No problem checking in later in the evening. We arrived around 11pm and the parking lot was full. We still managed to find a spot. The room itself was very large and wide open. The carpet and curtains could be cleaner. We noticed stains. Beds were clean and comfy. The towels in the bathroom were awful. Very thin and rag like. They could use an upgrade. The complimentary breakfast was fine. An assortment of hot items, fruits, yogurts, and waffle makers. My daughter said the orange juice was awful and watery. Overall, fine for a nights stay. First time we stayed here as we used out points for a complementary stay. Clean and tidy room. A bit dated but the bed was comfortable. I would think that this Inn would be scheduled for an update in the rooms. Only one USB hub located on the desk. Carpet was ready to be replaced. Like I said it was clean , comfortable and did the job. They do have a breakfast buffet that is complementary with your stay. They served scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, juices, coffee, and of course waffles. The staff was friendly when engaged. If you are sensitive to air quality. IE dust please be aware. I stayed Christmas Eve and let front desk know and at check out gave them all a chance to make it right and they just let me suffer and load up on allergy meds and a breathing treatment. My first issue with them is that they did not honor my confirmation pricing, overcharging us by more than $350 with no notice or explanation. I have been unable to resolve this issue for over a month. 2. Breakfast was served at room temperature which is probably a code violation. Coffee was cold. 3. Like others have noted, the condition of the rooms is not Hampton standard. Hilton should be ashamed to lend their name to this place. 4. It took two days for an extra pillow request to be taken care of. 5. There was no housekeeping during our stay. 6. Towels and other amenities were subpar. Do not stay here. This hotel is in a great location and the hotel staff was very nice. My issues were: 1. I think there was a kid in the room above us that was either running or bouncing a ball nonstop. I even called the front desk but it had stopped when they got there naturally! It's actually going on right now as I write this. 2. Typical hotel breakfast but the eggs were cold, they were out of milk, out of bananas, out of standard waffle batter and out of seats. They were supposed to open another room for seating but that never happened. So on to the positive: 1. Nice hot tub 2. Nice hotel staff 3. Great pillows 4. WiFi seemed to work great 5. A mediocre place to stay, this hotel has pool hours that make it impossible to get a morning swim in before check-out. The juice at breakfast came out as water. Rooms are rather small, beds even smaller. Tiles falling off the walls in the bathroom. "Complimentary housekeeping by request". Oy. Their pets policy is a mystery. Online you'll find they allow pets. The sign on the building says service animals only. Most of these issues are clearly management problems. They could be a lot better. read more

Business trip brought me to the area so I decided to visit Toledo on Saturday night to catch up with my friends. Room 306 was very spacious and well appointed. They were still only a few years old, and were still clean inside. Standard bathroom amenities at any Hampton. The bed was comfortable and I slept well enough. The indoor pool was busy at night with lots of kids. It was Saturday, so expect some level of noise. Kids were running on the hallways but by the time I came back from bars, they were all quiet. Gym was adequate, I was there for two hours on Sunday morning, only one more person came in while there. He played music loud without earbuds. I almost said they have complimentary earbuds here but he left quick enough. I didn't want to stop my workout to ask him to turn down his volume. It's not hotel's fault but this hotel guest's music was annoying. The front desk staff was friendly. One of the staff remembered my name during check in and always greeted me by my last name every time I walked by the front desk. It is a good location, close to shopping and dining area as well as the University of Toledo. read more

I always choose a Hampton when that's an option because it's such a consistently good brand. For the most part, this location did not disappoint. The hotel is very nice and our room (standard king) was quite large. It included a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. It also had a small couch and plenty of outlets. The floors are not very solid, so we could easily hear people above us moving around. Not a big deal, but just be aware if you are a light sleeper. They did have us sign an agreement when we checked in to be quiet after 10:00. Apparently they do that on weekends. Don't know if it helps, but I was glad to see it! Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Hot items like eggs, sausage and waffles plus oatmeal, pastries, yogurt etc. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby. The hotel was packed the weekend we were there, so I appreciated that they had overflow seating available during breakfast. The only reason for knocking off a star was that we had maintenance issues that were never addressed. The light over the bathroom sink was out, as were all of the bathroom outlets. The sink wouldn't drain. We let them know on our first morning, but when we got back that night, nothing had been done. We were going to remind them when we checked out the second day - so the next guests could have it fixed - but no one was working the desk when we left. read more

I am rating this hotel solely on the meeting room, I am in sales and use hotels primarily for their meeting rooms. This hotel was a in a good locations and seems very nice and clean. The meeting room could hold about 25 individuals with tables and chairs. The room was ready and clean when I arrived, they have basically everything you need to conduct a presentation. I would recommend this meeting room for small groups. The parking is ok, must of the available spaces are on the sides; not upfront. read more

My husband used his points to stay here while visiting family in the area. It's right off 475 and has tons of places to eat near by. The hotel is fairly new and has plenty of parking. There is breakfast in the morning but we didn't get a chance to check out since we had an early morning flight. I was happy we were able to check in early to the hotel. I believe this hotel may be new. The room certainly felt like it. Too bad the connecting door isn't very well insulated. I could clearly hear everything the couple next door was discussing, as well as their tv. Good thing they went to bed around the same time I did! The air conditioning was hard to control. I even contemplated moving hotels in the middle of the stay. The fan doesn't stay on, even though there's no "auto" function, only a "fan" function (which implies it'll stay on all night). The front desk guy came in the middle of the night and confirmed that there was nothing that could be done in order to keep the fan going all night. This was very nerve-racking, especially for someone who can't sleep in utter silence. As a result, I've given a two star "Meh. I've experienced better." rating. Breakfast was okay - your typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Nothing is ever cooked fresh at a Hampton Inn for breakfast. Everything arrives at the hotel pre-cooked and then baked in an oven prior to serving at the buffet. As a result, the omelettes are hard and the bacon is wilted. Nonetheless, there's cereal, yogurt, oatmeal (and the fixings), and a waffle maker. Below is what I paid for one night. I think next time I'm in the area, I will try another hotel. If I could give a 0 I would. Me and my brother stayed here last week for a night and my dad made the reservation and everything was fine! Now that the visit w my father is over we decided to come back to this hotel and stay because we had no problems. Well unfortunately when we got there the front desk lady denied us because we weren't 21 and un "supervised". She was super rude and kept saying that there is alcohol in the rooms, and how we aren't allowed to stay because of all the alcohol they sell. which is funny bc there was NOTHING in the rooms!!! we were here last week and had no issues... pretty upsetting especially when we were looking forward to relax after an 11 hour car drive. Overall not worth it especially with staff that doesn't know how to do their job properly!! Like why allow me to stay one night and not the other ?? Yikes. read more

This place is horrible. If I could give a negative 5 star review I would. I have the unpleasant opportunity to stay for four nights and am grateful to be leaving tomorrow. Night one - no cold water. Night two - no hot water. Night three - the water made my eyes burn and left a fine sticky coating over everything. WTF is in the water? Night four - no hot water. Left message requesting manager call or email to tell me what was in the water. Manager didn't bother to reply so I found her at the front desk at 5pm. She informed me that the people working on their pipes and boiler room said there's nothing in the water. She had contacted the Regional Manager. She was surprised to learn that I had no problem with the water leaving residue the previous nights (what, you can have clean water or a decent temperature but not both at once?) Just tried calling to tell them hot water not working (willing to risk washing hands in sink) - let front desk ring 25x no answer. Tried again 12x no answer. Out of all this over a weeks stay I did speak to one nice person (Dason?] who sympathized over how crappy cold showers are, explained that they were having many issues with the water, and offered points for the inconvenience. The building is new and all should be a typically good Hampton stay but the water, and the hospitality, left a bitter taste. read more

Got assigned room 422, which in addition to being ADA compliant also appeared to be the largest on the floor. Overall everything was very nice -comfy beds, quality bedding, attractive furnishings, nice decor. The room was very well cleaned; not white glove treatment but absolutely at a professional level. Staff was friendly and helpful; brought me up a bottle opener when I needed one, in fact. I didn't actually need anything else, but at check in and check out they were very professional. The only problem I found was damage and poor installation throughout. There was a very deep gouge in the bathroom door frame that needs to be repaired and repainted. In several places I found signs of poorly installed wallpaper, such as bubbles in the corner. The midst noticeable thing was the phrase "covered outlet" scrawled on the wall in black marker! I'm not sure why they'd put someone in a room with that exposed, but they did. It didn't actually bother me, and since I liked the size and central location of the room, I didn't say anything, lest they move me. ;-D See photos for details of the room. I live in the area, and highly recommend the Hampton Inn when we have out of town guests. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The manager goes above expectations in meeting guests needs--and strives to make his staff feel appreciated. He held a Halloween party for them last month! Recently I ask Mr. Delaney if he would be able to donate paper products (plates, bowls, and cups) for a local fundraiser to help two cancer patients. He very kindly packaged up sufficient supplies for our event, and had them ready for pickup as he had agreed. What a great business manager he is, for his guests, for his staff, and for his community. read more

I would not stay here until they make sure this employee quits bringing her kids and all their friends to party in the hotel over the weekend. The first night they stayed in the room next to us, they were so loud we couldn't drown out the noise with the TV, audiobooks or music. We call the front desk @1am. They came and knocked on their door to be quiet. The continued to be loud. My husband and I called the desk and hour later no response, and every hour after with no response. @ 4am my husband went down to the front desk and told them about the continued loud guest in the other room. They called them and they finally went to sleep @5am. When I went down in the morning and they asked me how was my night. I let them know it was horrible. I didn't get any sleep. When I told her what room I was in she informed me that the guest in that room should have been told to leave and it was an employee's room full of kids. For service recovery I was given $20 off each room for 1 night( I had 2 rooms) The next night I would have to pay full price for both rooms. These kids and employees behavior was unprofessional and ridiculous. The employees would notify the kids when they brought out hot food and the kids would leave a little scraps for the rest of the guest. The kids stayed in the pool area spread out so other visitors could not sit together. That's if you decided to come in since only 15 people were allowed in the area at one time. The fact that my husband and I were up all night ruined our visit. We were tired all day and had to miss a few plans. We would have went to another hotel but they were all booked in the location we were staying. read more

The hotel is on a busy road with easy access to stores/restaurants. But it is SO loud from the street. And the floors above us--anytime someone walks, it creaks. Arg. Also, our mini frig makes this awful screech sound on/off the entire time. Even with the new "cleaning" in place, I didn't feel our room was clean. The floor has some slimy build up when you walk on it & the shower curtain had food all over from something-not us. The cold water in the sink does not work-it was luke warm at best but could not get it to cold at all. The same goes for the shower water--there is NO pressure & the shower head does not work properly. Arg. The parking lot in the front is very small & did not feel comfortable parking in the back parking lot. The person at the front desk was nice. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are awful! There are many hotel options in the area-you are paying for ease on this one. Not the best, not the worst-but many areas of improvement is definitely needed!!! read more

Decent Hotel, as mentioned in other reviews, it appears relatively new. The room was pretty clean and relatively comfortable. I had an executive suite that was very large, may have had the biggest desk I have ever seen in a hotel room. It was a little odd that it faced the couch, and vice versa, felt like it should be in an adult movie, but regardless, the space was nice. Typical Hampton breakfast, limited selection and microwaved fare. Opt for the prepacked bag breakfast! It's much more healthy! read more
