Stayed at the Hampton Inn in New Albany, Mississippi and had a great experience. Check-in was super easy with the digital key, which made everything quick and convenient. I also really liked the large selection in their Sweet Shop--lots of snacks and drinks to choose from, which is always nice when you're traveling. read more

This is your very basic off the freeway hotel. If you need a safe place to stay in a comfortable room for one night only this is a good option. Service was welcoming and it really felt like they cared about my visit. The room was a bit noisy being near the highway so keep that in mind. Needs MAJOR updating. Rust on shower door frame, ripped hallway carpets, room carpet seems dirty and old. No fitted sheet on our bed - had to call housekeeping. They brought one in 15 minutes. Sad to see Hampton in that condition. read more

Nope. While fixing the toilet myself, I noticed curly black hairs in the bathroom - my hair is blonde. I then smelled a funk and tracked it down to a plastic bag in the closet with someone else's wet clothes in it. There were brown stains and nail clippings on the carpet, there was no fridge or microwave, and when I woke up in the morning, my complimentary coffee and cups weren't of any use because there was no coffee maker... Went downstairs to find no coffee there either at 8:00am. It seems like the only thing staff did prior to my stay was make the bed - I'd put money on them using the same sheets too... Hilton corporate would be disgusted and should disown this place for their names sake. read more

This is not a typical Hampton Inn. This location needs remodeling and new management or ownership. Bathroom sink faucet was broken, lamp shade was severely damaged, light bulb missing from the fixture, towels were badly stained, wallpaper was torn. The breakfast offering was terrible. Reason for Travel: Business Duration: October 1-Feb 28, on and off Review: Booking Services: I usually called ahead of time and made a reservation with a real English-speaking person. Guest Services: When you travel for business and you visit frequently, people start referring to you by your last name. Their staff is very professional but treated my like family by the end of the first week there. By the end of February, I had become part of a small community! It was fantastic. I love each of them! Security: Well-lit parking lot at night. It's located on a busy highway with much tractor-trailer activity, so be prepared for that and request a room on the opposite side of the highway if you have issues sleeping at night. Room: Immaculate each time I visited. They gave me first choice when I booked because I visited so often. My room had a desk with an office chair, microwave, fridge, phone, cable t.v., free wifi, a HUGE closet with a mirror attached, blow dryer, and coffee maker. Bathroom: Spacious, always clean! The water pressure was ok. I've experienced worse. One night I was there and they had a hot water issue, where some of the rooms didn't have hot water and some of them did. I reported it to the front desk, where in a matter of moments, the technician was at my door to address the problem. In about 30 minutes, he had fixed the problem and I was taking a relaxing, hot shower! Breakfast: A vast assortment of choices! Grits, Oatmeal, yogurt, juices, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, different muffins and pastries, waffles, and then--the hot side, which was different everyday. Sometimes scrambled eggs and canadian bacon, or cheese omelets with country potatoes and bacon or sausage. You never knew which selection they would offer from day to day, but it was always delicious! Dinner: What hotel offers free dinner?? Well, Hampton Inn in New Albany, of course. Tues-Thurs, guests can enjoy a free dinner, which is REAL food and not some bar fare slosh! Meatloaf, green beans, corn bread, and country potatoes or sometimes grilled chicken on a stick. I never knew what the choice would be, but here again, it was always delicious. They even served sweet and sour chicken one night, which was good. Oh, did I mention FREE BEER? Yep, free beer with dinner as well as soda and bottled water! Pet Policy: FREE!! One night, my husband brought my 2 labs to see me while I was there for an extended week! The ladies at the desk didn't charge me 1 dime for them to come visit for a few hours! Amenities: Indoor heated pool. I've posted pics. The water was too cold for me to take a dip. Indoor fitness room with cardio, free weights, a bosu ball, a yoga mat and a t.v. I think they also had a few medicine balls of various weight! I liked the fitness room. I didn't get an opportunity to use it as much as I would have liked. In-house snack bar: multiple items for purchase. 24 hour coffee bar--always stocked with multi-flavored creamers and a variety of sweetners, hot cocoa, and teas! They also have a full laundry mat, but I didn't use it. Overall, I LOVED staying here and would stay here again for personal travels or business. I really hate to have to leave this review because we have frequented this hotel several times a year with minor issues but never this bad. I have family in Alabama so when we travel from Missouri, we stop here because they are pet friendly and welcome our little chiweenie. Our latest trip we left the dog at home and were on our way to move my son in his dorm at university of Alabama. We had gotten a late start so we arrived around 8 pm. We were tired, hungry and just wanted to get settled. Upon arrival, the lobby was unswept and disarray, no coffee and cookies as usual, the full length mirror was leaning on the wall that it usually hung on, and we learned of a few changes because of COVID19, like no buffet breakfast...that's a huge deal breaker with a college age son but we decided to just get hot breakfast somewhere when we departed in the morning. We received our keys and headed up to our room. On our way, the elevator floor was filthy and the halls were not vacuumed. We saw blue sticker seals on doors that let you know the room had been cleaned with Lysol. That really was a nice surprise after seeing the unkept public areas and finding out about the cold prepackaged breakfast...however when we found our room, WE DID NOT HAVE A STICKER...and our key didn't work. So I sent my son to get the key recoded and tell them about the blue sticker. They switch our room but it didn't have a blue sticker either so I called the front desk and she said, the housekeeping probably just ran out of stickers. We were too tired to complain more so we accepted our possible COVID19 fate. After we settled in, we picked up dinner and brought it back. Time for showers, I was going to have a bath since my body ached from driving all day. After seeing the mold in the tub, I changed my mind. So actually, the no sticker meant the room wasn't cleaned. Friendly, competent staff with clean rooms and a decent breakfast? All for around $99? Yeah I'll take it and be quite happy with it. Despite having easy access to the highway, we didn't notice any noise and slept very well. Showers were hot. Heat worked great on a very cold evening. I stayed here 3 years ago and it was great. I was shocked to enter my room and find NO refrigerator or microwave! I have stayed at many, many Hampton Inns - including this one- and they always had them! I even brought a microwave meal to eat for dinner and a cooler of things to put in the fridge. I should have complained and left but I drove over 11 hours today and just want to sleep. Very disappointed!! I will think twice before staying at a Hilton property again! read more

Drove from Oklahoma City to Hampton Inn in New Albany. Have been staying there for 7years. Always carried our dog and the pet was always welcomed. Made reservations and the amount was 104.00. Got to the property to check in and was told a pet fee of 50.00 (non-refundable) was being added. Told the lady we had never paid the fee in seven years. Said the policy was there but was never enforced. The rub was we drove 500 +- miles for this property and nobody forwarded us of the fee. Rooms were not very nice and some of them did not have refrigerators in them. Very cheap so didn't expect much honestly. Amazing staff though, they did make the experience much better. All of the staff should get raises because of how kind and helpful they are. If I ever came to New Albany again, I would look for a different hotel. read more

This is not the same Hampton Inn from 5 years ago. We used to stay here several times a year so was surprised at the lack of cleanliness. The carpet in hallway and in the room needed to be vacuumed and cleaned! I couldn't walk on carpet in bare feet. The clock wasn't set at the time, 4 hours off. Phone not plugged in, had to look under bed to find cord to connect phone to call front desk. Sink would not drain right away. Took every bit of 10 minutes. Mildew in bathtub and soap dish. "The best place to stay in New Albany..." I have stayed here 2x and both visits were great. The staff works hard to keep you happy. The rooms are very nice and they have a wonderful breakfast buffet. They have a little area where you can purchase snacks, drinks and toiletries. There is a nice flat screen TV in the buffet area which is kept on at all times and in the winter they have a faux fireplace that is heated! Love this place! read more

I've stayed here a couple of time's & i've enjoyed both, the staff are friendly & the rooms are clean crisp, fresh & comfortable. The beds are as comfy as anything i've slept in & given the location to the road there is zero noise to keep you awake. The breakfast bar has a great selection to fuel ya for the morning ahead plus there is a hot beverage counter in the foyer for you all day, with free news papers (if you wish to peruse the goings-on the media has to offer in paper form while drinking your coffee). I have found it a very warm & welcoming place to stay, very relaxed & comfortable & the next time i'm passing thru will choose to stay there. read more
