We travel cross country a lot and the majority of our stays are at Hampton Inn,this HI left a lot to be desired for cleanliness; random hair (curly) left in soap dish, wobbly bathroom sink faucet, spilled food stains left in refrigerator, curtain drape across coat hangers for a closet ( did they run out of money for the closet)??? Then they add extra money on my bill for incidentals??? ie breakage?, phone calls??? When I called to complain to the manager I was told she wouldn't be there until tomorrow so I related to the desk clerk (Jennie) my complaints, no apologies, nothing and was told the extra charges would come off in 3-5 day??? WTH We never had extra charges put on our bill EVER (Hilton honors member)at any HI before...Plus they must have problems at this place since you need your room card to get in after 10:00 pm...The breakfast was to say the least, meager, and substandard unlike the Hampton Inn we stayed at last night in Wheeling West Virginia, like night and day... You could see they tried at some levels to keep it clean but management is really not being very attentive to the we customer experience...

Clean and quiet. Nice place. Ground floor room, nice. Would have preferred full coverage window covering for night time.

A typical Hampton Inn, good bed and hot breakfast. It could use a little refreshing but it was clean.

I also had to have a company credit card shipped to the hotel and they had it waiting for me at the front desk. So bravo to the management and staff here! Thank you for making my chicken after a very long day so easy. I have a two queen room, with very comfortable beds. The room has a dresser, mini fridge, microwave coffee maker, hairdryer, and Desk for me to work at when I'm not in the office. There's a spacious closet and the bathroom is large and not cramped. The continental breakfast has everything you need or want and is included in your room price. And I love the social happy hour, the pool, the hot tub and gym are all great amenities. Their toiletries selection, snack and drinks selection are more affordable than some convenient stores. That saved me when I didn't have a car and realized I forgot several items. Saint Charles location is in the middle of its own little town and there are restaurants and stores all around it so you really don't even need a car. I was able to Uber to and from work and then find whatever I needed at the hotel or right around it

We did not want to drive back out late with any intoxicated patrons. He checked in around 2-3pm. Called me and already told me that the cable wasn't working in our room. I arrived at 5 pm on my own. The staff were somewhat friendly. When i politely asked one of the ladies about coffee cups as they had it still out for serving. I felt like it was an inconvenience to her to restock. I get that it's New Year's Eve and they were busy with people hangout playing pool being loud. Our room itself was nice, clean, and perfect for the one night stay. We had a king bed. Their devote is very modern like. I like the calming colors they use throughout the building. I was bummed that we didn't get a good city view, but we will make sure to get that next time. They do have free WiFi that you can utilize for a weeks worth. The cable wouldn't work still. I did have to call guest services to see what they'd be able to do. They only suggested for us to unplug everything to reboot. After 3 tries it finally started to work. I do like how their checkout is at noon. Most hotels it's around 11. They have continental breakfast from 6:30-9:30. By time I went downstairs around 8:30 everything was picked over. I was surprised many were up already after nye celebrations. Overall, we had a decent stay. Just minor mishaps, but I'd stay again. Their coffee isn't the best, I was hoping Picasso 's would have been open. Shower was nice! I liked how the room had coat hooks for shorter people like myself. If it wasn't for the cable and some of the staff. I'd rate it a 5!

Hotel overall is clean, the parking lot has plenty of parking overlooking the freeway. Staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. The man in charge of the breakfast station was very attentive. This place even has an indoor pool! The room of course is new, so it looks stunning and feels comfortable. We were in a first floor suite The only negative is that it was a handicap/ADA suite so when you take a shower, water really gets ALL over the bathroom. The AC control seemed broken when we came in, but after adjusting it a bit, the AC fired on. Overall, it's a great place to stay if you're in the St Charles/St Peters area.

Everything seemed fine until the night of July 2, when I received a call after 9 PM from what appeared to be a personal number. The caller, who identified herself as a hotel employee or manager, informed me that due to a "maintenance issue" she didn't expect to be resolved in time, she needed to move us to a different room. She initially offered a King Suite, which I declined because we needed separate beds. She then said the only other option was a standard 2 Queen room, explaining that there were only four suites and the others had been booked "months ago." I couldn't verify that, but I distinctly remember seeing multiple suites available when I made my reservation. I can't prove it but the timing and explanation felt suspicious. To make matters worse, the call was clearly made from her home. In the background, people were shouting and a dog was barking loudly. She began yelling at them with the phone still at her mouth so I was essentially being shouted at. When I asked her to stop yelling into the phone, she launched into a personal rant about her family. Honestly, I didn't need or want to hear that. We discussed room options, and I reluctantly agreed to a ground floor 2 Queen room. She tried to frame it as a favor, saying I'd be saving money since the suite was more expensive. Of course, I already knew that, the suite had more space, an extra bathroom, and a separate sitting area, which is exactly why I booked it. She said she'd "discount" the new room to $150 base rate. After the call, I logged into the Best Western site to review the updated reservation. The new room didn't meet our needs; it lacked even a comfortable chair to relax in after a long drive. Just a couple of wooden chairs at a table. For a leisure trip, this downgrade felt like a deal-breaker, so I canceled the reservation. Out of curiosity, I checked the current rate for the same type of room she moved us to and it was listed at $136 base rate. So her "discounted" rate of $150 was actually more expensive than the standard rate I could've booked myself. That felt incredibly dishonest. At that point, I was glad I canceled. I no longer trusted the hotel or its staff. I'm disappointed we had to cancel our trip altogether; we could've found another hotel, but the experience left a bad taste in our mouths, and we've decided to stay home for the holiday instead.

Boone's Colonial is not a traditional bed and breakfast. First, there is no one on-sight. You must call before arrival and the innkeeper will let you in and give you the keys. Second, there isn't a breakfast, though there are snacks and water. Finally, they do have nightly housekeeping. In regards to staying, there are pros and cons. 1. We stayed in the French Colonial suite. This suite is street level and walks out onto the pedestrian sidewalk. It wasn't overly noisy, but lacked privacy. Lots of people walked by and glanced into the windows of our room. Also, you can hear street traffic at night though that died down after midnight. I thought the "right in the heart of it" location was fun once I got over the initial shock. 2. There was another couple on the first floor with us staying in the Spanish Colonial suite. That room is also street level but faces the back alley. It has a queen bed, the French has a king. We did not hear them at all which was a pleasant surprise in an old building. 3. The room had its own air conditioner but I'm not convinced it worked. Well, it worked, but I don't think it ever got as cool as we wanted at night. 4. We brought our son and they made a little cot up for him which was very nice. 5. The room is missing a few comforts including an ironing board, a safe, lotion, a fan, and we only had two pillows. 6. The room has Netflix. 7. I had read on the Inn's site that it came with French bath products and a Colonial nightgown set. It did not. The bath products and towels were definitely a missed opportunity to make the stay extra special. The products were all mismatched samples and the towels were worn. 8. The bed is very comfortable. We slept well. Overall, at $250 per night, I think the price is a little much for what you get, but it's a very nice room and the location seems safe and fun. We were most definitely comfortable.
