The lobby and common areas, despite being repaired from a water leak, were all clean and inviting, and the onsite restaurant was quite good. As for the room, it's really nice on the surface. A spacious entry way, closet, and bathroom, a super open room, and a very comfy and clean king bed. The room also featured plenty of outlets, USBs, a fridge, coffee supplies, and nice HVAC. Returning to the bathroom, it had a super fancy sink and storage area, a large shower, and a fancy toilet. So, why isn't this a five star review? I noticed a lot of peeling wallpaper, a good bit of dust build up on the bathroom floor, a slightly dirty shower door, and some hair in the shower. Despite these issues, I still enjoyed my time here and would absolutely recommend the property. I want to end this review by discussing service, as every employee I met was incredibly friendly and helpful, and Meagan specifically is one of the nicest people I've met in the industry.

I checked in Sunday night and gave the clerk the documentation. All I was given was my key cards. Halfway through my stay someone from the front desk called my room asking for my debt card number to have on file for Incidental coverage. I told them that my agency covers this in the form but the lady insisted I had to leave my card as well. I thought this was suspicious but complied anyways. Today, I wake up and find that I'm missing over $600 dollars from my bank with two charges from Delta (preauthorizations). They charged my card for the 5 day stay and incidental. The frustrating part is that they didn't seem to take any responsibility aside from reversing the charges. The 2 documents I gave them had incidental checked on it so if the person had been doing their job and read the document this wouldn't have occurred. But they didn't. Now, this being a Friday I'm stuck in limbo for probably 6 days or longer waiting on $600 dollars to be returned to me that never should have been taken. Apparently their "system" will just do what it wants within 3-4 business days. 1) They didn't read the document. 2) They charged my card instead of my agency's card. When I expressed frustration the lady I spoke to today said a note should have been made on there about incidental but I'm not sure if she was saying they should have or trying to shift blame to my agency.

The pool and gym were both undergoing remodeling so neither were open as of 7/23/24. The washer/dryer is on the second floor, bring quarters for that amenity. The parking lot is super clean and has ample places to park. We had a room on the second floor, quiet and comfortable! The breakfast was hot and the attendant Jim was very friendly. He made sure the dining area was kept clean and food was made fresh. My family had a wonderful experience staying here in Ashland :)

I think that is cool that the owner kept the original (I would have never known because it was probably like this prior to me being born). When I made a reservation, it was efficient and so no issues there and the same with check in. I then had to go up the elevator and found the first issue, no inspection certificate. Are these not supposed to be posted for the public to view? I see them in all elevators. The room is nice and spacious with the king bed. They have teas, decaffeinated and caffeinated coffee that I found in the room (good selection). The cable they have is OUTSTANDING. They have 140 channels, complete with Travel and Discovery Family. Travel is great for Paranormal Caught on Camera and Ghost Adventures. On Discovery Family, I have found a show called My Cat From Hell. It is so hard find hotels that have Travel and Discovery Family was totally unknown to me since My Cat From Hell was on Discovery in the mornings. The breakfast was okay: baked goods, biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs (I think real because they have the yolk as well as the egg whites), and hash rounds. They also have apples as well. Compared to other hotels I have been to in Kentucky, this hotel would rank above ones that just have packaged baked goods (and that is all those hotels offer for breakfast) and below ones that have choices of two meats (sausage patties: sometimes I have seen turkey and pork, bacon, etc.). I have yet to see a hotel that serves cold cut ham (but I guess that is only in Europe, one way to make your hotel look upscale..wink wink). One definitely will not feel full unless they bulk up on carbs (which I tend to like protein more than carbs to feel full). One may not feel full on this kind of breakfast.

No signage directing late arrivals to the right side of the office until you're at the door after parking by the sidewalk to the left... A dozen or so holes in the door from where the safety-chain appears to have been ripped out... Curtain doesn't quite cover the window, water stains in the ceiling, springy floors (hope it isn't on a slab), and one of the hand towels sitting in the toilet (nicely folded, but in the toilet none the less.) The air handler worked well and quietly, the bed and beddings were serviceable, and the plumbing plumbed. Also, I did not detect any actual vermin (no bugs goes a long way with me) or offensive odors.

I see now that they try every way possible to keep People's deposits but if I have to take them to court to get my $100 plus thousands more I will.

New owner means new experience!…read more Came a few years ago when the manager was different and it was an alright experience but the new staff have changed the place entirely, for the better! The rooms are way cleaner than before, tvs provide more channels, they have all the utilities you would want, microwaves, fridges, Air Conditioning and heating units and Free Wifi! Prices aren't that bad, especially comparing to the nearby hotels who increase prices more often than decrease depending on season. The beds are quite large and soft, there are multiple options from large king size to two bed etc. I had to make a business trip last few days so I decided to try this place out again since it looked updated in a more modern way from the hotel itself to the parking lot and the rooms. I would really recommend going here since its a nice place to spend a night or few.
