfect send off to start my day in Mt. Pleasant, TX. read more

She was being a smarty pants when I asked if she has something else besides a king size. And I told her I'm not about to be f***ing around like this and going back and forward if I'm going to be treated like that. The customer service is trash. Hotel check in was quick and easy. Staff very friendly. It is right off the highway and minutes from Walmart and restaurants. Room was clean, bathroom was exceptional. Walls are paper thin and we were able to hear the couple next door making love noises. Breakfast was nothing special. Not many choices. Eggs were watery, orange juice was tart. I stayed at the Hampton Inn August 4 and 5, 2017. This was the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. the hotel was spacious, beautiful and very clean. We stayed here for a Baseball tournament and for the price it was good. The front desk staff is super friendly but housekeeping not so much. They had a meeting outside my door at 7 am and it lasted for an hour before I opened the door and ask them nicely to keep it down. We stayed 3 nights and they never left fresh towels. Took the old ones but didn't leave clean ones. The walls in the rooms are super thin and the floor noise is super loud. I woke up most mornings to someone above me doing aerobics or something equivalent in their room. Very loud! This wouldn't be my first choice for a hotel but I'd come back if nothing else was available. read more

2 stars seems harsh, but basically my whole experience here can be summed up by "Meh, I've experienced better." I came here to escape a very loud family gathering in Lone Star. Yes, I drove all the way to Mt. Pleasant just to get some peace and quiet and a good night's sleep. Maybe that's why I was so upset at the sub-par quality of this place. At $123 a night on a Thursday, I felt was a bit steep, especially considering the fact I didn't check in until like 9 pm. Usually a hotel will give you some sort of cut when you check in late like that, at least that's what I've experienced and have come to expect. I was impressed with the size of the room. A very large bathroom, a king size bed, flat screen tv, a desk, an arm chair, and a cabinet with a fridge and microwave. When I entered the room, I took off my shoes, and I noticed while walking to the bed a squishing sound coming from my socks sticking to the carpet. Uh, gross. I didn't even want to think about what the source of that stickiness was. I went in the bathroom and found 2 hairs in the sink. Everything else in the bathroom was clean, so I didn't freak out. I just assumed it was hair from one of the cleaners and chalked it up to lack of attention to detail. I went down and asked for some more shampoo and conditioner, and was afraid the guy would point to the shop behind him and make me pay for a full size bottle of shampoo, but he gladly gave me a handful of each. I went up and took a glorious shower, but when I grabbed the folded towel on top of the stack in the cabinet, lo and behold, 2 more hairs. Another very long one, but more disturbingly, a much shorter one that seemed woven into the towel, making me think it had been picked up in the washer. Yucky. Before the end of my stay here, I had 2 uncomfortable run ins with inconsiderate people (guests and hotel personel) that I can't really blame anyone for and shouldn't really be included in a review of this place. I couldn't check out of the hotel without voicing my opinions. I told the girl at the desk about everything that happened and she suggested I contact the manager, which I attempted to do for 4 days. Every time I called, the manager had just stepped out or was off that day despite I had been told previously that she would be working at the time. Once I finally got a hold of her and told her everything that happened, I honestly expected for her to credit my card, but instead she just offered me a free stay in the future. Grrrrr, I hate it when managers do that. read more

Very impressed with this hotel. It's modern, clean, & well maintained. Sheets & towels were bright white, no stains or dinginess. The layout of the rooms is nice, the bathrooms are big. They have a generous manager's reception Monday-Wednesday which includes free cold bottled water, wine, & appetizers. Normally a manager's reception like this would only be found at an embassy suites or a homewood suites. If I come through this way again, I would stay here again. I highly recommend it for weary travelers or those needing to stay in the area. read more
