The bathroom fan worked very well and cleared out the steam from the shower in just a few minutes. You will need a parking pass when you check in, or you may be towed. Overall, a great one-night stay in a very clean, modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

Front desk staff is fun and friendly. They have a nice breakfast with fruit, oatmeal's, bacon, eggs, turkey sausage, juices, hot tea. This is a lovely hotel and I highly recommend!

Nice and quiet. Customer serservice- The ladies at the front were super friendly and helpful. Cons Toiletries- One bar of soap (normally there are two, one for hands and one for body). Seems silly but little things. Lighting- Lighting was pretty terrible, especially in the bathroom. Carpeting- see picture attached (worn? burned?) The pool and gym were both undergoing remodeling so neither were open as of 7/23/24. The washer/dryer is on the second floor, bring quarters for that amenity. The parking lot is super clean and has ample places to park. We had a room on the second floor, quiet and comfortable! The breakfast was hot and the attendant Jim was very friendly. He made sure the dining area was kept clean and food was made fresh. My family had a wonderful experience staying here in Ashland :)

I think that is cool that the owner kept the original (I would have never known because it was probably like this prior to me being born). When I made a reservation, it was efficient and so no issues there and the same with check in. I then had to go up the elevator and found the first issue, no inspection certificate. Are these not supposed to be posted for the public to view? I see them in all elevators. The room is nice and spacious with the king bed. They have teas, decaffeinated and caffeinated coffee that I found in the room (good selection). The cable they have is OUTSTANDING. They have 140 channels, complete with Travel and Discovery Family. Travel is great for Paranormal Caught on Camera and Ghost Adventures. On Discovery Family, I have found a show called My Cat From Hell. It is so hard find hotels that have Travel and Discovery Family was totally unknown to me since My Cat From Hell was on Discovery in the mornings. The breakfast was okay: baked goods, biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs (I think real because they have the yolk as well as the egg whites), and hash rounds. They also have apples as well. Compared to other hotels I have been to in Kentucky, this hotel would rank above ones that just have packaged baked goods (and that is all those hotels offer for breakfast) and below ones that have choices of two meats (sausage patties: sometimes I have seen turkey and pork, bacon, etc.). I have yet to see a hotel that serves cold cut ham (but I guess that is only in Europe, one way to make your hotel look upscale..wink wink). One definitely will not feel full unless they bulk up on carbs (which I tend to like protein more than carbs to feel full). One may not feel full on this kind of breakfast.

Cold cereal, waffle machine (mix was too watery causing waffle to not cook through), and nearly frozen hard boiled eggs. Pastries looked old, bagels were good, and coffee that was just warm. No fruit of any kind. Coffee is poured into cold pump serving containers that cause it to be only warm even if you get it as soon as it comes out. Hot water should be used to heat the dispenser before coffee is added. Pool is down, will be until June, but it is still advertised as having an indoor pool. What is the point if it is going to be closed for months? Breakfast not served until 6, not one minute earlier. Forget it if you like to get an early start. Cannot even get a bowl of cereal or slice of bread/pastries. In fact the door is locked so cannot even sit at a table to play a game or have a cup of barely warm coffee. My wife and I used to love this place. We won't be back.

The rooms and facilities are clean, modern, and well maintained. Special pluses for a big bathroom with a non-slip floor and lots of grab bars everywhere. Room and bed are comfortable and it is not very expensive compared with the hotels we are used to. Lots of plugs and electronics hook ups. There is the usual small fridge, microwave, tv and coffee maker. There is an iron and ironing board. The usual complaints, no elevators, only one chair in each room, skimpy on soap, tp, etc. As is getting more common, your room is not picked up every day and if you want something, you have to go to the front desk. The one big complaint is that there is no closet, no hangers, and only two hooks for your clothes. What is with that? We asked for hangers at the desk and they went into panic mode and stole 2 from the laundry room. They need at least one comfortable chair. The desk chair they provide is not very comfortable. We had to drag the shower chair out of the bathroom and put 2 pillows on it. Stay away from the rooms with a "hot tub" unless you really plan to use it. It takes space away from the bathroom and costs a lot more. Skip the hotel breakfast unless you are really pressed for time. There is a Huddle House right across the Interstate, and for a little more drive (about 25 minutes) go to Bob Evans.

This place is now totally clean since she has hired me as the head housekeeper I was there for 6 months and cleaned every single room ....there is rooms 101 through 110 (singles) ,116 - 120 (double beds ),and 121 through 128 ( kitchenettes) and are very clean and we have rooms for pets and children are expected and very welcome !!!! There's places to go like McDonald's, Wendy's , Arby's, Little Caesars , and Foodland there's also Stultz Pharmacy, the Marathon gas station which is also a truck stop for all the truckers out there and also a super quick with very nice people that are customer service Representatives... We have sodas snacks popcorn things like that for sale in the office and has ice upon request clean sheets pillow cases blankets comforters towels washcloths and floor towels hand towels upon request everything is fresh and clean in the rooms free Wi-Fi cable heating and air conditioning refrigerators microwaves and there's also a restaurant right up the road called Gerber's and a bank right next door called Town Square Bank!!! The Police Department is very close and can and will be there in minutes and just about anything you want around!!!!!! Come check it out for yourselves and see and please leave a review if you don't mind everything would be appreciated good or bad .... We want to know what you think about it okay ... In fact, I stayed at a motel 6 last night that made this place look like the Hyatt regency. It's nice when a place takes care of their rooms, and cares about the user experience. Check-in was easy, the lady at the front desk was super nice and kind, and she was more than helpful. She got me checked into my room in record time, and Eva recommended a place for me to go eat. Which was great. The room itself was comfortable, had carpeting, and smelled neat and clean. A step up from some of the places I have stayed before, and was actually less than what I was expecting. Plus they have a breakfast in the morning! That's a nice bonus and they have waffles! The bathroom is neat and clean and very spacious. The only thing I could say that was a criticism was it would be nice to have a non-slip mat in the shower. It definitely is a little treacherous but they do have safety bars in there. Bottom line? I don't know how many times I'm going to be through Grayson Kentucky, but when I am and if I'm this way, I will definitely be staying at this super 8 motel! You should definitely give it a try.
