The location worked well for exploring the area and served as a convenient stop on my trip. I slept through the night with no noises that bothered me. I would have preferred a ground room floor but ended up on the second floor. It wasn't a major issue, but a ground-floor room would have been my preference. My only real suggestion would be to offer breakfast on-site. Having breakfast available before heading out for a day of riding would have been a nice convenience. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again on a future motorcycle trip.

I looked into a Bed and Breakfast and found the Rockwood Manor. The price was what you would expect with no price gouging whatsoever. It turned out to be a very happy turn of events. Rockwood Manor is about a 15 minute drive from Radford university and was perfect for our needs. The Manor is on the historic register. A bit rustic on in places, it was last renovated in 2005. It is a beautiful place and our Hosts Frank and Rochelle were warm, friendly and very welcoming. We stayed in the Blakemore room. It had lots of windows which provided a nice view of the property. Our room also had a jacuzzi which we used and it was amazing after a long day on the road. The bed was a bit more firm than what we are used to at home and we recommended a mattress topper but by no means is this a negative as it is a personal preference. The linens were nice and clean and smelled fresh. We walked around the property and they looked to be all set up for wedding events. Lots of space, lots of areas for photo ops. It would be an ideal place for a wedding with room for a reception. The inside while at one point was the family home was like walking through history. We loved it. My favorite thing about the place was that I felt at home. Frank and and Rochelle are wonderful hosts. The breakfast the next morning was great with options for everyone. They also set the food up buffet style which made me feel like I was at a big family breakfast :) The only suggestion I would have is for our hosts to look into some professional rug cleaning. There were a couple of stains in the rug under the table in our room would need professional stain removal to get out. This place is one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have ever visited. We loved it!!!

The grounds and the home are wonderful. The house is full of the history of the home, American values and beautifully addressed for the Christmas season. The services, food and amenities cannot be beat in a surreal time setting in America's past. Christy was wonderful; she reached out to ensure we could gain access, answers questions and prepared our breakfast the next morning. She is the best and should be acknowledged for her spirit of excellent service. Rockwood Manor also has a Hokie room in the basement, I am sure it was in tribute to my son's graduation. Told a lie that they always let us check in early but have only done so ONCE. Why lie about something so minor? That made me very upset. If there is one thing I do not like, it is when people tell stupid lies. The person who told this lie is Shaquita. 2 - Snow incident (01.04.2026) - Called my hotel room and Asked me to move my car to a specific spot (that they chose) so the man could clear out the snow in that area. I go to move my car to the exact spot they tell me to, but the entire area is covered in ice. My partner and I are both disabled. To ask us to park in a specific area that is covered in ice is not only idiotic, dumb, ignorant, but immensely dangerous and unsafe. I called the front desk to say I am unable to park there and explained why. They asked me to park my car randomly in the middle of the entrance way and leave it there while the man finishes clearing out the snow. To ask me to leave my car on an ice filled entrance sitting up on a slight hill is again idiotic, not smart and unsafe. Not to mention, I am not leaving my car parked in the middle on an entrance just because you tell me to. I told her no, I would not be doing so and the fact that the have me out on the ice trying to find a safe place to park is a SERIOUS issue for me. So, they said I can park in one of the electric car spots (that was clear of ice). So, I did. But the fact that all of that even took place was VERY unnecessary and stupid. Who does all that? Even the man plowing the snow said to me they are dumb and have no clue what is going on. 3 - Missing tissues from tissue box (weird) - In the bathroom was a tissue box that gave the appearance that it was filled with tissues. When I go to pull a tissue out, only 2 come out and the rest of the box is empty. LAZINESS! 4 - Loud Music Incident @ 2 am (02.27.2026)/Laziness of front desk night staff (Tony). We called our 1st night to complain at a little past 2 am that there was a car parked directly in front of our room blasting their music. The music was insanely loud. I was severely sick, could NOT sleep and barely even think straight because the music was so loud. He stated he would handle it. The music continued....then stopped...then started again. I called a 2nd time to complain. As I was complaining, my partner was already on the phone with the police submitting a complaint and asking them to come handle the situation. Tony nonchalantly claimed he was going to call the police. He told his manager that he called the police, but we firmly do not believe this. The police came right after WE called them, not him. 5 - Breakfast was horrible and disgusting. Please don't bother! 6 -They tell lies to protect themselves and make them look innocent. Please do NOT believe any lies or responses they put under my review. I have nothing to gain by lying. I am sharing MY TRUTH with all of you to give you a warning of the type of establishment this is. 7 - Agreed to give us a FULL refund but charged us for the 1st night of the loud music incident. So, we received less than they promised. We were so upset, but very OVER this situation, so we just took what they gave us as a credit and kept it moving. I am NOT arguing with idiots! 8 - Property Mgr (Kierra) was SO upset and bothered that we complained about the loud music incident that she literally walked off while we were verbalizing our complaint to her. This is BEYOND unprofessional, immature, and a horrible way to treat customers and a bad way to handle business. 9 - The wrong people are handling this property. I am a STRONG believer in professionalism yet there is absolutely none here. 10 - We only stayed here because it is pet friendly and an excellent location(right off the highway). Otherwise that's it. 11 - We've stayed numerous times and have given them lots of money so to be mistreated this way is insane, disheartening, disappointing and just not worth it!!!!!!! Entering the room we were so pleasantly surprised. The room was so big and very clean. I'm not sure if its new or newly renovated but it is updated and very modern. It does have a small microwave and fridge for guest convenience. There is a work desk and clothes closet. I would definitely stay here again. They do also have a pool, workout room, free breakfast for guests and warm cookies in the evening.
