BUGS!! The service was exceptional, but the room had roaches!! won't be staying here again any time soon. (Room 328 - King Suite)

Came here and crashed before I made my way to St. Louis. I recently stayed at a Hampton Inn so I thought, I'd do it again. I wasn't dissapointed. They had fresh cookies in the lobby. Beautiful front lobby as well. A cool thing I liked was that there wasn't a charge needed on my card for incidentals. The room is standard and felt like your normal Hampton room. It did have mouthwash which was awesome! TV stations may be confusing to some. What I disliked was that there wasn't a hot tub even though I was was satisfied with the pool. Lacked many breakfast options but they had the best orange juice ever! Lacked food pantry options. Overall average place.

I have been to SEVERAL hotels in the last year and 3 Hamptons in the last month. I intentionally picked this Hampton over the comparatively the priced Doubletree which is very close by due to my great experiences of the previous Hamptons. FAIL This one is no one near as nice as the aforeaforementioned. Very old furniture and carpet. The bed is what really sold me on the previous too, those beds were awesome.. This one is pretty meh. All in all not repulsive but probably not worth the 80-90$ I spent on hotels.com the Doubletree was only a few dollars more.. kicking my own @$$

Coming into the hotel was some heavy exterior damage. Maybe a recent storm? Main lobby was empty but looked fine. When I got to the room, the carpet was torn up and looked used. Few long hairs left in the bathroom, and just overall the room smelled damb smelled damp. The curtains are rod along the wall and the window is on a separate piece. Window sheet doesn't come down all the way. Sunlight and Parking lot light keep room bright.

    Room 127- very dirty floor

I stepped in the shower and immediately noticed the white floor of shower was dirty from my feet!! I didn't bring the dirt to the hotel. I took my wash cloth and rubbed one tile (see attached photo room 127). Appears the dark tiles never get mopped or the cleaning staff uses the same mop water for all rooms. Clean rooms are all I ask of any hotel. UPDATE: without requesting any refund or action from desk clerk I received an apology and refund. I hope Mgt acts upon this cleaning problem. I can't be the only person that cares about a clean hotel room.

This is what we saw when we first arrived?? Remodeled??

It's an ok Hampton. It's clean. Pool was down. Staff is friendly. Even though it was recently renovated, it could use more work.

When we first arrived to our room it reeked a smell our bathroom was dirt and had a hair on the toilet. We didn't say anything when we stayed because honestly we aren't those types of people to say something and we didn't care because we only stayed one night. We only stayed there so we could go see the arch. We got ready and we accidentally spilled a small amount of foundation on the sheet. It wasn't big it was small. We checked out. He saw that we were young women. I accidentally left my card there and called asking if it was there. He put me on hold for 40 minutes and then hung up on me. I called again and automatically he knew who was and spoke loudly and with attitude you left your card here. We later went to pick it up. I was then charged 4 hours later an additional 250. I called immediately and asked why. He said you spilled god knows what on the sheets. Ruined the sheets, the mattress cover, the mattress, the pillow, the pillow cases. When in fact we didn't. We spilled a small amount of makeup. Everyone spills something. Everyone is human. He had an attitude and accused me of messing up his whole room. Called back August 2 and he yelled at me again saying he should've charged me more. He said I ruined his whole room and the total cost was $3000 or something like that and he did me a favor of only charging me 250. Absolutely not. They do have parking for large trucks, trailers, and RV's. The hotel is located next to a few restaruants and convenient stores. The breezeways are quiet and there wasn't any suspicious activity noticed. Nothing to worry about in the parking lot. The room was fitting for a family of four and the queen sized beds were very comfortable. I really appreciate the linen betting clean and stain free. The pillows were super soft and clean too. No bugs or weird smells to report. No stains on the well - vacuumed carpets. The bathroom was small but clean. The sink, tub and shower walls were without stains or marks. The shower curtain was clean. I really appreciate the attention to detail the housekeeping staff put into the room. My biggest headache with a lot of hotels is that they don't clean the tub and shower walls well enough and the shower curtains usually need to be replaced. Yuck! I was able to get a good nights rest and enjoyed a little cable TV before I drifted off. They do offer continental breakfast but I was up and on the road before the sun rised. Location - This Drury was in a suburb (Fairview Heights) close to St. Louis. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. There is also a decent sized mall just down the road. Rooms & Building - After staying at a couple Drury locations, you will notice that each one follows a similar pattern. Lots of seating in the lobby (which is great when getting food), nice size pool and hot tub areas, and sprawling complexes with additional seating nook found throughout. Our room was nice and comfy and easily fit our family of five. The building was in good condition and easy to find right off of the highway. Amenities - This hotel had a cool inside/outside pool that my kids loved to play in and nice (a little small but still relaxing) hot tub. Parking was free and utilized a large, private lot. There was also an office center and a small convenience store to purchase items from. One of the main selling points for me was their free evening dinner and free breakfast. Oh, and I can't forget about the free popcorn in the lobby. Food - While staying here, you are able to take advantage of a free breakfast and dinner buffet. The breakfast layout is your standard hot/cold/continental buffet. Hot options include eggs, breakfast potatoes, breakfast meat, sausage gravy, and waffles. Continental options are available too such as yogurt, cereal, breakfast breads, fruit, etc. I have to say that Drury had the best biscuits I have ever had for a hotel's breakfast buffet. I ate so much biscuits and gravy here, ha! The dinner buffet was great. At first, I thought it would just be a great way to save some $$, even if it wasn't the most enjoyable but the food was actually satisfying and filling. Food included hot dogs, soup, salad, pasta, meatballs and mashed potatoes, nachos, etc. Adults also get three free alcoholic drinks that include various cocktails, beer and wine. The kids can enjoy AYCD soda. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. All the staff worked extra hard to make sure all of the guests were having a great stay, super cool to see. The hotel is definitely geared towards family but includes some nice higher-end touches like comfy seating areas, relaxing pool areas, and a decent size gym. With that being said, there will be a lot of kids running around but it wasn't as loud and crazy as I thought it would be. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - I paid about $100 a night. Great bang for your buck, especially when you included the free food and drinks that you can take advantage of. Drury's are a great place to pick if you want a casual all-inclusive experience while traveling, especially with kiddos.

Manager keeps light off in the area around the dining room (tables set up) without recognizing that people sit there for reasons other than waiting for breakfast and evening "kickback". I know they use the lights as messaging to the guests when kickback starts (Though NEVER at other Drury's) but the manager (woman with long blonde hair) walked past me twice sitting in the dark rather than offering to turn on the light while I work on my laptop. Food choices for kick back don't take into account non meat eaters like all other Drury experiences I have had (It's not really free when the room rate (159.00) is much higher than others in the area). I would not recommend this particular Drury though I highly recommend the other Drury's!

It was quiet & adequately cleaned, tho the sloppy repairs made it appear more dirty (ie: brown caulk drips dry in an unappealing visual - there were also tub surround crack repairs that made it look stained.) There is indeed a panoramic view from room 300, as noted on the website. Note: it's of several hotels, a couple of restaurants, parking & the highway. The bed was comfortable, sheets crisp & fresh, temperature control worked well. We skipped breakfast but grabbed coffee, based on the feedback from the guy at check-in. The coffee wasn't terrible.
