Positive experience. The good: rates are very reasonable - $80 if you have AAA and I'm sure it helps that few folks stay in a hotel in a pandemic. Your keycard gets you access into the building from a few entrances and your room, or you can download the app and use your phone. The regular room is a standard hotel size: not very large but enough space to move around. The colors are great - darker wood and crimson red which makes the room look fancy :) Room had a tv, microwave, and fridge, plus coffee maker. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower and is good. I like the shelves that have tons of towels and washcloths. Due to covid they only do housekeeping upon request - which is fine because I'd rather not have people in the room. Are folks working here wearing masks? Eh, when they interact with people. But saw the security guy watching tv in the lounge with his mask down, a front desk worker with his mask down behind the desk in an office (but door open), and housekeeping in the hallway didn't have her nose covered. So, like with any travel, I will be very careful and get a covid test in a few days when I get home. I wish people were more careful since covid stays in the air for hours. Also, in regards to food, lots of options. A deli and Big Boy are on either side so you can walk there. You can walk to Kroger or drive through the hotel parking lot to the Kroger parking lot. Across the street is a Mexican place, the other side of the street has a Tony Packo's, Meijer, healthy food place, and lots more.

I found it to be a nicely furnished, clean Hampton Inn - close to the Ohio turnpike. The breakfast was great - bacon, bagels with lots of stuff to try putting on them, a wide variety of fruits (apples, pineapple, cantaloupe, oranges, strawberries, bananas), muffins, western omelettes... wow! The oddities are that the "closet" was behind a curtain and the bathroom required a sliding door.

After passing through the area on our the home from Pennsylvania, my family stayed here. Hampton Inn has always in the past been wonderful, however this was not one of our best experiences at all. The room was not fully clean, the night sleep was good, and the facilities were fine. First up, the cleanliness. I've attached some photos of my problems that were visible. There was a stain on the pillow case and multiple on the floor. Everyone in my family noticed them. On the brighter side, there were no bed bugs or anything bug related. But this makes me question on were the sheets actually washed? My Rating for this Category: 3/5 Next, the night sleep. Thankfully, after the stain on the pillow case, the night sleep was great. Hampton Beds have always been comfortable and this location was no exception. I did feel that the pillows were a bit flat and did not support my head well. My Rating for this Category: 4/5 Finally is the facilities. I was a bit disappointed here. There is an outdoor pool at this Hampton but it was closed (with no reason given) in the middle of July. On the inside, the indoor hot tub was closed as well. However, the hot tub seemed to be closed for maintenance purposes. The fitness center looked fine, but just a tad bit dated. My Rating for this Category: 3/5 There is a massive security concern at this hotel for the room doors. Usually, when someone pushes a hotel door to close it, it automatically shuts. Here, you actually have to forcefully push/pull the door into its actual lock position. If you did not know this tip, you could have the potential issue of your door being cracked open with easy access to your belongings. So, for the one night we stayed, it was fine and served our purpose. The hotel was a bit dated in some areas and the drains in the bathroom were slow. But, the cleanliness lacked, the night sleep was good, and the facilities were subpar. If I was in the area again, I'd stay here again because it is not bad, but I might give another hotel a try.

They wanted a $75 charge for a dog that was going to be in a crate! Plus a $25 charge that it wasn't clear for what it was. No thank you

If there was a 3.5 stars, I'd choose that, but I decided to round up to 4 since it was a good…read moreexperience here overall. Anyway, I booked this hotel for a weekend of scrapbooking in the area at a local business. I made the mistake once before (and never again) of staying to far away and this place seemed to have it all. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but maybe could've been better. I booked a room with a patio since I like fresh air this time of year. I arrived and checked in with no problem, and my room was fabulous. It was clean, well stocked with towels, soaps, and everything worked. But, here's where they could've done better: **The shower and bathtub were very dated. Other Marriott's I've stayed at were more modern and up to date with their showers. Things like tile with glass and the ability to walk in and out without a tub. Felt extremely dated compared to the rest of the property. **no coffee provided in the lobby, and breakfast is an extra charge. When did this change/happen? I stayed at a Courtyard in Minneapolis last year at this time and they had a fabulous spread of food. Not here. At least put out some coffee! **While the property was in good shape, it was starting to look worn in a few spots. I normally don't pay that close attention or care that much because it's a hotel and not someone's home. I noticed peeling wallpaper in spots (in my room) and the sliding door to the patio area was stuck. I did check the 12 locks they had on it, and had to have someone from maintenance stop by when I was out to get it working, which they did. It was fixed when I got back, so high 5 to them. **small inconvenience but something that I noticed right away. Usually, there's a garbage can by the entrance of the hotel for stuff that maybe was in your car that you want to get rid of like cups, food wrappers, or whatnot while traveling. Not here! I saw a garbage can after I checked in off to the right on the way to the elevator. Would be nice if they had one out front off to the side of the entryway so you don't have to stink up the lobby or carry trash all that way. Like I said, small inconvenience, but worth it's weight in gold. Overall a decent experience and I would return in the future. In Toledo, I've noticed hotels fall into two categories. Either they're good but somewhat pricey (over a $100) or they're some place that you shouldn't be at and not worth the $65. This one was good for the area and the price, but I felt it was needing some work as a Marriott brand that could be better. Personally, I hold Marriott to a slightly higher standard than others and pay extra for the nice stays here. again, not bad just needs some attention.

We arrived late, around 11pm, and had no reservation however the hotel receptionist got us a room and extended us a late checkout. The rooms are dated however the facilities are well kept. The room we received was not similar to the pictures posted on their site. The shower pressure was strong and the 39 degree toiletries were refreshing. I loved the lavender and eucalyptus scent! Since we are Marriott Bonvoy members, free wifi was included with our stay. The only downside was that the pool was closed. Complementary parking is ample and staff was attentive.

Hostile and unprofessional front desk experience -- April 15, 2026, ~6:35 PM…read more I checked in this evening and the front desk agent did not greet me, make eye contact, or acknowledge my presence -- I had to say hello first. When she asked for a credit card, I explained I use a digital wallet and offered Apple Pay. She refused, citing "policy" but would not explain why. When I pointed out that physical card swiping carries a higher skimming and fraud risk than contactless payment, she claimed that digital payments are MORE dangerous -- which is flatly false. When I asked her to name a single instance of Apple Pay being hacked, she couldn't. Instead of responding professionally, she started yelling at me and told me to come behind the desk and scan the card myself. She then accused me of "disrespecting" her and called me a liar -- even though she was the one who made a demonstrably false claim. When I told her I would be reporting her to management and corporate, she laughed and mocked me in front of another guest as I walked away. I travel frequently and have never been treated this way at any hotel. This was not a policy disagreement -- this was an employee who was hostile from the moment I walked in, made false statements, escalated to shouting, and then openly ridiculed a paying customer. A formal complaint has been filed with Choice Hotels corporate and Priceline. Avoid this location.

We tried to call the front desk twice and nobody answered. I then came downstairs ( I was on the top floor) and rang the front desk bell, as nobody was at the desk. Nobody came out. It took my husband calling out a few times before someone came out. She advised us that the microwave has a safety feature that makes it shut itself off and told me to google the model and try to get it to work ourselves. This made me a bit upset but we tried and it didn't work. So my husbands food was stuck inside the microwave and the front desk refused to help. I had booked a second room as soon as we had arrived, before realizing all these issues existed. I spoke to the front desk about the issues the following day, and he gave me a discount ($40 on a $160 dollar room) for the hassle. My husband and I did some Mother's Day activities outside the hotel, came back, ate dinner, then attempted to start water in the jacuzzi to get in. We turned on the dial to run the jets as we had before and got no response. We tried turning on the buttons and all the dials, nothing. I called the front desk, had to call twice but the same woman from the night before answered. She told me she had no other jacuzzi rooms but to speak to someone in the morning about a discount. So I did, and when I came down in the morning the same person was up front again. She had me wait a few minutes, left and came back and told me it she couldn't do anything because they did in fact work just fine. I asked her to show me , she just repeated herself to which asked her Again to show me. She refused, which of course she won't because it does NOT work. I am disputing the charges on my credit card, and have been spreading word about this experience. The whole experience has left a horrible taste in my mouth about best western, and I have told everyone I know about the experience. Apparently, a lot of others around Toledo feel this location has went downhill over the recent years and I definitely agree.

This time, I was down for a scrapbooking retreat not far from the hotel and needed to stay for two nights. After having done this enough I knew the general area I needed to stay in and this hotel seemed to hit all the marks so I booked it. Pulling up, this location is situated with other hotels as well, so no extra traffic is in the area. The property is clean and well maintained, and even though I was there 15 minutes before the formal check in, they were able to get me my room in just a matter of a few minutes. My room was clean, well stocked and in good working order when I went in. There's a coffee maker with K cups, a small microwave and a fridge if you need it. The TV had plenty of channels, I had blackout curtains and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with supplies. The staff here is wonderful and there was always someone at the front desk. They also do texting here, so if you need extra towels, or like me, coffee K cups, you just text them and they will get them for you. There's also a pool, a workout room and a comfy lobby to hang out in if you need it. They don't serve a free breakfast here, but you can pre pay for it when you book. Or, you can pay for a breakfast at the Bistro in the lobby if needed. If you don't want that, there's a Tim Horton's at the end of the street you can pick up food from and I think other breakfast joints in the area. They also have water and coffee in the lobby at all times, along with a few tables outside in the back patio area if you feel you want to enjoy the nice weather. My only complaint is the lobby needs better soundproofing. It's mostly tile and if there's families or more than a few people it gets very hard to hear. Soundproofing is needed to muffle the noise when it gets busy. That's my only complaint about this place. Parking is good with plenty of spots and the lots in awesome condition. Prices here are affordable and close to what you need. I would gladly book and stay here again as it was a very pleasant experience overall, despite the loudish lobby.
