Boyfriend suggested staying here - mainly because it was a super short walk to a restaurant we love and wanted to visit (El Mirador). Unfortunately, he wasn't thrilled with our stay here, and now swears, "never again!" - I'm more easy going so I wasn't super bothered by all the issues, although overall, I find that this place isn't really worth the money and other than the location, there's way better options around the area. Main problems we encountered... - No coffee maker in the room. - AC unit didn't look ancient, but for some reason was super loud. Now if I was by myself, I wouldn't care because I wouldn't be using AC, lol - the windows do open here. But yeah this one made loud clanking sounds - Boyfriend claims it "shook the whole room" when it came on, but I think he's being dramatic... anyway. - TV in room is pretty small and impossible to cast anything or plug in whatever Apple TV or what he usually brings to watch Netflix. It has local channels, but not as many as we get in the Littleton hotel and reception is really bad. - This was our second stay here. Last time we were on the top floor (room 333). This time we got placed directly under, in room 233 - and we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around as if they were wearing lead shoes. - Lots of families here. Bethlehem is very popular with Hasidic Jewish families and I would say 75% of the guests at this hotel this weekend, were Hasidic - which is not the issue, Boyfriend is Jewish himself - but I don't know if it's a cultural thing or what - these families - a very large group - were in the lobby *all day*. They were there when checked in at 3 - they were still there when we came back from dinner at 9pm. Kids running around, screaming, playing with toys, playing hide and seek, tag or whatever... I felt bad for the girl at reception! It was a bit overwhelming. - Receptionist spend a while explaining to me about the breakfast included, which isn't hot anymore, just muffins etc, on the go stuff or something. Tbh we weren't going to risk the breakfast area anyway, too crowded. - Rooms look good in photos, but not that great in person. Very basic, IKEA looking furniture. Everything wonky. *Except* for the bathrooms - nicely renovated and very clean. And I love the little toiletries instead of the refillable pumps we now find everywhere! So anyway. I don't know if we'll be back. We first stayed here in April 2025 and had gotten a super rate - I think we paid $110 for a night back then. At that price, I'd go back. For the US$250 we paid this weekend - bleh. Some positive... loved the outdoor area off the lobby (for some reason the kids never went out! So we had the whole space for ourselves:). Super location, very walkable to go around Bethlehem, and right across the street from a must-try restaurant! And the fireplaces outside and in the lobby are very nice and unique.

Our room faced the main street, but was relatively quiet. The room was very clean, nicely maintained, and the furnishings were classic. While there was no formal desk in our room, one of the nightstands was large enough to set up a laptop for my work. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was high quality and immaculate. The pillows varied, offering something to please everyone, whether you like a firm or soft/comfy pillow. The shower was the only reason I'm giving this motel four stars, in its price category. The water seemed to cycle from lukewarm to perfectly hot to scalding, repeatedly. After three rapid cycles of this, I gave up on getting a good shower. However, the towels were among the most luxurious I've seen at any hotel, even high-end resorts. One of the high points of this motel is the view from the rear-facing windows (there were two in our room). It is magnificent. We'd stay here again, and hope the shower/hot water situation is resolved by then. I know it's the shoulder season, but it's rare to find such clean, comfortable accommodations in the $60/night range. I arrived about an hour before the front desk was closing, and the check-in was quick and easy. The staff gave us directions to the back of the motel to find our numbered parking spot, which was right by our room. It was so convenient for unloading our car and getting inside quickly, especially with the rain. The room was clean, cozy, and just what we needed for a couple of nights. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the pillows were the same. The room stayed warm, and the waffle blanket was just the right weight. There were a couple of armchairs, a desk, a set of drawers, a mini fridge, microwave, nightstand, alarm clock, and a large flat-screen TV. I had to mess with the settings a bit to adjust the brightness (someone had turned it all the way down), but once we figured it out, we were able to enjoy Raiders of the Lost Ark. :) The bathroom was very clean, and although there was a jetted tub, we didn't use it. The hot water came on quickly, which was a welcome relief after a day on the slopes. The location is convenient too, right on the main road through Conway, with a short drive to the outlets and downtown. There's outdoor seating just outside the room and a pool in the back for the warmer months. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this place. I'd definitely recommend it. Oh... and that was one fabulous peacock wall clock. A statement for sure.

When you go to sleep, all you can hear is the cricket chorus, the occasional animal in the woods and ducks playing in the water. Dark- there are only lights at the bathrooms/showers the rest of the campground is completely pitch black except for what your fellow campers set up. Bring a flashlight. The stars are BREATHTAKING! There is so much tree/leaf cover- you really feel like you are camping in the middle of a forest (because you are). The Swift River- While you can't really go "swimming", it gets deep in spots, but it is fantastic for lazy tubing, cooling off and plopping your chairs in the water and chatting for hours. The water is clear, clean and cold. Wonderful! My two sons and I along with their friends spent days digging up rocks from the river bed and worked on making a dam next to our site- ridiculous simple, fun. Location- centrally located and not far from Conway, Meredith and Ossipee. Staff - friendly and helpful Firepits/grills- the pits are cemented down in location, which is fine. They are large, round, and have a convenient grill attached. There is NOTHING like burgers cooked over a bed of charcoal or wood. Site cleanliness - The sites all have a bed of gravel laid down on them and are raked/cleaned - along with the ashes/debris from the firepit- after a party leaves and before the next arrive. There is not much ground cover, bushes, grass, which keeps down on the bugs & ticks. Speaking of that, we may have just been there at the right time of year, but there were almost zero bugs! CONS - Cleanliness/Condition of facilities- I would've given this campground 5 stars however their bathrooms and showers are really showing their age. A bit dilapidated and very dirty- lots of spiders/webs/nest/cocoons- shows that they haven't been deep cleaned in a LONG time. I know, it is the woods and there will be bugs, but if the facilities were deep cleaned at least occasionally, it wouldn't be this bad. The showers are coin operated- .25$ for 5 minutes- which is doable. I hear/see that they are in the process of updating their entrance/camp store, so hopefully their bathroom/showers are in line for an update as well. RECOMMENDATIONS - If you can, get a premium, river-side spot, the further from the entrance/beach the better. Though you will have a hike to get to the bathrooms, the quiet/dark is wonderful and having the river at your doorstep is amazing! We were at site 28 and it was large enough for 3 cars and 3+ tents with room to spare. Went to sleep listening to the crickets and the murmur of the river, woke up to songbirds and the sun. The river also cools your site by about 10 degrees as compared to our friends site which was closer to the office. Our site also had electric and water as well- bring a 50'ft cord and it will stretch to every spot on your site. SUMMARY - Beautiful, quiet, dark, cool and for the most part clean. Spring for a river spot. Hopefully with the coming updates, they will address the bathrooms/showers issues with cleanliness. Would definitely stay here again.

The small kitchen works if you are prepared and smart. We brought our cast iron pan which worked well. The cabins are on two sides of a busy road. The newer air conditioned ones and larger cabins are by themselves and the smaller units are by the office and pool on the other side of the road. The comforter was dirty and the bathroom needed another pass. The garbage from the last guests had not been removed which meant we couldn't really enjoy the porch because of the garbage smell.
