This is a great Hotel! Located about 8-10 miles outside of downtown Toledo. One of my favorite Hampton Inn's I have stayed at and a lot larger than most With more rooms, and an indoor and outdoor pool. Price point was exceptional at $118.42. I did book through the Hilton Honors App to take advantage of the member discount. Parking was good, with plenty of spaces and well lit. Seemed like a real safe area but there was a security guard on site in the evening that hung out in the lobby. Guest services and attitudes were great. Shout out to Theo at the front desk, he was super helpful and checkin and making recommendations for dinner that evening. Every employee said hello, greeted, and acknowledged you weather front desk, maitience, housekeeping, etc. So nice. Amminities included the workout room/gym, business center area, guest laundry, pools, and a little convenience area where you can purchase snacks and personal items. Breakfast was included with the stay, which is always nice. It was the traditional Hampton Inn Breakfast with cereals, breads, muffins, make your own waffles, and fruit, yogurt, and a meat and egg option, etc. I would absolutely stay here again and was more than pleased with the stay. read more

Positive experience. The good: rates are very reasonable - $80 if you have AAA and I'm sure it helps that few folks stay in a hotel in a pandemic. Your keycard gets you access into the building from a few entrances and your room, or you can download the app and use your phone. The regular room is a standard hotel size: not very large but enough space to move around. The colors are great - darker wood and crimson red which makes the room look fancy :) Room had a tv, microwave, and fridge, plus coffee maker. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower and is good. I like the shelves that have tons of towels and washcloths. Due to covid they only do housekeeping upon request - which is fine because I'd rather not have people in the room. Are folks working here wearing masks? Eh, when they interact with people. But saw the security guy watching tv in the lounge with his mask down, a front desk worker with his mask down behind the desk in an office (but door open), and housekeeping in the hallway didn't have her nose covered. So, like with any travel, I will be very careful and get a covid test in a few days when I get home. I wish people were more careful since covid stays in the air for hours. Also, in regards to food, lots of options. A deli and Big Boy are on either side so you can walk there. You can walk to Kroger or drive through the hotel parking lot to the Kroger parking lot. Across the street is a Mexican place, the other side of the street has a Tony Packo's, Meijer, healthy food place, and lots more. read more

Kind staff. Smelly room. I have never had a smellier room. We were given a room, and it smelled like someone bathed a couple of dogs and left the damp towels under the bed for a week. We were given a different room, and it smelled only slightly less foul. I am hopeful that the ongoing renovations will fix the problem. We came to town for a family event. I like Hampton Inn's, and this one was even a notch above the typical location. There breakfast seemed to more choices than average. The gathering room has a nice gas fireplace. They put cookies out every day in the lobby. There are two restaurants (Big Boy and Schlotzky's) adjacent to the parking lot, and many more restaurants and stores in the immediate area. All the staff seemed nice and helpful. This is a newer Hampton, and a couple things about the rooms -- there is no actual closet, just a clothes hanging area along the wall, covered by a curtain. The bathroom has a barn door instead of a regular door, and there's no exhaust fan. Location is convenient, the hotel was quiet, and we would stay here again. read more

Hampton Inn is our hotel of choice as you know what you are getting. I sure didn't know I was getting a girl's softball team running around the lobby and elevator, screaming and out of control. This was not a great way to start our evening after a long day of travel. Fortunately by 11 pm all calmed down. Our room was clean and typical of a Hampton. For this location, we thought the price was extremely high. We can stay in Pittsburgh for less than in Toledo. The breakfast area was out of control in the morning, so we opted to go find a restaurant. read more

I found it to be a nicely furnished, clean Hampton Inn - close to the Ohio turnpike. The breakfast was great - bacon, bagels with lots of stuff to try putting on them, a wide variety of fruits (apples, pineapple, cantaloupe, oranges, strawberries, bananas), muffins, western omelettes... wow! The oddities are that the "closet" was behind a curtain and the bathroom required a sliding door. read more

After passing through the area on our the home from Pennsylvania, my family stayed here. Hampton Inn has always in the past been wonderful, however this was not one of our best experiences at all. The room was not fully clean, the night sleep was good, and the facilities were fine. First up, the cleanliness. I've attached some photos of my problems that were visible. There was a stain on the pillow case and multiple on the floor. Everyone in my family noticed them. On the brighter side, there were no bed bugs or anything bug related. But this makes me question on were the sheets actually washed? My Rating for this Category: 3/5 Next, the night sleep. Thankfully, after the stain on the pillow case, the night sleep was great. Hampton Beds have always been comfortable and this location was no exception. I did feel that the pillows were a bit flat and did not support my head well. My Rating for this Category: 4/5 Finally is the facilities. I was a bit disappointed here. There is an outdoor pool at this Hampton but it was closed (with no reason given) in the middle of July. On the inside, the indoor hot tub was closed as well. However, the hot tub seemed to be closed for maintenance purposes. The fitness center looked fine, but just a tad bit dated. My Rating for this Category: 3/5 There is a massive security concern at this hotel for the room doors. Usually, when someone pushes a hotel door to close it, it automatically shuts. Here, you actually have to forcefully push/pull the door into its actual lock position. If you did not know this tip, you could have the potential issue of your door being cracked open with easy access to your belongings. So, for the one night we stayed, it was fine and served our purpose. The hotel was a bit dated in some areas and the drains in the bathroom were slow. But, the cleanliness lacked, the night sleep was good, and the facilities were subpar. If I was in the area again, I'd stay here again because it is not bad, but I might give another hotel a try. read more

Top highlights: Spacious, clean room, nice gym, large breakfast options I had a very comfortable 2 day stay at this location. They are pet-friendly, so I was glad we could bring our dog along. Our room was right by an exit, so it was convenient to take him out. I didn't have time to check out the pool, but it looked like a great space. I went and bought bleach and cleaner I sprayed the entire room including the dirty bathroom. microwave was dirty, refrigerator dirty.. my dog was chasing something in the carpet. On the long road between Minneapolis and Pittsburgh, the Hampton Inn is often our 'home away from home.' We enjoy the quality and price point and this location is exactly why we enjoy the brand. The bed was comfortable, all of the linens were crispy clean and the room was very well-appointed. The only thing that I didn't like - and sadly, it's a trend - was that blasted barn door to the bathroom. I don't know why it's a 'thing,' but I wish it wasn't. The location is ez on/off the turnpike and is central to a number of restaurants, which made selecting this Hampton Inn easy. Made a quick, last minute decision to stay here overnight to avoid driving in bad weather. The mobile app worked really well. The front desk person was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen staff serving the continental breakfast was super helpful. The only thing we did not like was the sliding door on the bathroom. It is fine for one person, but with more tan one person, you wake each other up when using the bathroom at night. I highly recommend this place. read more

Arrived on 3/13/24 in Toledo Ohio. Went next door later in the evening to get food and used front door since it was closes to our room. I had small bag in 1 hand. I was walking on sidewalk and didn't know that there was a 3 inch difference in the side walk. So I got tripped by it and fell on both knees and my left breast handed on the cement garbage can and then landed on my back. I was holding my chest area since I was hurting and I couldn't move A couple that was leaving in there car stopped and pulled me up since I couldn't get up. Went to hotel at the other door since I couldn't get my card to work. I told the lady at the desk that I fell outside on the sidewalk and need bandaids. She pulled out her kit and I said I need big ones and showed her my knees. She put the Band-Aids on counter and didn't say anything. I then had someone drive me to store so I could get stuff put put on the cuts. 3/14 Asked guy at desk when will manager be in. Told me at 9am. I went there at 9:02 and was told she was already gone for the day. I told him what happened and said he would relay message. Around 10 he brings me incident report to fill out. Took it back to him and said manager would call me later in the day. 3/15 No call 3/16 No call 3/17 No call 3/18 No call 3/19 No call 3/19 Went to front desk to see if had quarters so I could do laundry. Missy front desk person asked how my visit was and I told I was not happy and told her why. She was so very concerned and said she would try to get hold of manager. Missy said that the 1st lady was the supervisor and I didn't tell her that I fell. In which I did and showed her my knees. 3/20 Missy said she talked to manager and manager said would send in the incident report to the insurance company that day(which was a week later) and I should hear from someone with couple of days. 3/21 Left to go home which was a 3 day drive in pain still and I have pictures of the sidewalk and my knees and breast area. 3/27 Still No Call - Is this how your company runs business with employees that don't care!!! read more

In south Toledo on Reynolds Road, this Hampton Inn is in a good location for restaurants and some shops. We stopped at a small car show down the street. The hotel is newly renovated. It's beautiful. The staff is friendly. Coffee is again available in the lobby. Hot foods are included in the breakfast room. The common living room is spacious and pretty, one of the best I've seen. The guest rooms are nicely designed. A hanging area is on the wall. The bathroom has been turned with barn doors. The room is soothing and not the old business dark anymore. There is a workout room and in/out door pools. This is a nice large family event hotel. read more

We stopped while taking a long road trip and hoped they would have a room available (it was around midnight) and luckily they did! The woman at the counter was very friendly and realized we were exhausted so she was able to get the reservation done very quickly. The hotel is older but it was very clean and the room was perfect. The mattress was firmer which I do not normally like but it was one of the best hotel beds I have slept on! I also love that they provide free breakfast in the morning with so many options to sit down and enjoy a buffet or take something quick to go on the road. The price was also very reasonable. Road trip so didn't book anything in advance, tried a few spots before landing here. My luck, hotels always booked out but luckily this Hampton had a one king room. As you enter the premises it was not smelly, updated and clean. Elevators were definitely up to date and clean. Rooms were CLEAN and I'm a person who looks at all the details, corners of the room clean, countertops clean not not dusty bathtub was clean as well with no sign of mold. Bed and pillows fluffy and comfy. Room was secured, no flimsy locks. The only con, tv channels were basic and I didn't find a bible. read more

I am beginning to become impressed with the Hampton brand, particularly in terms of value. We stayed in a really nice one last year in downtown Providence, but I chalked up its boutiquishness to the building's history as a 1920s bank. However, here in almost-middle-of-nowhere, Ohio, was a property that looks about as good as you could ever ask of a roadside motel. We got a room on a Wednesday night after 10pm for only a hundred and ten bucks (plus taxes). This surely is not the cheapest but undoubtedly is the overall best option amongst the row of accommodations just off this I-80 exit. Handsome appointments, nice people, convenient locations, and comfortable rooms are great, but the best thing going at Hampton Inn is the complimentary breakfast. I somewhat obsessively made a complete inventory: a trio of hot dishes -- miniature western omelettes, bacon, and "bagel toppers"; hard-boiled eggs; bagels, english muffins, and bread for toasting (or not); hot oatmeal; make-your-own waffles; six cold cereals; muffins, cinnamon rolls, and turnovers; three varieties of yogurt; whole apples and bananas; cut fruit including pineapple, strawberries, oranges, grapefruits, canteloupe, and blackberries; and apple, orange, and grapefruit juices. Superb. Other noteworthy details include: + Nice shower, with good pressure and head set high on the wall + Responsive heat + Free, fast wifi + Decently potable water from the sink + Towels better than expected + Small easy chair and ottoman + A desk chair on wheels (natch)...and a desk on wheels (you just blew my mind)! +/- A decadently luxurious bed, but no medium-weight blanket, just a top sheet and heavy comforter - No bathroom exhaust fan - No stationery in the room, not even a little notepad. I never use the hotel stationery, but this time I happened to forget my Moleskine at home and needed to jot down a few things, so I was unluckily SOL. read more

This is a great Hampton Inn. Very nicely designed dining area, and extremely nice staff. Literally, every time I passed a staff person I got a smile and a hello. The final nice touch was when a staff member came out to find us in the parking lot, because we had left something in the room refrigerator. The only slight negative was that there were no egg choices on this day, that did not have meat...although there were hard boiled eggs. Good location near the turnpike, but the rooms need updating and didn't feel perfectly clean. We took a road trip across the country and stayed in Hilton properties all along the way. The breakfast buffet was really nothing to write home about, but the HDTV and spacious desk were nice touches. A comfortable bed, and good sized closet also made for a pleasant stay. She didn't smile to save her life and when I said I want a room with no history of bed bugs, she said "I have to check with my manager", but never moved to check. So I said 'please check!' She went into the office and said 'she wants to know about bed bugs! A man with gray hair and glasses came out and said 'yes we have had bed bugs, can't guarantee anything." Pretty decent property that I've stayed twice now. Nothing overly special although this Hampton does appear to have a nicer/bigger pool. Fitness room was ok sized with 2 treadmills, an incumbent bike, some yoga pads and free weights. Rooms aren't bad (I have actually been in the same room twice now based on my Hilton preferences) and fairly spacious. My only complaints however are that there is no fridge in the room, the room I was in had a desk area completely facing away from the tv, and the tv has quite a few fuzzy channels. Pretty good rate and breakfast included will probably mean I'll be back again though. read more

This hotel is halfway between home and college for my son so we stayed here twice recently when we took him back to school. Very easy to get on/off I-80. Plenty of restaurants in the area as well as grocery stores. There is even a major shopping area a few miles away with a Wal-Mart supercenter in case you forgot anything on your trip. Both stays this trip were pleasant, beds comfortable, rooms clean, hot tub and pool in good working order. They are currently undergoing some renovations (some interior, some exterior), but they did not get in the way of our stay. WiFi is sometimes a little tricky to get started on a smartphone, but no problems on my laptop. My only issue was that the hot breakfast does not include plain scrambled eggs. My wife has digestive issues which significantly narrow her choices. A number of hotels we have stayed at offer plain eggs with stuff to add on the side. For our first stay though, one employee (Rita) went to the restaurant next door and got us plain scrambled eggs for the morning. Many props to Rita for going above and beyond. read more

This was a spontaneous trip. I was pleased with how easy it was to book the room. When I arrived check in was effortless. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. My fiancé smokes so we requested a smoking room. Contrary to other reviews I found the room to be clean and not overwhelmingly smokey. The desk was a nice to have because my fiancé had a lot of work to finish up. My only complaint is that there were only ample outlets on one side of the bed. We both do a lot of work from our phones and we had to flip a coin over who got the outlets. read more

The front desk people are generally very warm and welcoming--with one notable exception. It's an older model Hampton Inn, but very well maintained with both an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as an indoor jacuzzi. It might sound odd, but I love me a jacuzzi at hotels, no matter how elegant or janky it might be. So there. My main concern stems from the fact they have smoking rooms, and while I have never been put in one--au contraire! I once mistakenly booked one and they noticed that in advance and change my reservation--and what this means is that the hallways sometimes smell like smoke. And that I do not like. Perfectly nice little workout room--far better than most Hampton Inns and better than some of the other suburban hotels adjacent, including the Homewood Suites. The free breakfast is bountiful, and oddly enough they always have papaya in the fruit salad, because, you know, Ohio is known for its plentiful papaya crops. But other than that, it's a Hampton Inn breakfast like the rest (and the best) of them. No surprises, except that they call the Canadian bacon "pork ham". Yep, I thought I misread that the first time, but sadly I did not. If you are lucky enough to be a Hilton Diamond member, you get reserved parking right in front. Hilarious. read more

As frequent Hampton Inn patrons, we found this stop to be especially comfortable. We were traveling with 4 little ones and a trailer hitch loaded with Christmas presents (toys). We stopped just after midnight and were worried about our things on the trailer hitched not being locked and secured. The Manager on Duty, Mike, took care of us and allowed us to park right in front, which made us feel more assured our things would be safe. Mike showed pride in his hotel and we could tell we were in good hands. The pack and play we requested was ready to go for us when we entered the room. Little things helped make the stopover easy (no easy feat with 4 kids). The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the towels were very soft. It was a quick stop, but we were very pleased. Very nice hotel close to tollway! 2 pools - a good size one indoors and small one outside, and whirlpool. Free wifi. Also one of the best continental breakfasts I've encountered, complete with sausage and French toast. Usually we get our breakfast and then head back to our room to eat it, buy the dining area here is so spacious and welcoming we decided to stay. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. In fact on our way out someone offered to help me with my end of a very large and heavy travel carrier bag. Definitely would stay again! read more

Apparently the lobby was just redone and it was very nice and they are working on renovating the rest of the hotel. Very clean. Great location, off the turnpike, close to Meijer's and food.
