We stayed at the Marshall Mi location. The carpeted area between the two beds was wet. The spell of urine was strong. We would not have been able to change rooms as they were full. I believe hotels should also offer some pet free rooms as well. For a rate of $200.00 a night, that was unacceptable! We will no longer stay at Hampton Inns. read more

Convenient right next to I-94 but a little further away from the traffic sounds compared to the Hampton over in Battle Creek. I prefer this one. The room was clean and quiet and comfortable. Work desk and work chair were comfortable. Wifi worked well without the usual evening slow down. The bathroom was clean and there was enough space to spread out all of my stuff. Plenty of towels. I opted to leave the DND on the door for my four nights and it was honored. The beds were fine enough that I slept on one for two nights and rather than have the housekeeping come in, I simply switched to the other for the other two nights. Breakfast was standard Hampton. Eggs or a pre-made omelet of some sort, a breakfast meat, breads for toasting, yogurts, fruit, juices and some pastries. The breakfast area was clean. Other than sharing a small plaza with a Denny's and a gas station/pizza place, there is nothing within walking distance. There is lots in downtown Marshall that's only a mile or two away. Bed was ok, shower was ok, separate chair should be thrown away. Tub faucet wouldn't shut off, wallpaper bad in bathroom. Thermostat on wall disconnected? No real glasses in bathroom only four paper cups in room. Days Inn style coffee maker. Breakfast was better than average for average hotels. read more

Most important to me is this room was CLEAN! Beds were very comfortable and clean, no odor, bedside clock, clean carpet, and breakfast the next morning. This location is only 6 minutes from Firekeepers casino and we took the back roads up to the casino. Fyi the fitness room has only got a treadmill, so don't go in thinking you'll have any weights or other machines to workout. That is the only downfall. Would we stay again? Absolutely!!!! read more

We have stayed here many times And have always had clean rooms however this time we came in to stay and we couldn't watch tv bad reception, we had traveled 61/2 hours threw bad thunderstorms and was ready to catch some tv and rest a bit. Called down to let them know that our tv reception was bad my husband checked wires on tv to make sure they weren't loose. We asked for a new room they were booked up so asked if they would give us a discount they did but it was a small one and. They night staff was a little smug. Quite the worst experience in my traveling lifetime. This establishment does not qualify for the definition of a hotel. It is nothing more than an overpriced dormitory, a shame on the Hilton name. Every effort is made by the absent management to cut corners on service and expense, and leave the nice young people at the front desk powerless to do anything other than apologize. Breakfast was so appalling we adjourned to the nearby Denny's only to find that no kind of service is applied to the expensive (nearly $200 per night) we'd booked. We had to make our own bed! We had to re-use the same paper thin bath towels we'd used that morning. Ugh! Unless you've no other choice, steer clear of Mr Felix Ramos' and his skinflint "hotel". Friendly staff working at an older hotel. Can see the upgrades on the front of the building but inside still very old look and feel. Exercise equipment was filthy. Breakfast offerings individually wrapped and looked good if you are looking to carb load. Coffee not so good. Location just off 94 which made it convenient to get in and out. Gas station and Denny's on the corner. Drive 5min into downtown Marshall for several great eating establishments. read more

This hotel is by far one of the cleanest, nicest and most welcoming hotels. I've ever stepped into. I delivered some freight here and in all my years. Of driving truck. This was by far the nicest and easiest hotel I've ever delivered to. The manager. Felix R. was the best manager I've ever had the honor to meet. We enjoyed our impromptu stay here on our driving vacation. The front desk staff seemed nice. The rooms were comfortable, but I do agree with other reviewers regarding the thin walls. We were on the second floor (bad move on our part, we should have asked for the top floor) and when the people upstairs from us entered their room it sounded like a herd of elephants. Thankfully, they were quiet after that. The breakfast was passable, standard free breakfast fare, nothing to write home about but it did get us on the road without needing to stop for food. The woman working the breakfast buffet was delightful! The only thing that seemed ridiculous was that it was $3 cheaper to book on the Hilton Honor app and the hotel couldn't honor the rate, so I booked on the app and waited for the reservation to come through to the hotel. Let's start by saying, I travel for work, and am very particular about hotels. This stay was great. Our party of 14 were visiting the Firekeepers Casino in nearby Battlecreek to celebrate a family member's birthday. We booked 5 rooms at this establishment at $120 per night. The lobby was spotless and the front desk personnel, throughout our entire stay was friendly, approachable and eager to please. Our room was CLEAN, bathroom, main area etc. There was also free breakfast included with our stay, which hubby and I skipped, but other family members enjoyed. The only complaint was that the walls were a bit thin, so we could hear hallway traffic and those in the room on either side of us. This would not deter me from staying there again. The first night and breakfast was not all that bad. The 2nd morning, the weekend, breakfast was poor, cold eggs, and rock hard french toast. The plastic knife couldn't even cut it. We let the room to see some sights returning at 10:30 and the room wasn't cleaned, no sign of the cleaning staff yet, so we put out the no disturb sign so we can change our clothes. We left at 12:30 removing the sigh. The girls were right across the hall. When returning later that night we found the room had not been cleaned. The desk brought us towels, but said it was our fault that the room was not cleaned. Quoting the Hilton policy that allowed the room to be skipped. After talking to the desk during checkout, the management made it right by taking a night off the bill. Impressive. read more

The Hampton inn in Marshall Michigan is very clean , the room are clean and well taken care of. Are room that was on the third floor it had a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is very nice for left overs or prepared meals. There are plenty of outlets for your phone or tablets. They offer a nice breakfast in the morning. But if you want there is a Denneys in the parking lot !!! Also easy on and easy off from I-94. read more

Very clean and very friendly front desk staff. They also have pack n plays for babies, which is a big plus in our book. The pool was a bit cold, but our kids had a great time. The sound insulation isn't bad at all. There's a Dennys and a hungry howies within walking distance and a great breakfast on site. read more
