The staff were organized and provided exceptional customer service. The staff smiled and greeted you every time they encountered you. They would check in throughout your visit to make sure all your needs were met. The rooms are older and need minor repairs but furniture is new. The breakfast was nice, everyone in our party (even the picky eaters) was able to find things to eat.

great place on the beach they charge $15 a day for parking and your breakfast is included. The beach is very nice to walk on right out back. Staff is very nice too.

We stopped for one night on our drive down to Key West. The hotel was nice. It needs a little refreshing in the room. The sea wall has been repaired and they have nice new steps. Too cold for the pool but it looks pretty. The tiki bar was nice. Brady was great. The reception staff was nice although someone came out of the office to help with another guest and she wasn't friendly. The staff person for breakfast was very sweet and very on top of everything. We paid for an oceanfront balcony and couldn't sit out there the first night due to someone smoking cigarettes and the next morning someone was smoking weed. Not the fault of the hotel but very unfortunate that we couldn't use what we paid extra for because of the rudeness of other guests.

I'll start by saying that I am an Honors members so I usually stay at a Hilton when I stay in a hotel. Hampton Inn is usually my go-to Hilton in their chain though! Hubby and I decided a last minute trip to Daytona was just what we needed. I booked a king oceanfront room last minute while we were driving to Daytona in the a.m. We were early with checkin not until 4 pm so we drove around a bit. At 4 pm we arrived for checkin. Upon entering the room it was very hot and humid in there. We messed with the a/c for a while and tried to wait for it to cool down in there for probably 30 minutes or so with no luck. We went to the front desk and the lady told us how the a/c units were on motion sensors and it probably just hadn't been run in between guests and advised us to go back to the room for the room to cool down. We were like "Um we need to go stay in our room for it to cool down?"...but ok, we tried it for about 30 minutes with no luck. I called the front desk and asked if there was another room as this room just wasn't cooling down and something was wrong with the a/c unit. We were told there were no rooms available, the hotel was full without even offering to send anyone to look at it. I hung up and my husband immediately called back and demanded someone come look at it. Another 30 minutes goes by and a really nice gentleman arrives and immediately figures out the a/c unit is not working. He said we should get a new room, to which we replied, we had already tried that and it was full. He said our other option was for him to replace the entire unit and he said he could do it in 15 minutes....we were already here so we thought ok let's do this. So, he arrived with an entire new a/c unit. My husband helped him remove the old unit from the wall, unbox the new unit, move it into place and move the old unit out into the hallway. Okay, we thought all was good now. In the middle of all of this, a different lady who I think was the hotel manager comes in to inform us that, low and behold, another room is available for us to move to now. We were too invested at this point, so we decided SURELY we will have a cool room now and we just moved all of our stuff to this room anyway. So, the guy leaves and we quickly realize this a/c unit also is not cooling the room down. So, after another 30 minutes of this nonsense, I took the lady up on changing rooms. So, we got a 2 queen room on the other end of the hotel overlooking the pool (lovely, not). I am not one to complain and I was just happy to be at the beach finally. The lady gave us a drink coupon good for 2 drinks. Pretty sure it was only beer and wine and we drank margaritas so we didn't use them, I left it in the room. Especially after I asked for late checkout and was told, no....I explained our checkin situation and then was told noon, but we left by 11:20 am anyway. Otherwise, the room was clean. The pool started out clean (now given the hotel was completely full all weekend) but was kind of gross and had some kind of weird film on it at the end of the Saturday. It was still there Sunday morning so not sure the pool really recovered from all the people Saturday. We didn't get in the pool needless to say. The tiki bar had great margaritas though!! They have the chairs with umbrellas out on the beach outside the hotel grounds that are $20 an hour or $50 until 5 pm, we got one for the day and we were able to leave and come back as many times as we wanted until 5 pm. Hampton is not a terrible place to stay, we just had a bit of a bad experience this time around. Kudos to the manager for trying her best to accommodate something out of her control, not much kudos to the other front desk member who was not taking us seriously multiple times in the beginning and kind of rude about trying to change rooms and not offering to send someone up when we told her about it TWICE. BTW, upon checking out Sunday, the gentleman who changed the a/c unit on Friday told us that the a/c unit that we helped install was NO GOOD, brand new out of the box and he had to replace it with yet another one!!

This Hampton Inn was my home base during this Daytona vacation. First, it was close to the hotel where the Legends of Freestyle concert was being held. It's also a short walk / Uber ride from the bars on Seabreeze and Main Street. More importantly, it's right on the beach! Megan and her staff were always helpful with sightseeing and other dining recommendations. She even got the maintenance man pretty quickly to my room at checkin when the room ac wasn't arctic enough to my comfort. My room was clean when I got there, even with aromatherapy (lavender maybe) when I checked in. There's complimentary shampoo, conditioner and bar soap and they have a "convenience store" behind the front desk with other stuff like toothbrushes and snacks. Water pressure and temperature in my shower was good as well, and the shower head has a couple of massage settings, and my king size bed was really comfortable. Although I did make a run on the Seabreeze bridge, there's a fitness center with weights, elliptical and a couple of treadmills I also put to use. Foodwise, there's a complimentary breakfast station where I enjoyed a couple of western omelettes, a sausage patty and managed to cook up a blueberry waffle. Their tiki bar served up sneakily strong strawberry daiquiris (thanks to which I got some really good sun on the beach and pool., The smashburgers were also pretty juicy. The pool could be a little bigger but the beach downstairs was perfect with great waves.

Don't get me wrong this is a great hotel, it's not there fault that the hurricane took out their sea wall, but we wasn't expecting to walk a mile to the beach, we had a two week notice that the construction was going on but didn't expect this much construction, regardless, the managers were great the hotel is very nice, check first to make sure the construction is finished, I'd stay again

I'm shocked this is Hilton property! Front desk staff was the worst. I had to ask for towels multiple times. Meanwhile, they were playing on their phones or chatting with each other when you approached. They turned off my electronic key the 2nd day without telling me because they didn't have a copy of my DL. Lobby and pool deck area was okay. Breakfast was average, not great but acceptable. We didn't like the food from the bar as portions were very small and overpriced. Drinks from the bar were watered down unless you got beer. Servers were great though so we visited a couple times during our stay. They were policing the pool so make sure you bring your yellow bracelet as they wouldn't let us in without them. Worst part was guest rooms are gross and need updated. I felt like I needed a shower just being in the room. Floors were gross and I saw a bug run in the bathroom when I turned on the light. We never saw housekeeping staff the entire 3 days we were there.

So how do I rate this? Do I rate this off of my initial interaction/check-in with Megan and the interaction with the guy behind the counter that wears long sleeves because he has tatt's? If that is the case, along with keeping the room in mind, it gets a 5. If I rate it off of dealing with Amy the following morning and her condescending tone and unwillingness to help, much like I was bothering her for simply trying to get items fixed in my room, this would be a negative review. The location is great, it is out of the chaos and north of the tourist area. The room we had was nice, and the air blew cold. The housekeeping left to be desired. When you went to get ice out of the machine, there was pink mold/sludge around the spout. I also noticed that the trash can next to the ice maker had all sorts of nasty stuff for the three days that we were there. Housekeeping would grab the trash from it but not clean it. So you say what about the pool? I never saw them vacuum the pool. On the last morning, I saw a person brush the sand around in the pool. If you look at the photo, you can see how thick the sand is in the pool. At night, the pool area was never cleaned up at all. The pool gets heavy usage, so you would expect the pool to be properly maintained, but I guess not. Would I avoid this hotel, Nah not really. But, I have not stayed in a HI in a long time, and this reminds me why especially when dealing with staff like Amy. Avoid this hotel if you are used to being catered to and feel appreciated. More times than most, they couldn't even be bothered to look up from the desk to greet you when you walk through the door.

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The water also does not go away at the sinks quickly. Really a cleanliness issue. The bath tub is broken too. Also the hotel can get some upgrade: it's really run down. Swimming pool can get an upgrade too. There is a mini fridge for you to put drinks. The beds are ok but can be better maintained. Carpet can be cleaned better. Will probably not come back to this location. Parking is $55 for valet. Opposite outdoor parking is $35 with in and out privilege and $25 per day for no in/out.

When we arrived, I went in and spoke with Nastassia, who informed me they did have availability, so I went ahead and book a room from the 9th through the 13th. The first thing I noticed is the total price she indicated was more than the website with taxes and fees. I was given a Veteran Discount and entered my rewards number, which may or may not assist in free stays in the future, but the overall amount still was above the quote on the website. She gave us a free upgrade to a kitchenette room, which was cool and my wife and I went to the room. While there, we requested plates and silverware and was informed they would be putting it together for us stating they would ensure it was sanitized and ready for use. When it arrived, it was not very clean. Not to say it hadn't been cleaned at one point in time, but instead had sat somewhere unused for a while and was just thrown in a large Tupperware bin and not rinsed off again. Everything seemed fine; however, early veterans day morning, we were awoken by construction on the floor above us, before 9 am. Ann, the desk clerk seemed disinterested in our complaint, so we just went about our day. On that same morning after getting ready to head out antiquing, we both noticed tiny little bugs in the bathroom sink, kitchen and table. I couldn't really say if they were bed bugs, because we have never seen them before, but they looked to be very tiny ants. Later that evening, while watching tv in bed, I realize I was being bitten and notified the front desk who moved us to another room, where we stayed for the remainder of our time there. Nastassia was at the front desk at that time and decided to provide us with two free breakfasts for our last two mornings, which was good; however, even when in their dining area, we noticed the little bugs there on the tables. Before heading out on our final day, I decided despite the breakfasts provided to speak with the manager regarding the issues we've had. At first, he asked if we had left our sliding balcony door open, which we did not, because of the very loud surf sound and then asked if we went to the beach, which I again replied no, because the hotel literally sits right on the beach and twice a day, the surf crashes against the walls and in some places comes up onto the pool area, where they have cones indicating the water hazard. This to me seemed as if he was trying to blame us for their lack of cleanliness and pest control at their "resort". Either way, he removed the resort fees from our bill, which saved us the price of a full day, but again, still did not equate to the amount quoted for staying on their website. That evening, our tv internet went out for over an hour. They did send a maintenance person, who fiddled around with the tv, as if we touched something and caused the issue ourselves. Finally, as if the roar of the surf in the back wasn't enough, the hotel sits right off the main road and you can hear every loud car, motorcycle and emergency vehicle for miles. When we were moved from room 609 to 509, the front door started a high pitch howl early in the morning, because the wind picked up, which we attributed to the water proof seal on the door needing to be replaced. When mentioning it upon exit, the male desk clerk stated he would let someone know, but again seemed disinterested in the complaint. When went took them up on the free breakfasts, bar tender/server in the dining area was very cordial and efficient; however, the toast they served arrived soggy, both times. All and all, I can say this was the absolute worst stay I have ever had and recommend you choose another newer hotel in the area.

By no means flashy, but if you are just looking for a clean place to stay with comfortable beds, the Fairfield is a great choice. It's Daytona Beach and you are not anywhere near the beach, but you are within walking distance to Daytona International Speedway and just a couple of miles from the airport. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that are good for groups of friends or families with young kids. It is very convenient, especially if you're here to go to a race or car show. I had a single king bed on the third floor that a view of the corner of Daytona Speedway and a corner of the NASCAR Headquarters. The natural light was great, the room came with one sitting chair, but at night the lighting made the room feel kind of yellowish and dim. It had easily adjustable air conditioning that was powerful and a large flat screen TV. There were plenty of clothing drawers but the closet space was kind of a weird set up. Instead of a traditional tall closet, they decided to make a slim, super tall closet and slice it in half with a top and bottom, except there was no hanger rack for the top half. The top half of the closet felt like inefficient use of space. There's a fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board which are always helpful. I loved the firmness of the bed and never woke up in the middle of the night on any nights. Slept like a big ol' baby! They don't service your room unless you schedule it in advance, but you must schedule it at least 24 hours ahead of time. If you are staying for a number of nights and you think you'll want the room cleaned, you may as well tell them at check-in what days you'd like your room cleaned and they can put it on the schedule right then. Quirky things about the hotel... The ice room on the third floor was like a sauna. It's 10-15 degrees hotter when you are getting your ice in the little room than anywhere else in the hotel. There must not be any ventilation in the room. The hotel has a bar but there is no bartender and it's never open. So you'll have to settle for the bottled wine and beer selections at the fridge near the front desk. There is free breakfast at the hotel, but it is the exact same food every day. When I went to pick up some coffee each morning I looked and it was the same turkey sausage every day for five straight days. Never saw bacon, never saw ham. The same soft boiled eggs and the same fruit. Variety is not their strong suit, but the breakfast is complimentary. There is no onsite restaurant at the hotel. The bar of soap they provide for bathing is tiny. I enjoyed my stay here. If you're looking for clean, comfortable and practical, it is definitely all of that. A couple of my co-workers did not love their rooms on the 4th floor. They said for some reason it smelled like pee up there, so maybe ask for one of the other floors if you get a choice. I had no issues with my room or the service at the hotel. They don't charge for parking and there is plenty of parking in the lot or parking structure. If you want comfort and convenience, this hotel is great for that. If you're looking for something where you can hear the water, then you should pick a hotel closer to the beach.

Its 15 min to the beach as well so it's not as fun if you're with kids to pack all the beach stuff every time and ride home with sandy kids. It's across the street from the speedway and a Gold's Gym. They have free breakfast, a kitchenette and Monday- thurs free evening appetizers and snacks. The front desk always seems a little flustered and their system is frequently down so they can't help much in terms of requesting for late checkouts, room key duplicates etc. I knocked off a star because the housekeeping staff were super slow in giving us the towels we called in for. It took almost all day for towels even after they cleaned our rooms, the towels were missing without any explanation. That was the main frustration with our stay otherwise we had a good stay.

First, no soap of any kind at the bathroom sink. Only a pump-bottle in the shower. I asked the front desk for soap, figuring it was just a mistake, but they verified this is standard. So you finish using the toilet, you got to go over to the shower and pump out a shot of "shower gel" then go to the sink to wash hands! Also, the commode did not flush with adequate power, requiring often two flushes and sometimes, your own efforts with TP or towel to reach down and wipe away 'crap' that did not go down with the weak flush! TV has a very weak system-- difficult to find channels, no ability to use apps like Netflix or to even find decent listing of channels. Just several CHEAP things like that that I suppose the management is using to save pennies, but they all add up to an inadequate hosting.
